Silence of the Conservative Lambs

Wow! I experienced it first hand. I wrote an article defending the biblical take on an issue. The mainstream media misquoted me – took my words out of context to portray me as someone I am not – a rabid hater. Recklessly, without reading my original article to learn what I actually said, several news sources re-printed a reporter's distortion of my article.

Folks, I have no problem standing up for what I believe or even being hated for it. But, the media had thousands hating me for something I never said. Associates became nervous about being associated with me. Public figures began denouncing me. It was a very stressful situation. My stress did not come from the Left hating me. I was stressed over how the Left's lies about me negatively affected the lives of others in my life.

Here is the scariest effect of the media's gang character assassination. For about thirty seconds, I actually thought about framing my words to be more politically-correct. I thought perhaps it would be wise to frame my words in such a way that the media could not distort and use them against me. You know, the old you can catch more flies with honey thing. Well, the problem with that strategy is that the media seeks to destroy conservatives, especially black conservatives such as myself. Therefore, they will spin any and everything I say into a negative to scare me into shutting up.

Whenever conservatives simply speak the truth, they are branded extremist by the mainstream media and advised by consultants to “moderate their tone”.  Meanwhile, liberals/Democrats make the most outrageous over the top statements without a peep of criticism from the mainstream media or their party. Democrat VP Biden said, “Republicans want y'all back (blacks) in chains”. Democrat Rep. Andre Carson said the Tea Party movement would “love” to see black Americans “hang from a tree”. 

Democrat Alan Grayson said, “Republicans want you to die quickly”.
Democrat Rep. Maxine Waters said, “The tea party can go straight to hell.” Think about that folks. Millions of Americans who oppose Obama ignoring the Constitution and cramming his socialist/progressive agenda down their throat have been told by a Democrat to go to hell.

Has anyone in the media accused Democrats of being mean-spirited? Has any Democrat denounced a fellow Democrat's outrageous statements? No.

But Conservatives/Republicans wrestle with each other to be first at the microphone to denounce the slightest faux pas by someone on our side. They kick fellow Conservatives/Republicans to the curb saying, How could so and so have said something so stupid? They're done!

I know what many of you are saying, Lloyd grow up! Character assassination is a mainstay of politics, particularly Democrat politics. I realize that, but this was the first time the full assault wrath of the MSM slapped me in the face. My “right” cheek is still bruised. I now understand why so many people back away from their words and succumb to pressures to embrace the media's consensus on issues.

We see it all the time. A pundit makes a statement opposite of the MSM's consensus. The MSM gang assaults the pundit. Then, the pundit dials-back their original comments.

The Left uses a three step technique to silence opposition and shame you into embracing their agenda. I learned about this technique via an article by the late Fred Hutchison.

As an example, let's use the issue of gun control.

Step One: Desensitization. The Left pounds away 24/7 on the news, movies and etc that Second Amendment advocates and gun owners are irresponsible rednecks who do not care about children being murdered. This is to “desensitize” citizens to the idea of being stripped of their Constitutional right to bear arms.

Step Two: Jamming. Jamming means to “shame” gun owners into silence regarding their desire to own firearms and their opposition to being disarmed. Jamming is based on the idea that most humans feel shame when they believe they are not thinking, feeling or acting like the masses.

Step Three: Conversion. Conversion is when the public has become receptive to the idea of government ignoring the Second Amendment. The MSM portraying gun owners as cruel heartless idiots is a psychological attack in the form of propaganda designed to convert the emotions, minds and will of Americans to side with anti-gun activists. If done skillfully enough, anti-gun activists will be perceived as heroes.

Patriots, we can not allow the Left to bully us into becoming silenced Conservative lambs. On every issue, the Left/MSM sets the narrative; giving the issue a thumbs up or a thumbs down. Anyone daring to disagree with their consensus will be destroyed. Their bullying is working. More and more Americans are afraid to speak their minds.

Special thanks to courageous advocates for truth, justice and the American Way such as Pamela Geller, Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck to name a few. Trust me folks when I say it ain't easy. These patriots, as I, are emboldened and driven by our love for the greatest nation on the planet.

Losing America is not an option. Therefore, we will not become silenced conservative lambs. Please join me in saying, neither will you!

Yes Rush, There IS Resistance to Obama!

Rush Limbaugh said something extremely profound at the end of his depressing monologue in which he declared that there is no resistance to Obama. Rush said sooner or later something will turn it around. It always does.

Well, the time is now and that something is us! We The People in the form of the tea party are still here. Though severely wounded, extremely discouraged, brutally battered, devastatingly betrayed and soundly rejected, we the resistance survived and are poised for battle. What's that line from the pop song? “What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.”

We cried, moped and many in a moment of frustration and hopelessness, temporarily gave up. We are human. Our pain is great. But when the dust cleared, and upon stabilizing our emotions, patriots defaulted back to what motivated them to join the resistance four years ago – love – love for the greatest nation on the planet and a burning desire not to allow it to be transformed into an abomination of the vision of our Founding Fathers. No Mr President, not on our watch!

As a Christian, I believe that as long as we stay faithful to Godly principles and values (Conservatism) we can expect a miracle at any moment. The Bible tells how one day Joseph was hopeless in prison with no release in sight. The next day Joseph was summoned to the King which led to him becoming a ruler, the King's right hand man. With God any and all things are possible.

Also, history confirms that no one knows enough to be fatalistic. From the ashes of the Goldwater campaign came the beginning of the legacy of Ronald Reagan.

After Bill Clinton beat George HW Bush in 1992 there was a sense that Clinton and the New Democrat Party were unstoppable, but it was the 1994 Midterms that saw the emergence of Newt Gingrich and the Republican Revolution that resulted in one of the largest shifts in political power in Congress in our nation's history.

Someone wisely said, “Pray for help, but swim for home!” In other words, along with praying for our nation, the resistance/patriots are organizing, and preparing, everyone doing their part to restore America to the constitutional principles of individual liberty and freedom on which our country was founded.

Folks, there’s a big story here that needs to make national news and I need YOUR help in breaking it wide open.

This could actually end up being the biggest story of the 2012 elections…but it’s hard to get conservative writers to focus on anything in Illinois, since the past incompetence of the GOP in our state has made it something of a laughingstock nationally.

One woman — a mom from the suburbs of Chicago — took it upon herself to mount a crusade against voter fraud here in Illinois and she is close to shutting down at least two major avenues of fraud that Democrats have relied on for DECADES in Chicagoland.  She’s been threatened, bullied, maligned, and stonewalled…and that’s just by the cocktail-party-Republicans here who are still in the mindset of “let’s not upset the apple cart”.  Democrats hate this woman because systematically she’s gone after one avenue of voter fraud after another, removing layers of fraud that Democrats have built into Illinois elections since the first Mayor Daley was magically finding boxes of votes to give John F. Kennedy the edge in 1960.

Her name is Sharon Meroni and she needs your help today.
It’s down to the wire and Sharon still needs 500 Republican election judges in Cook County…and she needs them by this coming Thursday.

The Ultimate Appeal To Persuade Fellow Blacks To Stop Voting Democrat

Candidly, I have struggled with this for years; how best to explain why I am a black conservative and why fellow black Americans should join me.

I served on a board with an extremely bright black mom. Both of her kids, a boy and a girl, are brilliant; her son received a full scholarship to Yale.

This black mom is well-read on “whiny” black liberal authors and philosophers. I am talking about the majority of black authors you see featured on mainstream TV. They sound extremely intellectual, explaining how white America is still systematically abusing blacks and why more heavily funded government programs are the answer. I feel like screaming at my TV, “Knock it off! Bottom line is you hate white people and are seeking more entitlement government freebies!” Such needy victim rhetoric has NOTHING to do with, nor does it achieve REAL, “black empowerment”. Frankly, these people turn my stomach.

As I said, the black mom is extremely well-read on victim-hood peddling black authors and has never heard of brilliant black conservatives Professor Walter Williams and Dr. Thomas Sowell.

Professor Walter E. Williams is an American economist and academic. He is the John M. Olin Distinguished Professor of Economics at George Mason University, as well as a syndicated columnist.

Dr. Thomas Sowell is an American economist, social theorist, political philosopher, and author of 30 books. Dr Sowell is currently a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University.

Both these guys are about “real” black empowerment, teaching personal responsibility, education, hard work and morality; not the standard blacks-are-eternal-victims and white-America-owes-us garbage spouted by black pundits on TV. Thus, you NEVER see Prof. Williams or Dr Sowell on mainstream TV. I love these guys, Prof. Williams and Dr. Sowell.

Black media and mainstream liberal media, for the most part, ignore black conservatives. It is shameful that I had to hear about distinguished black conservatives who have the their heads on straight from white conservative talk radio hosts.

On rare occasions when black media (talk radio, TV & etc) does recognize black conservatives, for the most part, it is to denigrate them – labeling them Uncle Toms, traitors to their race and self-loathing stupid n******.

Liberal mainstream media today strives to keep black conservatives “invisible”.

My 84 year old black dad never heard of Herman Cain until the liberal media's gleeful 24/7 coverage of alleged sexual harassment against Cain during his bid to win the Republican presidential nomination.

Think about that folks. Herman Cain is a black conservative author, business executive, radio host and syndicated columnist. Cain was the first black CEO of Godfather Pizza and CEO of the National Restaurant Association.

If embraced by Oprah, Tavis Smiley and the mainstream media, Herman Cain would have been a tremendous inspiration to young black entrepreneurs. But, the left “don't cotton” to uppity blacks who achieve the old-fashion way -- via education, hard work and character without government intervention or lowered standards.

Tragically, the left chose to introduce Herman Cain to black America as nothing more than a guy who can't keep it in his pants. This is how the left (liberal media and Democrats) love to demean, discredit and humiliate self-reliant, non-victim-minded blacks.

Still, I keep searching for the answer – what do I say to persuade blacks to, as that spiked haired blonde female dietitian used to say, “Stop the insanity!” How do I get fellow blacks to see beyond their racism and “honestly” assess their forty years of loyalty to the Democratic Party? Are blacks better off today than they were forty years ago? Remarkably, aspects of black life surrendered to Democrat policies and programs are far worse. Enough with the stupid, fact-free rhetoric which says, “I can't vote for a Republican because they are racist”. Historically and even today, most racism against blacks and whites, spews from the Democrats.

Black American brothers and sisters, the dems have been playin' you for suckers for far too long. They are not your friends. Their motivation and game are extremely simple.

The Democratic Party leadership has been infiltrated by arrogant power hungry liberals who think they know better than you how to run your life. They invent “fake” enemies via lies about Republicans being racist, mean-spirited control freaks. Ironically, this perfectly describes the modern Democratic leadership. Every Democrat campaign is the same. Vote for us! Surrender all power to us! We'll take care of you and protect you from the evil Republicans!

Meanwhile, under Obama, black unemployment has gone through the roof.
Black on black crime statistics are shockingly high. 
The black male high school dropout rate is at an epidemic high, only 25% graduated in New York.
Fifty percent of black pregnancies end in abortion. Since 1973, approximately 5 million blacks have died of AIDS, violent crimes, accidents, Cancer and heart disease combined. By far, abortion is the greatest cause of black deaths, 13 million. Blacks are committing a suicidal genocide.

Black America, how's that monolithic forty years of loyalty to the Democrats thing workin' out for ya'? As God continues to give me strength, I will continue my quest for the ultimate appeal that will persuade my fellow black Americans to stop the insanity of voting Democrat.

The criteria embraced by the liberal media, Democrats and some conservatives for selecting the 2012 Republican presidential nominee is quite clear. Imperfect conservatives need not apply. Conservative presidential candidates must have been born yesterday; not having lived long enough to break any of the Ten Commandments, make a mistake, say or do anything stupid.

However, in their short time on the planet, our conservative candidate along with possessing a “perfect past”, must display a masterful expertise of all topics foreign and domestic. Anything less means our conservative guy or gal is an incompetent idiot.

Then, there is the Reelect Obama Liberal Media/Democrat multi-headed dragon which is committed not only to simply defeating our conservative candidate, but beheading him or her and hanging their bloody dead carcass in the public square to discourage all future challengers of Liberalism. Our candidate is expected to flawlessly and masterfully battle this beast, winning every skirmish, lest we chorus that they are not quite presidential material.

Conservative presidential candidates unwilling to wear an “I heart Chaz” t-shirt are homophobic and vehement haters of homosexuals. Conservative candidates not having at least one Kanye West song in their iPod are white supremest redneck Tea Party racists. Black conservative Republican candidates are obviously self-loathing traitors to their race suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Meanwhile, the requirements for the Democratic presidential candidate are a bit less demanding. The liberal media's and the Democrats' candidate can hangout with self-proclaimed America haters. Their candidate can say America has 57 states and mispronounce corpsman as “corpse-man” and still be considered a genius. He can travel the world bowing to foreign leaders and apologizing for America. He can wreck America's economy, hostilely takeover a private auto company, cram government-controlled healthcare down our throats, bully banks and funnel money to his supporters via government bailouts. A New York Times article reported that the Time's candidate has abandoned pursuing the white working class vote to target entitlement-minded, loser Occupy voters without anyone raising an eyebrow.

Liberal media and Democrats do not give a rat's rear end about the character of their candidates as long as those candidates further Liberalism.

Conservative candidates are expected to have lived flawless lives without leeway to repent, learn and grow.

Peter in the Bible was a cruel tax collector who cowardly betrayed Jesus. And yet, speaking about Peter, Jesus said, “Upon this rock I will build my church.” St. Peter repented, developed and grew into a courageous Christian ultimately dying for his faith. If running for office today as a conservative, Peter's former cruelty and cowardly beginnings would end any hope of him being elected; too much stuff in his past.

Moses began as a murderer. And this religious guy Moses wants to lead his people to the Promised Land. The liberal media would say, “Forget about it; too much stuff in your past!”

Conservative presidential candidate Herman Cain is a gifted businessman of character; never been arrested, saved and created jobs and touched many lives in a positive way. However, some conservatives and the media say Cain is a little weak on foreign policy and has too much stuff in his past.

Conservative presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is really smart. Actually, Newt is brilliant with great ideas to reverse the devastatingly destructive results of liberalism. Newt would eat Obama's lunch in a debate. However, Newt does have his share of self admitted poor judgment calls. Thus, some conservatives and the media say Newt has too much stuff in his past.

Conservative presidential candidate Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has a great record in Minnesota. She and her husband adopted a ga-zillion kids which speaks to her great character. As with all conservative women, left-wing feminists despise Bachmann. If the feminists were true to their supposed mission, Bachmann would be their poster girl; a strong woman successful in and outside of the home. Instead, for reasons I do not understand, an NBC program introduced Bachmann by playing a song about a “lyin' a-- b----!” Bachmann has been attacked for comments she has made expressing her Christian faith. Some conservatives and the media say there is too much stuff in her past.

Conservative presidential candidate Gov. Rick Perry has been super in Texas. Some conservatives and the media say Perry is not the smoothest guy in the world during TV debates, is weak on immigration and has too much stuff in his past; something about a rock on a property rented by his family for hunting which still bears the “n” word, put there many years earlier. Surely, the Texas governor must be a member of the KKK. Bottom line, too much stuff in Perry's past.

The rest of the Republican field of contenders for the nomination have not yet been targeted by the liberal media. Rest assured, whoever rises to frontrunner status will be attacked and discovered to be racist, sexist, homophobic or stupid. The Republican candidate will be stripped naked and made to suffer the humiliation of “gang allegations” by the liberal media. For example. Upon becoming the frontrunner, Cain was declared an Uncle Tom, stupid and a serial sexist by the liberal media (as the knockout punch) by the liberal media.

We conservatives hold our candidates to a high standard. And for that, I make no apology and proudly name myself among you. Still, I believe any of our flawed conservative candidates are far superior to Obama in terms of their qualifications, core values and love for America. So I will not toss every frontrunner into the unelectable trash can whenever the liberal media dictates.

But obviously, some conservatives believe all of our conservative candidates are too flawed with too much stuff in their past to enthusiastically embrace as our Republican nominee. So, let's just settle for the “articulate and clean” RINO Romney, watch him go down in humiliating defeat and buckle our seat belts for four more years of Barack Hussein Obama.

Easy – conservatives tend to be polite, reasonable people with a genuine interest in honest debate and a quaint belief in the efficacy of things like “facts” and “evidence” as a way to demonstrate the truth.  No wonder they get rolled.  The other side believes in none of those things – its only belief is that leftism must prevail and any other value is disposable if it turns into a liability.  The answer is conservative judo – understanding how the Left works and using its own weight and momentum against it.  We need to start being less like butt-kissing conservanerd David Brooks and more like butt-kicking conservastud Chuck Norris.
