Salute to a Visionary and a Great American - To Emulate

Posted on 2:43 PM by Unknown

There are those who have openly and publicly proclaimed that our Constitution is outdated. Apparently they do not understand the Constitution and those that designed it, for that is why amendments were added and the rules set for changing, repealing or adding amendments was included – for the Founders had wisdom enough to know that times would change and our Constitution, if not applicable or required an additional amendment, it could be so by two-thirds of the vote of Congress and ratified by a majority of the states.

When a Supreme Court Justice openly, on foreign television interview, disavows her pledge to uphold the Constitution and protect it and when a president and members of Congress choose to not only ignore the Constitution, but devise ways around it or change it without the two-thirds majority vote and ratification required – America and its People are in trouble.
Americans today are spending more time scrutinizing the private lives of the founders, not out of curiosity or for the sake of true history, but to slander their names so they can go forward with their progression towards socialism and worse. Our nation was once a model to follow for all nations, and that was the concept of the origination of the United Nations – which has presided the United States progression towards corruption and immoral power. Yet, we still cling to the atrocity it has become. We cannot and should not give in to those that would destroy our Constitution, its traditions and values, or allow its society to become corrupted by a minority that is fast growing in ranks because of ignorance or children raised in public schools to believe what the government has instructed to teach. We are no longer ruled by a majority, but are at the mercy of the powerful minority in government – the “establishment” of good old boys who wish to keep their status quo no matter what the consequences are for the People and the future of our great nation.
Like the Founders, there have been great leaders in America – from governors to the President of the United States, but few can be compared to the original founders, like George Washing, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams and others.
Ronald Reagan Presidential Library photo
I present to you a video below that is taken from speeches made by another great American, a man of vision, and who saw the crooked road ahead; yet still could handle the issues at hand in the present term. His name was Ronald Reagan, and I will confess to you that I admired him but didn't appreciate him enough while he served two terms in the Oval Office. He was a man of vision, a man with a down-home sense of humor that even made his political opponents and the negative media laugh and like him. I was serving my country in the United States Army, admired him for his support and true caring for the troops who swore allegiance to him as our Commander-in-Chief as well as to the People of the United States of America; and while it is no excuse not to have kept up on as much as I should have of what was going on back home, it is difficult when serving overseas.
So, for you younger generations, who seem not to have heroes like my generation, I present this video to you and as a reminder that the road that lies ahead depends upon YOU and ME – that means we should choose more carefully and with open eyes and open mind who operates our government for US – from the city council to the President of the United States, we must guard our liberties, our individualism and all the other rights that was provided in writing by wise men who long ago created a nation like no other nation in the history of civilization. Here is the video:

If this does not inspire and convince you that the People of this nation, from all walks of life, every race, creed, color, gender, and age – then I am sorry for you, but We the People must move on past your ignorance and refusal to search for the truth in a sea of misinformation that those who would take away those liberties and rights that so many worked hard for, some lost material things, and others gave the ultimate sacrifice – their lives.
Words from a speech given by Ronald Reagan

AGU: Crony Capitalism at the Academy Awards

Posted on 3:31 PM by Unknown

There is an emerging movement that is beginning to influence the local narrative and local grassroots activism here in Hollywood, CA.

American Grizzlies United (AGU) and other engaged citizen activists had a huge success earlier this month. A coalition of grassroots activists came together, set aside the wedge issues, and focused on rooting out crony capitalism and corruption.

And we won.

Here in Los Angeles entrenched crony capitalists had a scam going called CRA. (California Redevelopment Agencies).

It was straight up pay to play corrupt politics and everyone who was paying attention knew it.

The mother of all monuments to Los Angeles crony capitalism is the Hollywood/Highland Complex which houses the Kodak Theatre right here in Hollywood.

If you choose to watch the Academy Awards tomorrow night, here's a little something to think about while all the open minded and tolerant celebrities gather to pat themselves on the back.

The Hollywood/Highland Complex was a CRA project built for $625 million in tax payer dollars.

Shortly after the complex was built; it was sold for only $201 Million to one of LA City Councilman (and probable Mayoral candidate) Gil Garcetti’s best buddies, the CIM Group.

That is a 67% discount off the construction cost.

But the corruption didn’t stop there. This mayoral wannabe and the other council members gave CIM Group an extra $30 Million in taxpayer dollars to rehab the Kodak Theatre.

That means this one project lost (or stole?) $454 Million in tax payer dollars.

That is close to a $1/2 Billion loss.

And how much incremental property tax dollars does CIM Group pay into the general fund? None. Zero. Zip. Nada.

This is not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of risk, of sacrifice, or reward for hard work and a job well done.

This is the crony capitalism of connections, handouts, and the peddling of corporate welfare.

This is the same crony capitalism that destroyed Europe’s economies.

AGU is honored and proud to say that this scam is now dead.

The CRA-LA is dead because a coalition of grassroots activists, set wedge issues aside, came together, rose up, said HELL NO and brought real change to Los Angeles.

Our work continues...

Freedom of Choice: Time To Choose

Posted on 6:05 PM by Unknown

Freedom of Choice is important. It reminds me, however, of the old knight in the Indiana Jones adventure film that told "Indy" to "choose wisely" when told to pick the true goblet used by Jesus the Christ at the Last Supper.
The crossroads for America – a time to choose first began with Bill Clinton, then GW Bush and now Barack Obama. That crossroad has been chosen by an apathetic American public, who listens to mainstream media (who chooses candidates for you by (1) refusing candidate coverage of who THEY don't support; and (2) by using the power of media to attack character and mislead the public. It is not just the Progressives within the Democratic Party – it is the GOP establishment as well, who is barely better than the left that they constantly denounce publicly and in their campaign rhetoric.
Another part of the “establishment” are the lobbyists who persuade members of Congress in special interest decisions and legislation that helps big business, while the general public is left behind. The other part of the “establishment” are those that have power behind the scenes, using public demonstrations and the conceptual tool of political correctness who have infiltrated our government at different levels, to include the military, and in demonstrations that usually end up to be violent – while all the time discounting peaceful protest from reputable groups like the Tea Party Movement. The media assists the establishment, on both sides of the political fence instead of reporting in an objective manner. I am referring to NEWS, not talking head pundits writing columns or authoring blogs; the latter being opinion that is not necessarily complete facts or lacking thereof.
Daren Jonescu:
In short, a president with constitutionalist tendencies, and egged on by a fully-energized Tea Party movement, would, by his very presence, show up the farce that Washington politics has been—including on the “R” side of the ledger—for so long. And this would be an implicit poke in the eye with a sharp stick to everyone currently presiding in the Republican Establishment, i.e. the people who have been complicit in creating the current mess.
We have been in the computer age and approaching what is called the “Nano Age” – with a valuable tool of information called the Internet to search for Truthand complete information. It is the last bastion of freedom that the government has not taken control of – and even that is in jeopardy because of the Progressives continuous march towards socialism and total government control.
This is not a doomsday article or a dwelling upon conspiracies.
It is a wake-up call to the People of America – the citizens of the United States to awaken and if you have become awaken – act.
Voting is not a privilege – it is a right.
Yet, not enough exercise that right or when they do, they don't take it serious enough to do their own research and investigation of candidates who are running for office to make a logical and responsible choice. You and I still have the right to choose, but that time is slowly slipping into the mist of history, as the media becomes more powerful and selective as to who it supports – as well as manipulating news, a form of information, important to the citizens of any nation.

Newt Gingrich has been made to look like he is part of the “establishment” – but his record shows differently. He is being attacked by the media and the “moderate”candidates, who have been selected for support by the GOP establishment. Sarah Palin was/is a maverick and cares not whether it be “conservatives” or “progressives” that do not conform to constitutional law or abuses their gift of the voters of America their tasks required in elective office. She is supporting Newt Gingrich because of those reasons.
We have seen the Progressives try to dismantle the electoral vote with seemingly beneficial reasons, and recently, we have seen their hidden agenda of changing the Constitution into an unrecognizable form to where it will no longer be worth the paper it is written upon.
The “establishment” is the minority in Washington who hand out carrots to the American people to entice them to see things their way – meanwhile blaming everyone and everything else instead of looking inward at their policies and seeing what must be done. They even turn against each other, as this primary election as proven, in the name of looking “tough” to stand against the Obama Nation political machine that he and his cohorts have so artfully crafted.
What is the GOP establishment pushing as an agenda?
They think that a moderate candidate is the choice, “moderate” meaning one who gives in when they should be standing for principles and protecting the Constitution, its amendments, and the rights and liberties of ALL American citizens.
The candidate of choice for these “elite” members of political power is a moderate from Massachusetts and a close second from Pennsylvania.
Newt Gingrich has also been chastised for his personal life in matters concerning his ex-wife; yet they let a sociopath individual like Bill Clinton get away with scandal after scandal – even after taking advantage of a young intern, have extra-marital sex in the Oval Office, and lying on a televised segment as well as under oath. He ruined the life of that young girl, while he remains unscathed and not ostracized by the American's who don't seem to care about character, unless it is someone other than one of the good old boys of the Democratic Party. He even writes a book about it and the public still supports him by purchasing it.
Putting all this examination of character aside, not because it is not important to elect someone with good character, but the focus should be upon the issues – unlike political fence-riding, Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum who seems to think it fitting to preach from the political pulpit not really addressing the issues and riding on the coattails of the GOP establishment.
After the issues are addressed and the plans made, the winner must also be prepared to stand up to President Obama in the political battle for the highest office in the land.
The establishment want people to believe they are conservative constitutionalists – but they do not truly support the Tea Party movement or any true reformation of political doctrine and business-as-usual politics in Washington. They want to remain in the status quo where their power operates behind the lines.
Meanwhile, they ignore the real threats, while preaching to us the threats upon their positions, not what issues that pertain to America and its people – the “Welfare of the People”.
They say they do, but show us upon obtaining control in elected offices, that the Constitution must be protected in order to protect the rights and liberties of the people.
The conservatives have generally been either apathetic or the “silent majority” - and now they are coming out strong; but their memory span seems to be too short. They have left behind Newt Gingrich who started out strong, but the public was, once again, horn-waggled by the mainstream media (even some normally conservative-thinking pundits) and behind the scene establishment.
They don't want Gingrich to get power – they remember how much trouble he caused them in the 1990s; despite pretending to back the chief architect of Contract With America, a political historical document that the American people could actually read about the agenda to address issues of the time. Some of those issues still remain, unsolved, because the establishment has gotten their way and the American people lose their focus by paying too much attention to negative TV ad campaigning (too many formulating their voter's choice in this way), and taking for granted that what is disseminated by the mainstream media is true.
The choice is clear: If you want limited government, someone not afraid to speak out, someone who doesn't just talk about conservative politics, but lives it; someone who actually has an agenda to reduce the tax burden, balance the budget and cut deficits sharply – and most importantly, getting government out of our personal lives, a place where freedom of choice is not only an “unalienable right” – but dictated within the documentation of the Constitution as part of your rights and liberties guaranteed by the Founders and true statesmen who followed, to ensure everyone had their rights and liberties in writing in order for it to be secured. But constitutional laws are only as secure as the People allow it to be and allow whom they elect to perform the tasks required.
We are at the wire. It is time to bring those percentage points back to Gingrich, who is the only one out of three candidates that would be able to stand up to the devious politics and media leaning of the Progressive movement. To stand up once again against the GOP establishment.
Let's not have another GW Bush for president – and certainly not another four years of what we have seen with the president in the Oval Office now.
Gingrich is not giving up; but he needs our help to fulfill his goals and promises to the American people.
Some say he is an opportunist, which I read from some pundit. But calling a specific politician an “opportunist” is a a joke – they are all seeking opportunities. The big question is: What opportunity are they seeking?
If they are elected, are they going to use that opportunity wisely and For the People?
Choose to stand up and be heard – against the establishment and the mainstream media.
Don't stand by and force the rest of us to pick the best out of the worst of the candidate who wins the primary against the Obama machine.
It's Time To Choose America – please consider Newt Gingrich. He is the best choice out of three other candidates.
Let Ron Paul remain in Congress where he does best.
Let Newt Gingrich serve as the next President of the United States.

Blacks: Free Yourself From The Slavery of Economic Tyranny

Posted on 4:29 PM by Unknown
Runaway Slave: Run From Tyranny To Liberty

The Runaway Slave Movie

From the creators of Tea Party: The Documentary Film comes a new documentary about freedom. Runaway Slave exposes the economic slavery of the black community to the Progressive, big government policies of the U.S. government.  The film’s heroes are black conservatives who are speaking out so that all Americans can truly be “free at last.”

The film’s central figure is Rev. C.L. Bryant, a self-professed “runaway slave. A former NAACP chapter president in Garland, TX, C.L. abandoned an organization he felt was more about political posturing, and less about civil rights. As a former Democratic Radical who escaped the bondage of Progressivism and denounced the shackles of entitlements, he has committed himself to helping others secure the blessings of liberty that are guaranteed by the Constitution with his new found conservative values.

Rev. Bryant takes viewers on an historic journey across America that traces the footsteps of runaway slaves who escaped along routes that became known as the Underground Railroad to freedom. But in the film, he travels a “new underground railroad” upon which Black Conservatives are speaking out against big government policies which have established a “new plantation” where “overseers” like the NAACP and so-called “civil rights” leaders keep the Black community 95 percent beholden to one political party.

Citing statistics that demonstrate increasingly high rates of abortion, crime, unemployment and single parent households in the black community, the film features interviews with politicians and everyday Americans including economist Thomas Sowell, Dr. Alveda King, U.S. Representative Allen West, GOP Presidential Candidate Herman Cain, activist Star Parker and many others. Images from national events in Washington, D.C. provide a shocking look into the mindset of the liberal left as they seek to oppress black Americans every day.Its underlying theme asks the questions: What does the black community have to show for its 95% support of the Democratic Party? Is it truly “free at last?”

For Christians Only: Who Is On The Lord's Side?

Posted on 7:43 AM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

What I am about to say is exclusively directed to those who call themselves Christians. Brothers and sisters in Christ, we are at war; a war for the hearts, minds and souls of our children. We are at war with those who hate the traditional principles, values and morals which have made America an extraordinarily successful unique experiment. We are at war with those who deny America's Christian roots and seek a godless society.

Some may choose to ignore my report because of their hatred for the rich (the sin of covetousness), others may stuff their ears with cotton as not to hear me because of their deep seeded racism and loyalty to skin-color (the sin of idolatry). Your response is irrelevant. As a Christian, I am called to be salt. Thus, I will simply tell you the truth and what you choose to do with that truth is between you and God.

We are at war! -- at war with the Church of Liberalism. You will know them by their vitriolic disdain for any and all things Christian and their showing Dracula-the-cross reaction to the name of Jesus Christ. They seek to ban prayer from all public events. Incidences where prayer is allowed, mentioning Jesus is forbidden and deemed offensive. They ban Nativity scenes from public facilities at Christmas or Winter-Fest as they prefer to call it. They want the Ten commandments removed from public buildings.

Embolden by the supportive climate created by the Obama administration, the Church of Liberalism members have stepped up their attacks against Christians. For years, churches in New York have been renting public buildings, after hours, for services. New York Mayor Bloomberg supports a new policy which bans the rental of public buildings to churches.

Members of the Church of Liberalism include a majority of the mainstream media and the Democratic Party including president Obama.

In a nutshell, the driving philosophy of the Church of Liberalism is man is god. They believe only man, not God, can fix every problem – population, the environment and etc. Such is a philosophy of vanity, arrogance and folly. Charlton Heston speaks of man's foolish vanity regarding climate change.

In a Biblical context, theirs is unquestionably, the Spirit of Anti-Christ. They believe man can establish utopia; a land of total fairness and equal outcomes – brought about by confiscating from achievers to give to non-achievers.

Biblical charity is people giving out of their compassion for others. God promises to reward them. There is no spiritual reward for government mandated giving/confiscation. This is tyranny.

The Church of Liberalism says homosexuality is as natural as being left-handed. In their world, even if the head of a baby is out, abortion is still OK, as no one should be “punished” with having a baby. Theirs is a land ruled by “Moral Relativism” which means no one has moral authority to declare anything right or wrong. So, if someone needed your car, they have a right to take and keep it.

Obama, the Democratic Party and the mainstream media (all members of the Church of Liberalism) support taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood which is trying to hook our kids on sex and sell them on the idea that homosexuality is natural. [Viewer discretion advised!!]

A majority of the entertainment industry are committed members of the Church of Liberalism, promoting a godless immoral agenda. Singer, Roman, mocked the Catholic Church during the Grammy Awards and nobody cares.  Cee Lo Green became a mega star because of his song, “F--- You”.

Against what Christians believe to be God's word, President Obama has mandated that Christians pay for contraception/abortion services. Obama's minions have launched a campaign to brand all who oppose Obama forcing Christians to fund abortion services to be haters of women, trying to “ban” contraception. THIS IS A LIE! No one is trying to ban contraception. Contraception is readily available to any woman who chooses to use it. So why is Obama hell-bent on making Christians pay for it? We are at war! – Obama's Church of Liberalism vs the Church of Jesus Christ. Who is on the Lord's side?

Obama claims Jesus would support his socialist policies.

Mr. President, how dare you side with those who despise Jesus and try to block Jesus' teachings at every opportunity. Then, you exploit the name of Jesus by distorting Jesus' message to further the godless philosophy of Socialism. Woe be unto you!

Jesus is not a socialist. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 “...if any man will not work, neither let him eat.”

Brothers and sisters, the Obama reelection campaign's peddle to the metal drive toward Socialism is not for some great altruistic purpose. The more we surrender our liberty and freedom to government to sustain us rather than putting our faith and trust is God, the more the Church of Liberalism will consume and control our lives. And trust me folks when I say, their view and value of human life is far different than the Biblical view of life. In a nutshell, Church of Liberalism disciples believe the life of an endangered bird to equal to that of a human.

Ephesians 4:27 “"Do not yield to the suggestions and temptations of Satan...” To win your vote, Obama is despicably using “class envy” to “temp” you to succumb to the sin of covetousness. First he demonizes the rich, convincing you to believe you have too little because the rich are hogging it all. Then, he says reelect me and I vow to get even with those rich S-O-Bs and give you your “fair” share.

Barrack Hussein Obama is the Progressive's Trojan Horse, presented to us three years ago as a moderate. The Progressive's secret army have been charging out of a hidden door in Obama ever since, attacking our culture, liberty, freedom and Christians daily and relentlessly. Brothers and sisters, we are at war! Who is on the Lord's side?

Fond Memories of Ronnie

Posted on 1:55 PM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

Our 40th president's birthday earlier this month caused me to reflect upon how Ronald Reagan impacted my life.

In 1981, I was a young singer/songwriter, clueless about politics, when Ronald Reagan won the presidency. An event planner asked me to perform at an Inaugural Ball.

Reporters asked, “Why are you here and why do you like Reagan?” I could not help noticing the baffled looks on their faces upon hearing my reply. “I like Reagan because every time I hear this man speak, I feel good about my country and myself.”

I later learned that as a black person, I was suppose to hate Reagan. Democrats said Reagan's talk about welfare reform was “code” for his racism and hatred of blacks. As I said, I was young and clueless regarding politics, codes and such. And yet, in my gut, I knew Reagan was a good man.

My aunt hated Reagan. She said, “Reagan wants to cut my check!” Even as a non-politically informed person, I noticed my Aunt's bold and arrogant sense of entitlement in her voice when she said, “My check!” Here is a woman who from as far back as I can remember lived in the projects on welfare. I do not ever remember her having a job. In fairness, if my Aunt had a disability which prevented her from working, I never knew of it, as it was not visible. She had five kids and a boyfriend, but no husband.

Her daughter got pregnant really early out of wedlock with both the new teen mother and her baby adding to the welfare roll. My Aunt's drug using sons, my cousins, impregnated girls out of wedlock, repeating the welfare government dependency cycle.

I overheard my mom commenting to my dad about how her sister practically lived in the Johns Hopkins Hospital Emergency room. At the slightest cough, off my Aunt went with her child to the emergency room. But why shouldn't she? It was free.

So, you can understand my being taken back a bit hearing my young seemingly healthy Aunt who had lived her whole life, totally dependent on government, trashing Reagan for daring to suggest she do something for her freebies or receive a little less.

Over the years, I have grown to have compassion for my Aunt. Our lives are a manifestation of what we believe. Tragically, my Aunt had little or no confidence in her ability to succeed in America. I believe the Democratic Party promoting that America is a racist country and blacks can survive only via democrat legislated government programs contributed to my Aunt's distorted view of her country; the greatest land of opportunity on the planet for all who choose to go for it.

Ronald Reagan inspired me to believe in myself and America.

I believe you can tell a lot about the character of a person based on how they treat “the little people”; people who can not advance their career or social standing.

On TV, a former secret service agent told a great story about Ronald Reagan confirming, in my mind, Reagan's greatness. The agent said he and Reagan had been out horseback riding. Upon their return, Reagan always prepared his horse to be put away. On this occasion, due to Alzheimer's disease, Reagan could not remember the procedure for putting away his horse. The agent felt bad for Reagan and was visibly upset. Reagan feeling compassion for the agent said, “It's OK.”

Rather than feeling pity for himself, Reagan chose to comfort his bodyguard/secret service agent. I found the secret service agent's story quite moving and a window into Reagan's character. The Bible speaks about Jesus, the master, washing his servant's/disciple's feet. I believe Reagan's attempt to comfort the secret service agent was, in essence, washing his servant's feet; thus, displaying Reagan's greatness as a leader. Inspired, I penned a tribute song to Ronald Reagan, respectfully borrowing Mrs. Reagan's nickname for the president titled, “Ronnie Stayed The Same”.

Despite all of his landmark achievements, Ronald Reagan never forgot who he was. Reagan knew how to connect with us, the American people and we connected with him. Mr President, we miss you.

Is Media Matters Obama's Watergate
By Jeffrey Lord
The American Spectator
February 21, 2012

Valerie Jarrett, Anita Dunn the new John Ehrlichman? White House, private investigators.

Can you say Tony Ulasewicz?

OK. Let's get down to cases. The case of Media Matters and all those deeply interesting stories over at Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller.

Let's add some history. Context.

Let's focus on one solitary, very bright thread in this series of stories about Media Matters, specifically the relationship between Media Matters and the Obama White House.

There is one very disturbing, very serious precedent that provides a direct link between the Obama White House and its Media Matters buddies -- and the famous Watergate scandal that brought down the Nixon presidency.

AGU: 2012 Primary Candidates

Posted on 10:22 AM by Unknown

American Grizzlies United (AGU) is a grassroots organization dedicated to organizing, educating, and training volunteers for American political elections.

AGU does not endorse candidates. We focus our efforts on providing volunteers and the general public with information, ideas, and guidance so that they can choose which candidates to give their support to.

Our free online resources: The Grizzly Doctrine; A Crib Sheet, AGU Citizen Activism Guide, and Grizzly Delegates all contain information collected by AGU to help you become politically active in your community and get real electoral results.

Our project Organize4Palin (O4P) had a 67% success rate in the 2010 mid-terms.

O4P helped Governor Palin elect: 1 Secretary of State, 2 Attorneys General, 6 Senators, 7 Governors, and 37 House Reps.

Because of our organizations achievement and the favorable outcome of the 2010 election cycle, AGU has received many calls, emails, and tweets from candidates seeking your help again in the 2012 primaries.

Here is a list of the candidates running for office in the 2012 GOP primaries who have reached out to us asking for your assistance.

Georgia Judge Misapplies The Law By Ruling That Anchor Babies Are Natural Born Citizens, And Thus May Serve As POTUS

Georgia and Birthright Citizenship
By Cindy Simpson
AmericanThinker.com
February 20, 2012

Some interesting events have been transpiring in Georgia over the last few weeks.  At least, that is, in the right wing blogosphere's view -- the mainstream media orchestrated a complete blackout.  And it wasn't because big media missed the show, since I personally saw them holding the spotlights and cameras. The footage was simply left on the cutting room floor.

Georgia is home to some brave citizens who dared to challenge, under state law, President Obama's constitutional eligibility to run for a second term. The three cases stipulated that Obama was not qualified as a "natural born" citizen because his father was not a US citizen.  As reported here on American Thinker in a series of columns, the administrative judge found for the defendant, and last week, Georgia's Secretary of State Brian Kemp upheld the ruling -- that Obama's name should appear on Georgia's 2012 ballot.

That decision was rendered even though Obama and his attorney, Michael Jablonski, failed to respond to a valid subpoena, and neither appeared at the January 26 hearings.  In the initial stages of the challenges, Jablonski filed motions to dismiss, which were denied. The day before the hearings, Jablonski delivered a defiant letter, over Judge Michael Malihi's head, to the secretary of state, warning that neither he nor Obama would attend. Neither the judge nor Kemp seemed to mind, however.  Nor did the media.

Media Matters Intimidates Conservative Editors From Reviewing 'Deconstructing Obama'

Media Matters For America vs. An Ordinary American
By Jack Cashill

February 20, 2012

With the creepy mischief of Media Matters for America (MMFA) much in the news, I thought it might be useful to show how the Soros-funded MMFA conspires to keep even a semi-obscure, self-employed scribe like me in check.

As far as I can tell, I first ambled into MMFA's sights in October 2008 with my research into the authorship of Barack Obama's acclaimed 1995 memoir, Dreams From My Father. To be fair, the tone of the first MMFA posting was relatively civil, even if the content was simplistic to the point of silly.

AGU: HELP WANTED; Grizzly Delegates for Tampa

Posted on 9:59 AM by Unknown
Introduction written by American Grizzlies United (AGU) Board Member R. F. Lawrence

We've been hearing the buzz for weeks on the possibility of a contested convention - one in which no candidate arrives in Tampa with the required majority of delegates to claim the nomination. Regardless of whether the GOP actually arrives at a contested convention or not, it would behoove us all to have a convention attended largely by delegates of ethical standards and a loyalty to the interests of the people of their state, not staffed by ambitious party loyalists and insiders whose main goal may be simply to further their career. It is therefore imperative that we all properly educate ourselves about the rules regarding the convention, the selection of the GOP nominee, and the election of the delegates to the convention.

The simple answer to the question of how to become a delegate to the national convention is that there is no simple answer. The process varies by state, and even within each state, the process may vary by county. How each county selects the representatives to the district convention is managed by the county leadership. Information about how your precinct and county will be represented should be available from your local GOP county website. If you do a search online on "How to become a delegate," you will doubtless find some tutorials, instructions, and links to various state pages. Ron Paul's supporters have been extremely organized and proactive about researching and disseminating this information online. Check the sources and the dates for any information you read online. The best resource is your county GOP - they ultimately make the rules.

Although the deadlines to be nominated up the delegate ladder may have passed in many states, there's still plenty of time to get involved in others. Usually, the delegate selection process is not started until after a state holds its primary.

Whatever happens at the convention, we need to make sure that we send good people as delegates.

R. F. Lawrence

Board Member; American Grizzlies United

AGU: HELP WANTED; Grizzly Delegates for Tampa!

Because the individual rules for selecting delegates vary by state (and even within each state, the process can vary by county) you are going to have to do your own homework.

Delegates are chosen at the various levels of the party conventions. The selection process begins at the precinct (or district) level, then marches on to the county level, and lastly the state level; where the national convention delegates are selected.

Here are some resources that will help you become a Grizzly Delegate for your state:

'When the state eliminates God, the state becomes god"

Our Father, Who Art in Washington
By Ebben Raves
AmericanThinker.com
February 19, 2012

Images can be powerful. We have all seen films of the Nuremburg rallies. The torchlight processions, the banners, the chanting crowds: all purposely staged to elevate one man to a status as something more than human, a benevolent leader who promised fairness and payback against the evil enemies of the people. All things were possible through him. The trains would run on time, the capitalists and bankers would pay for taking advantage of the people. Social justice would finally be achieved if only the people would pledge themselves to him.

Juxtapose those images with a 2008 party rally in a Denver stadium. The Greek columns, the giant television screens, the laser light show: all dedicated to elevate a man who promised the wars would end, the earth would heal, and the oceans would halt their rise. Peace and justice at last. He was the one we were waiting for. Goebbels would have been proud.

Birds of a Feather: The Myth of Icarus Parallels the Myth of Obama

Posted on 8:35 AM by Unknown
birds of a feather the myth of icarus parallels the myth of obamaWho can forget the night of August 28, 2008 when Barack Obama strode onto the stage at Denver’s Invesco Field to accept the nomination of the DNC as their presidential candidate?  More than 70,000 screaming and cheering fans greeted the new Olympian god, Obama, as he made his entrance through the pillars of a Greek temple. The acolytes succumbed to the magic spell cast by Obama during the campaign.  Little did his devotees realize then that within one year Obama’s popularity and policy ideas would spiral downward so precipitously and so quickly.

At the pinnacle of Obama’s popularity, Rasmussen’s Obama Approval Index Month-by-Month showed him with a 23% approval rating.  It's now one year later, and Obama is underwater with a -15% approval rating.  Perhaps a Greek tragedy is in the making, but not one that surprises those of us who took the pains to investigate this mortal during the presidential election campaign.  The blogosphere did its homework.  The mainstream media did not.

Since Obama initiated his ascent to the presidency with allusions to Greece, it’s appropriate that we reaquaint ourselves with the Greek mythological tale of Daedalus and Icarus because they and Obama are birds of a feather.

Greek myths are rich with allegories that personify abstract ideas like hope, charity, beauty, love, fidelity, intelligence, and evil.  To modern minds, Greek myths are absurd, but these myths served a moral purpose in their own times.  Once we get past the ridiculous imagery and the supernatural powers of the mythological characters, we discover morality lessons relevant to our time.

French psychologist, Paul Diel, authored a book, Symbolism in Greek Mythology: Human Desire and Its Transformations in which he used introspective analysis and the psychology of motivation to decipher mythological characters.  He then applied his analyses to modern human behavior.  When this book was published in 1972, Barack Obama was only 11.  If Diel were alive today, he would probably be the first to notice the parallels between the myth of Icarus and the myth of Barack Obama.

Here is a synopsis of the story of Daedalus and Icarus:
The labyrinth . . . was built by Daedalus, a most skilful artificer.  It was an edifice with numberless winding passages and turnings opening into one another, and seeming to have neither beginning nor end, like the river Meander, which returns on itself, and flows now onward, now backward, in its course to the sea.  Daedalus built the labyrinth for King Minos, but afterwards lost the favor of the king, and was shut up in a tower.  He contrived to make his escape from his prison, but could not leave the island by sea, as the king kept strict watch on all the vessels, and permitted none to sail without being carefully searched.   “Minos may control the land and the sea,” said Daedalus, “but not the regions of the air.  I will try that way.” So he set to work to fabricate wings for himself and his young son Icarus.  He wrought feathers together, beginning with the smallest and adding larger, so as to form an increasing surface.  The larger ones he secured with thread and the smaller with wax, and gave the whole a gentle curvature like the wings of a bird.  Icarus, the boy, stood and looked on, sometimes running to gather up the feathers which the wind had blow away, and then handling the wax and working it over with his fingers . . .

When at last the work was done, the artist, waving his wings, found himself buoyed upward, and hung suspended, poising himself on the beaten air.  He next equipped his son in the same manner, and taught him how to fly, as a bird tempts her young ones from the lofty nest into the air.  When all was prepared for flight he said, “Icarus, my son, I charge you to keep at a moderate height, for if you fly too low the damp will clog your wings, and if too high the heat will melt them.  Keep near me and you will be safe.”  While he gave him these instructions and fitted the wings to his shoulders, the face of the father was wet with tears, and his hands trembled.  He kissed the boy, not knowing that it was for the last time.  Then rising on his wings, he flew off, encouraging him to follow, and looked back from his own flight to see how his son managed his wings . . .

They passed Samos and Delos on the left and Lebynthos on the right when the boy, exulting in his career, began to leave the guidance of his companion and soar upward as if to reach heaven.  The nearness of the blazing sun softened the wax which held the feathers together, and they came off.  He fluttered with his arms, but no feathers remained to hold the air.  While his mouth uttered cries to his father it was submerged in the blue waters of the sea, which thenceforth was called by his name. His father cried, “Icarus, Icarus, where are you?”
On a simplistic level, you could say the moral of the story is that a child should follow a parent’s advice, but the moral, according to Diel, is psychologically more complex, with each symbol connected to a psychic function.

In this myth, the labyrinth represents man’s subconscious mind with its dark winding passages.  The father, Daedalus, symbolizes perverse intellect, because he is imprisoned within the labyrinth that he created with his technological skills.  He desires to rise above the despair found in his subconscious, so he attempts to escape from the labyrinth, but in so doing he misuses his talents again when he creates artificial wings that are not fully up to the task.  Daedalus imagines these frail feathers will elevate father and son to a higher euphoria.   His son Icarus symbolizes intellect blinded by vanity.  As a couplet of father and son, this filial relationship represents “a direct line of descent between qualities (or defects) of the soul.”  By this Diel means:
The intellect (father) has become perverted imagination (son).  He has vainly put his trust in wings that are no more than artifice; he has ceased to heed sound advice; he has gone beyond all bounds of moderation; he intends to become spirit; he is determined to reach the sun.  This is the final and decisive state in the rebellion of psychic life, it is not surprising that the dream of flight is typical.  But it is most particularly the dream of the neurotic person whose illness consists precisely in wanting, but being unable to achieve spiritualization:  symbolically, in being unable to fly.

This dream-flight is the expression of vanity:  the neurotic individual finding satisfaction in his dream flight, symbolizes his real but ex
alted desire to surpass himself . . . However, all exalted desire turns easily into anguish, and vanity into guiltiness.  Thus in dreams, flight is frequently thwarted by insuperable obstacles:  an accurate expression of what is going on in the psyche of the neurotic person. The desire for elevation and its fulfillment in dreams change into the anguish of falling and even into dreams of falling (this is the symbolic expression of actual experience, of rue setbacks, which are the inescapable consequences of a faulty attitude towards real life).  The dream of flying becomes a nightmare.
It is similarly symbolic that Barack Obama’s exaltation into the political arena began when he published his book “Dreams From My Father”.  Not only does his story have a connection to a father of perverse intellect, but also Obama, like Icarus, has attempted to ascend from the dark labyrinth of his lonely past by developing perverse vanity (wings) to help him escape the pain of abandonment by his father and mother.  This does not mean that Barack Obama deserves pity.  Many have endured worse in their childhoods without developing vanity and artifice as a means of achieving personal success.  No, Barack Obama, has put his trust in his managers and in his oratorical skills to convey a false image of omnipotence for himself. Which begs the question, who is this man?

Barack Obama is a mythological phantasmagoria, with vain dreams of fame and power. This mortal's past has purposely been hidden from public view.  In its place an image has been created and nurtured by a number of dark angels, including Frank Marshall Davis, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, Rashid Khalidi, Jeremiah Wright, Alice Palmer, George Soros, Valerie Jarrett, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, David Plouffe, and the Perkins Coie law firm.  These people represent the strings and wax of Obama’s wings, which elevated him into the White House. Without these masters of puppetry, the unknown rabble rouser from Chicago would not have been elected President of the United States. Vanity inspired Obama to become complicit in their plans to hide his background in a labyrinth.  Together they are attempting to transform America into a statist's utopia.

Like his sibling, Icarus, Obama has finally begun his political death spiral, because he is an ideologue incapable of moderating his statist's views.  He may once again attempt to exalt himself in the public's eye with soothing words, and give an appearance of moving to the political middle, but he won't be able to maintain his lofty rhetoric for long.  The public is now wary.

Obama doesn't understand the philosophical basis of moderation, referred to by the Greeks as the golden mean (the desirable middle between two extremes); he certainly does not practice bipartisanship, regardless of his rhetoric. Most certainly, Obama doesn't agree with America’s founding constitutional principles.  His lack of understanding about economics will become one of his Achilles’ heel, and the other will be his weak and feckless approach to foreign policy.  And, finally, Obama does not agree with capitalism, which has been the heartbeat of American success.  Pluck these feathers from his wings one by one, and watch him decend into obscurity.  Already,  Obama's feathers are falling off as his grandiose fantasies (wax) melt in the sunlight of public awareness and growing anger.

The American people who voted for Obama are finally realizing that he is a mere mortal with modest talents.  Obama is also a glib deceiver.  He dare not let people know who he really is.  Obama is perilously close to failure.

So erst with melting wax and loosen’d strings
Sunk hapless Icarus on unfaithful wings;
His scatter’d plumage danced upon the wave,
And sorrowing Mermaids deck’d his watery grave;
O’er his pale corse their pearly sea-flowers shed,
And strew’d with crimson moss his marble bed;
Struck in their coral towers the passing bell,
And wide in ocean toll’d his echoing knell.”

Erasmus Darwin, “The Botanic Garden: a poem, in two parts," 1807

Maybe we should also reacquaint ourselves with the story of the Greek Trojan Horse?
