Romney vs. Obama: Dueling College Transcripts

10 Reasons Obama Must Disclose His College Records
Editorial
Investor's Business Daily
May 31, 2011

Vetting: Desperate, Obama supporters portray all who look into his past as "birthers." Now they ridicule efforts to find how a pot-smoking slacker got into Columbia and Harvard.

But Obama's college records are a legitimate campaign issue. Mysteries abound, chiefly concerning his transfer to Columbia and ascension to Harvard. Voters, moreover, have had the benefit of knowing other recent Democrat White House hopefuls' course work and grades. If there's nothing to hide, why not release these academic records? Why is the White House stonewalling? An objective press corps ought to be curious. But it has by and large refused to pursue the issue, even though it hectored George W. Bush to release his college transcripts. Here are 10 reasons the electorate has every right to see Obama's records:

AGU: #FightTheRecall; Sudden and Relentless Reform!

Posted on 3:01 PM by Unknown

Now is the time to protect the sudden and relentless reform put in place by Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch in Wisconsin.

On June 5th, Governor Walker, Lt. Gov. Kleefisch, and a handful of state senators are facing frivolous recall elections. Why? It is simple. Selfish Union Bosses prefer their own power over the solid, sudden and relentless reform Wisconsin has set in motion.

As you may remember, Governor Sarah Palin expressed support for Lt. Gov. Kleefisch earlier this year, and just this week predicted that conservatives would win in Wisconsin's recall. Governor Palin notes, "as goes Wisconsin, so goes America".

It's up to you to make this happen.

The last weekend before Election Day, Grizzlies have an opportunity to do our small part fighting alongside our neighbors in Wisconsin. We must protect the sudden and relentless reform set in place by the Walker-Kleefisch administration.

AGU-WI State Coordinator, Bill Lichter, has been working tirelessly at the Racine Victory Center in Racine, WI for the past several months.

American Grizzlies United and Organize4Palin are calling on you to join Bill on Saturday, June 2nd to assist with phone banking, block walking, and other "boots on the ground" support for Gov. Walker, Lt. Gov Kleefisch, and the 4 other recalled state senators.

The Victory Center is open from 9-9 every day, but Saturday is the best day for people to make the trip to Racine. It would be GRRREAT if we could get a hard working group of AGU & O4P Grizzlies to Wisconsin that Saturday to help out!

If you are interested in making the trip to Racine, please email AGU-IL State Coordinator Whitney Pitcher: illinois@organize4palin.com so that she can let Bill know how many of you will be there to help our Wisconsin neighbors.

Also Tea Party Express will have several rallies in Wisconsin that weekend.

Here is the Tea Party Express schedule.

If you can't make the trip to Wisconsin you can still GET YOUR GRRR ON and help from your home:

CLICK HERE and CLICK HERE to help from your home.

The Union Bosses are fueled and encouraged by Obama's Occupiers, who incite class warfare, and attempt to provoke crowds into coveting the fruits of their neighbors labor.

Other people have those things and we want them!

This is not the American way.

The Walker-Kleefisch sudden and relentless reform has helped private sector businesses create thousands of jobs, and turned a $3.6 billion budget deficit into a surplus, without raising taxes or cutting essential services.

The sudden and relentless reform led to 88% of Wisconsin job creators saying that Wisconsin is headed in the right direction.

Please join AGU in doing everything you can to protect these bold reformers who worked hard to put government back on the side of the people.

Email: AGU-IL State Coordinator Whitney Pitcher: illinois@organize4palin.com

Our work continues...

An Open Letter To The "Senior Staff" At Breitbart.com
By Tom Ballantyne Jr.
The Western Center for Journalism

Let’s get a few things straight here.  As much as we all loved Andrew Breitbart’s moxie, he, like virtually every other national Conservative who was or is a part of the “establishment” (read, those who have established themselves financially, and been acknowledged by their peers) had avoided the issue of the Constitutional eligibility of the president of the United States. Much like Sewanee, the University of the South, has avoided gridiron rematches with Texas, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Auburn, LSU, and Ole Miss since beating all eight (along with four other schools) in their 12-0 1899 season.  Far better to boast that they had once proved their mettle on the playing field than to have to do it again…in real time.

So, like the mythically-fearless Michelle Malkin, or the once-cocky and courageous Ann Coulter, the “Senior Staff” at Breitbart prefers to live off of past – and in their case, borrowed – glory. And, given their namesake’s own calculated denial of this historic issue, the youngsters at Breitbart apparently believe they can get away with it. But it’s tough trying to be all things to all people – especially when the views encompassed are diametrically opposed.

So here come the princes of political archeology – they can hardly be called monarchs in their own right – and they have a find…but it’s a sticky one.  You see, the recognized king of sequestration, the billionaire financier of burying (not excavating) the past, has declared certain digs “off limits.”  Those would be any that might uncover relics from the entombed past of the current Occupier-in-Chief.  So…to disclose or not to disclose?  Such a dilemma!  The heady thrill of breaking a story of potentially enormous national interest, as well as consequence…but on an officially quarantined (and hermetically-sealed) topic….  How to proceed?

Ah, the obvious approach…to break the story, but make sure that the purse-strings-that-be know that you yourselves don’t take it seriously.  Heaven forbid!  Bittersweet, but what could be more important at this point than one’s Arianna-approved “intellectual” (press) credentials – even if such a notion is in its very essence oxymoronic…or, just plain moronic?  So here we have it, in their own contortionist’s attempt at simultaneously claiming credit for, and dismissing, the obvious implications of a recently unearthed find:

President Obama Gay Marriage is not a Black Thing!

Posted on 1:18 PM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

It is becoming increasingly difficult to escape the left's in-your-face aggressive campaign to make homosexuality normal. Flipping through the channels, I caught a lesbian scene (two women kissing) on the Lifetime channel. The SiFi channel has a new series in which bi-sexual scenes involving the lead actress are a main staple of the show.

For crying out loud, I can not even get ideas to remodel my patio without homosexuality forced in my face on the Home and Garden channel. A homosexual couple is featured on most, if not all of their series. Given that gays are less than 2% of the population, clearly Home and Garden network producers are pushing the gay agenda.

And make no mistake about it folks, the left is extremely cunning and aggressive in their quest to make homosexuality considered normal – equal to heterosexuality. Heck, the left believes bisexuality is more enlightened and superior to both.

The left's indoctrination of our kids regarding homosexuality begins in kindergarten. Kids are taught Heather having two moms is really cool. As for us old farts, they simply bully us into submission. They put us in a political stranglehold with our arms bent behind our back; apply painful pressure until we yell, “OK, OK, homosexuality is normal!”

Now, every time I deal with the topic of homosexuality, liberals go crazy! They cuss me out and say I hate gays. I do not. As cliche as this might sound, some of my closest friends and family, who I love dearly, are gay. But loving someone does not mean one should be forced to approve their behavior.

Calling the opposition “haters” is a tried and true effective tool of the left to get-their-way. If you disagree with government forcing taxpayers to fund abortion against their religious beliefs, the left says you “hate” women. If you disapprove of the president ignoring the Constitution to implement his Socialistic agenda, the left says your disapproval is really “hate” for a black man. If you say gay civil unions are fine, but marriage should remain defined as one man and one woman, the left says you “hate” homosexuals. The left actually exploits our sense of decency, compassion and fair-play. They know accusing us of “hate” will in many cases silence our opposition and give them whatever they want.

The left are pretty selective regarding who they call intolerant haters. For example, the left claims Christians are vitriolic haters of gays. While the Bible does call homosexuality a sin, it says “with loving kindness have I drawn thee.”(Jeremiah 31:3)

As a teen touring Maryland black churches while on the Baltimore Youth Choir, gays were active in the black church. Black pastors preached the Bible, but I never saw homosexuals mistreated.

Meanwhile, the Muslim faith has zero tolerance for homosexuals. And yet, the left defends Islam to the max. The Noble Quran's punishment for unrepentant homosexuality is execution, crucifixion or cutting off of hands and feet. (The Noble Quran 5:33)  So why does the left, which include the mainstream media, enthusiastically defend Islam while despising and aggressively attacking Christianity? The answer is the left has a problem with Jesus; but that's for another article.

Recently, VP Joe Biden came out boldly in favor of same-sex marriage. Biden was laying the foundation for Obama to secure gay campaign contributions.

In typical democrat fashion of dividing Americans into various percieved voting blocs, Obama has thrown a bone to numerous groups to win their votes in November; women, college kids, blacks and occupiers. Now Obama is going after the gay vote/contributions. During a recent interview Obama said he supports gay marriage.

Obama coming out in support of gay marriage might be the single issue which awakens black Christian voters from their Obama Zombie trance.

As a black American who ignores skin-color, I can not begin to tell you how frustrating it has been attempting to persuade fellow blacks to see the devastating effects Obama's Socialistic policies have had not just on America in general, but particularly on the black community. Nothing seems to break their Black Code loyality to the first black president.

But this "gay thing" may be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

My dad and a super-liberal black minister friend consider a vote for a Republican to be a vote for the KKK. And yet, they both voted for Bush's second term to protest the Democrat's support of gay marriage.

As I stated, blacks fellowship with gays in church – love, live and play with them. But trying to make blacks say homosexuality is normal – “ain't happenin'”.

Obama's “Chicago Thug Way” Invades Wisconsin

Posted on 1:13 PM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

As Chairman of The Campaign To Defeat Barack Obama, I just returned back home to Florida from Wisconsin which is ground zero in the battle to stop Obama's ruination of America.  Like locust, Obama minions have swarmed the state of Wisconsin, devouring all who dare oppose their recall of Gov. Scott Walker for his efforts to restore his state to fiscal sanity. Obama minions organized mob protesters to storm the State Capitol. Death threats have been made against Gov. Walker, the Lieutenant Governor and their families.

Still, Gov. Walker has hung tough and is leading in the polls. This has forced Team Obama to spend more millions and send in the big guns: DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is headed to Wisconsin.

During my visits to cities across Wisconsin, I have chatted with numerous patriots who are elated and extremely grateful to Gov. Walker for displaying remarkable courage -- fighting back the forces of evil to keep his campaign promise to implement responsible budget reforms.

On this latest trip to La Crosse, Wisconsin, I heard a very disturbing tale from an 80-year-old businesswoman. For her safety, I will refer to her as Patriot Sue rather than using her real name. Patriot Sue's family business has been successful and highly respected since the 50s. But Patriot Sue wrote a local letter-to-the-editor in defense of Gov. Walker's reforms, and all “heck” broke loose – from false accusations in the media that she mistreats employees to threats against her and her family.

Patriot Sue expressed to me her frustration that some people do not understand how recalling Gov. Walker would negatively impact their pocketbooks.

I guess you cannot run a successful family business for over 50 years without having backbone. Though physically moving a little slow, Patriot Sue still has the spitfire of an 18 year old and the heart of a lion. She financially supports the defeat of the recall and still boldly speaks out in defense of Gov. Walker's reforms. You simply to do not tell this woman what she can or cannot do.

But folks, what I find most disturbing is that we have “presidential thugs”, in essence, emotionally threatening, and with threat of physically beating, an 80 year old woman and her family.

What am I saying? I am saying it is all about Obama. Leadership flows from the top down. The late Mary Kay said, “The speed of the leader is the speed of the gang.” Mary Kay's leadership and philosophy of God first, family second and Mary Kay Cosmetics third continue to inspire her army of successful businesswomen.

The Obama administration emits a distinct “Chicago Thug” vibe. In response to any and all opposition to Obama's socialistic agenda, Obama and his minions have used aggressive terms such as “...we will punch back twice as hard”, “punish our enemies”, get in their faces” and “take the SOBs out!” ...to name just a few.

Obama minions include the New Black Panthers and SEIU thugs who are the enforcers – intimidating voters and physically beating up black conservatives who dare be on the wrong side of Obama's agenda.

Team Obama is using Chicago-style bullying to award Obama an undeserved second term despite half the country on food stamps, the housing market in the tank, unemployment through the roof and sky rocketing energy prices. Yes, four more years of Obama's liberal-utopia-politically-correct policies is exactly what America needs.

To be re-elected, Obama is relying on class envy via crazy, absurd rants attacking the rich by VP Joe Biden to his dumbed-down base.  Obama is relying on Al Sharpton and his “we be black victims gang” to inspire enough hate in the hearts of black Americans to get them to the polls in November. And let us not forget Obama's on-the-street enforcers such as the New Black Panthers and SEIU thugs.

Obama minions take no prisoners. All are fair game, including a feisty 80-year-old businesswoman who dares to support Gov. Walker.

A 'Fact Checking Error'? Dystel & Goderich Ask Writers To Submit Their Own Bios

Submission guidelines at the Dystel & Goderich website (original emphasis): "[Y]ou should describe in two or three sentences—no more—what the book will be about. Media Works To Suppress Obama 'Born In Kenya' Bio
By Ben Shapiro
Breitbart.com

While the internet buzzed with Breitbart News’ release of a booklet from President Obama’s literary agency circa 1991 describing him as being “born in Kenya,” the mainstream media still refuses to report the story, or plays defense for Obama.

Never mind that the agency used the “born in Kenya” biography until 2007. Never mind that authors who have worked with the agency state that the agency asks that authors pen their own biographies. Never mind that Obama has routinely padded his biographical details to appeal to particular audiences.
Nothing to see here.

A Word From Tom Lipscomb
By Scott Johnson
PowerlineBlog.com
May 18, 2012

ABC has reported the statement issued by Obama’s literary agency on the “born in Kenya” deal. Our friend Tom Lipscomb has just posted a comment on his Facebook page. Given Tom’s experience in the business, his views merit the consideration of interested observers. Here is Tom’s comment in full:

IF YOU WANT A LITERARY AGENCY THAT WILL LIE FOR YOU OUTRAGEOUSLY TRY DYSTEL AND GOEDERICH

A limp statement was squirted out yesterday after the Breitbart item appeared that a woman who worked at the time as a low level assistant at Acton and Dystel, then Obama’s agent (and is now the Goederich who is Dystel’s partner) was now taking full responsibility for making an “error.”
As someone who has run a number of top bestseller publishers, I think this is an amazing MIRACLE.

Obama's 1991 Literary Agent Published A Bio Stating He Was 'Born In Kenya And Raised In Indonesia And Hawaii'

The Vetting - Exclusive - Obama's Literary Agent in 1991 Booklet: 'Born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii'
By Joel B. Pollak
Breitbart.com
May 17, 2012

Note from Senior Management:

Andrew Breitbart was never a "Birther," and Breitbart News is a site that has never advocated the narrative of "Birtherism." In fact, Andrew believed, as we do, that President Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on August 4, 1961.

Yet Andrew also believed that the complicit mainstream media had refused to examine President Obama's ideological past, or the carefully crafted persona he and his advisers had constructed for him.
It is for that reason that we launched "The Vetting," an ongoing series in which we explore the ideological background of President Obama (and other presidential candidates)--not to re-litigate 2008, but because ideas and actions have consequences.

It is also in that spirit that we discovered, and now present, the booklet described below--one that includes a marketing pitch for a forthcoming book by a then-young, otherwise unknown former president of the Harvard Law Review.

It is evidence--not of the President's foreign origin, but that Barack Obama's public persona has perhaps been presented differently at different times.

AGU: Grizzly Volunteers for @DebFischer2012 and @TedCruz

Posted on 11:56 AM by Unknown

As we maneuver through the unconventional 2012 election cycle we need to ignore the shiny objects (meant to distract us from Obama's failed socialist policies) and keep our eye on the prize.

We need to stay focused.

The tone has been set for the primary season and now we have a lot of work to do.

We must retain the House, and seize the Senate to ensure that our new President has a congress of common sense, Constitutional, conservatives to help put America back on the right track.

Big Government Republicans who share a basic contempt for the American people have got to go. Crony Capitalism has got to go. Big Government Republicans who campaign as fiscal conservatives but then jump into the DC hot tub of connections, government bailouts, handouts and waste, have got to go.

The American Grizzlies United 2012 Primary Candidate List is bursting with conservative reformers from every level of government.

This week Governor Sarah Palin endorsed two candidates for the United States Senate that need your help to win their primary battles.

Deb Fischer is running for the Nebraska United States Senate seat.

Our American Grizzlies United Texas State Coordinator Cynthia Dixon has been working hard in the Lone Star State. Cynthia has done amazing work recommending, vetting, and putting together a ground team to support the AGU-TX candidates. AGU-TX candidates go all the way from County Sheriff, to the US Senate, with a lay over in the Texas State Assembly; Down Ticket is the way to go!

Last week your hard work helped deliver a wake-up sucker punch to the GOPe in Indiana.

Let's do it again!

If you've had enough of the Big Government Republicans and the Obama Liberals hollow utopian rhetoric and crushing policies, then now is the time to answer the call.

Let's restore America! Our work continues...

A Black Guy at the Dallas, TX Tea Party Rally

Posted on 5:33 AM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

A big well dressed black guy attended the Dallas, TX tea party rally with his white buddy. Both men missed my singing performance on stage minutes earlier. I asked the black gentleman who had an impressive physique how often he worked out. He replied, “Everyday.” His white buddy said with a chuckle, “He thinks the Tea Party is racist.”

I went into explaining to the black man that these people could not care less about Obama's skin-color. They, along with me, disapprove of what Obama is doing – his policies. I gave a brief laundry list of things Obama is doing which go against what I believe to be right as an American and a Christian. The black gentleman silently listened. I gave him my business card and encouraged him to visit my website.

But folks, I must be honest. I felt annoyed. This black man came to the rally with his white friend. They were surrounded by people waving American flags, laughing, smiling and cheering in response to various inspiring statements from the speaker on stage, Mr. Rafael Cruz whose son Ted Cruz is running for U.S. Senate.  The senior Mr Cruz legally immigrated to America in his youth. He spoke of all the wonderful freedom, liberty and opportunity he found in America. There was not the slightest hint of hate in the air; only a cool refreshing breeze of love in the air for America, the greatest land of opportunity on the planet.

I thought, what gives this black guy the right to stand in the midst of this crowd of patriots and call them racists? Why was the burden on us to convince a black racist, this was not a racist gathering? Granted, he and I were the only blacks in attendance at the rally. But again, why was that the fault of the Tea Party? I wanted to say, “Dude, can't you see you're the one being racist?”

Despite feeling annoyed, I nurtured the black man. I explained that I subscribe to a higher standard which would never allow me to support a candidate solely because we shared the same skin color. I asked, “Don't you see how wrong that would be?” He did not respond, but simply looked at me as if I were insane. It was as if I was speaking a foreign language he did not understand or offering an incomprehensible bizarre concept.

I continued observing the rally from inside the Tea Party Express tour bus which was parked behind the stage serving as a backdrop. And there he was, the muscular tall well dressed black man who stood out in the white and Hispanic crowd. He stayed until the end – our grand finale military tribute.

AGU: @Cher is Closed Minded and Intolerant (#Bigoted)...

Posted on 1:32 PM by Unknown

For decades (and decades) the waning entertainer Cher has lectured America on how closed minded and intolerant conservatives are. Today Ms. Cher has taken to Twitter and exposed how truly closed minded, intolerant, and bigoted she is herself when it comes to the beliefs and opinions of others.

Ms. Cher is not only stubbornly unreceptive to new ideas, but she also has a problem with hypocrisy.

It is well documented that during the 90's when her daughter Chastity Bono publicly came out as a lesbian, Ms. Cher was quite uncomfortable with the news at first, and "went ballistic" (Bono, Chaz (as Chastity); Fitzpatrick, Billy (1998). Family Outing. New York: Little, Brown. p. 207)

The closed minded and intolerant Ms. Cher told her lesbian daughter that she dressed like a truck driver, and a slob and even kicked her teenage daughter out of the house.

NOTE: Watch Chastity Bono (now Chaz Bono tell Joy Behar that Cher kicked her out of the house for being a lesbian)

When Chastity Bono was faced with a sensitive life decision (to undergo sex reassignment surgery) her Mother's 100% unconditional love and support could have helped. One would think that the first impulse of a woman who has been lecturing Americans on tolerance for years would be acceptance.

It was not.

Ironically, the one person who did remain accepting, tolerant, and open minded through the years was Chaz's Step-Mother; Republican Congresswoman (CA-45) Mary Bono Mack.

It should be noted that Ms. Cher and Chaz have reconciled their differences.

However, it should also be noted that Ms. Cher herself has a history of the same homophobia she accuses and lectures Americans about.

Obama supporting Hollywood know-it-alls will continue to attack honest, hard working Americans with baseless hate-filled rhetoric.

We will continue to fight back.

America is tired of those who have bankrupted our country and placed the (non) issues of the small minority over the will of the majority.

We outnumber them (2-1). We can surround them.

Our work continues...

AGU: Sucker Punch the #GOPe; Elect @RichardMourdock

Posted on 2:11 PM by Unknown

This Tuesday May 8, 2012 you have an opportunity to sucker punch both the GOPe and the media elites of the LSM.

Now is your chance to grab the bull by its horns.

For weeks now the LSM have gleefully concluded that independent Tea Party Americans have lost their steam, and will not carry any weight in this election cycle.

Once again, they have no idea what they are talking about.

Obama's favorite Republican (Senator Dick Lugar) was sitting pretty for re election until last week when out of the blue Governor Sarah Palin endorsed Richard Mourdock for the Indiana Senate Seat.

Within minutes the American Grizzlies United (AGU) Board of Directors decided to follow the Governors lead and throw our support behind Richard Mourdock as well.

The Sarah Palin endorsement came at 2:51pm EST on Friday April 27th. By 6:36pm EST word came that the American Action Network (which some have called the establishment cavalry) withdrew their support from the Indiana GOP Senate race.

They had previously promised Obama's favorite Republican $590,000 for his primary re election campaign.

So what happened in those four hours?

You happened.

You matter.

Deep down the GOPe fears you.

In a desperate and shameless attempt to sustain (and advance) crony capitalism the GOPe spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on focus groups, recycled consultants, and political experts.

But they are no match for you.

You have the power within you to take on the GOPe and win.

But, there is still a lot of hard work to do between now and tuesday to bring victory to Richard Mourdock (and sucker punch the GOPe and LSM).

Learn more about Richard Mourdock: http://www.richardmourdock.com/

Donate to Richard: Contribute

Volunteer for Richard: Get Involved

Our American Grizzlies United Indiana State Coordinator Morgan Rigg needs your help in defeating the GOPe. Morgan needs your help to send a true conservative to the United States Senate, and remind the know-it-alls in the LSM that you have the power within you to elect a candidate who shares your vision for America.

To help Morgan send an email to: indiana@organize4palin.com

You don't have to live in Indiana to let your voice be heard.

Does your cell phone plan have free minutes? You can make sure your voice is heard by making some phone calls the next four days on behalf on Richard Mourdock.

Or perhaps after you GET YOUR #GRRR ON you may find yourself Going Rogue and organizing a Twitter Storm using this link: http://bit.ly/odsvDp and the hashtags: #RedIN, #INSen (and of course #GRRR).

We all have constructive roles in the restoration of America.

Our victories in 2010 slowed down the Obama liberals, but it has not stopped them. Together we can stop the Obama agenda and make government respect the will and the wisdom of the American people.

Our work continues...

The Battle of Athens, Tennessee - 1946

Posted on 8:42 AM by Unknown

James Madison stated, in reasoning and defense of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States …
The advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation … forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit to.

In addition, the Second Amendment provides a means, a right, to protect one's self, family, property, and fellow citizens against violent criminal activity when law enforcement is either not available or cannot reach the scene in time. The Second Amendment was and is intended to be exercised by all lawful citizens of the United States in every state of the Union; for all states that are part of the Union have ratified and agreed to abide by the Constitution of the United States and can only add to its articles and amendments and not change it without the proper mechanics provided in the Constitution regarding rescinding, repealing, or changing any articles or amendments to that important national document.
Mark Alexanderat The Patriot Post, of which I supported and admired since its establishment (formerly the Federal Post) back in 1999 when I ventured to produce an Internet publishing venture in the form of a newsletter that later became a “blog” that is so popular and useful today; wrote a Case Study in Grassroots Restoration of the Rule of Lawentitled The Battle of Athens (Tennessee).
Mark Alexander, a direct descendent of Tennessee Patriots that were veterans of every major conflict in defense of American Liberty beginning in the American Revolution wrote about an incident that occurred in the “Volunteer State” that resides along stories of the Patriot sons and daughters of Tennessee like Andrew Jackson, Davy Crockett, Sam Houston, and Sam Davis as well as Alvin York who have gone down in history as heroes with honor and courage. The story is little known outside the state of Tennessee, so I will join Mark Alexander in relating this story and providing excerpts form one of his essays to provide incentive for modern Americans to take action by responsible voting. I suggest that you go to the link provided above and read the history of it entirely. You will also see a rare photo at the link of the veterans who stood against corruption of their homelandwhile they were away fighting for freedom of the world in the 1940s. They won and restored the Rule of Law.
This story affected me because I remember when I mustered out of the US Army after serving off-and-on for fourteen years how much the citizens in the private sector had given up to those operating our government in terms of rights and liberty for false and impossible promises of what Big Government can provide. As Mark Alexander wrote:
Given the rigorous efforts by the current regime of Socialist Democrats occupying the Executive and Legislative branches of our federal government, revisiting the Battle of Athens provides a timely lesson in Patriot devotion to Liberty. Democrats today have nationalized the corruption of the electoral process by both overt efforts (blocking measures such as Voter ID, and endorsing voter intimidation at polls) and much more insidious covert measures (increasing the rolls of voting village idiots who are dependent on wealth redistribution for their livelihood -- those who vote for their living rather than work for it).
Of course my experience was not as dramatic as those vets returning home to McMinn County, but the gist of the theme applies. In today's case, we merely need to educate ourselves as to what the Constitution and its amendments mean and how they are to be applied, and ensure that we exercise our right to vote – which is also a means of arming the community against corruption and those who disregard and promote the mindset that the Constitution of the United States is a “living document” that can be changed to whatever political policy is at hand by whoever is in office. This, of course, would not be possible, and Barack H. Obama(alias Barry Soetoro) would have already received a legal impeachment hearing and possibly a trial if the legislative body called Congress wasn't corrupt in itself.
But I digress …
In 1945, more than 3,000 battle-hardened vets returned home to McMinn County and found it brimming with political corruption. The GIs, who had fought for Liberty in the European and Pacific theaters, were not going to surrender it to corrupt politicians on their own soil. A spokesman for these Patriots proclaimed, "The principles that we fought for in this past war do not exist in McMinn County." Despite numerous complaints about the corruption since 1940, the U.S. Department of Justice, under the control of Franklin Roosevelt, ignored citizens' charges of election fraud and did not respond. …
By 1946, some veterans were determined to challenge the Cantrell/Mansfield corruption machine, and they qualified for several posts on the upcoming election ballot. One of these men was Knox Henry, the GI candidate for sheriff of McMinn County. Endeavoring to ensure honest elections, a month ahead of the primaries they petitioned the FBI to send election monitors. As with previous requests for help to restore Rule of Law, their requests were ignored.
On Election Day, 1 August 1946, Mansfield imported some 200 strong-armed "deputies" to ensure the election would go his way. Mansfield's men ejected the veterans from polling sites, and in one instance a deputy pointed his gun at them as they attempted to re-enter a poll and shouted, "If you sons of bitches cross this street I'll kill you!" Mansfield arrested one GI poll watcher, Walter Ellis, who insisted on monitoring polling in the courthouse. One black voter, Tom Gillespie, was shot after a confrontation with a Mansfield deputy who denied him the right to vote.
While not as dramatic as just described, this reminds me that in the 2008 presidential election year there were Black Panthers standing outside of voting poll places intimidating voters entering the building; in addition, there was one case where a young female American voter was beaten for not supporting Barack H. Obamaand a college student uncovered election fraud in Indiana that was rampant across the United States.
These incidences did not deter Americans from considering just what entities and powers were behind a little-known community organizer who had a brief stint in Congress and who suddenly is propelled into a national campaign for presidency with “Hope and Change” signs everywhere. The real question today is: Has Americans learned their lesson in choosing candidates? According to the corrupt and bias media, no. But what about real America? The place that the mainstream media ignores. Barack Obama rhetoric preaching a "united" America falls short of his actions and speeches after becoming president, most recently his speech concerning the death of Trayvon Martin. Soon after his speech, the Black Panther organization put a bounty on the head of the alleged murderer, George Zimmerman.
Alexander continues …
The veterans weren't about to let the 1946 election cycle fall to the same corruption that had undermined the previous three elections. In the early evening, a group of vets who had been ejected as poll watchers mustered up some fellow vets. Being short of arms and ammunition sufficient to challenge Mansfield's crew and retrieve the ballot boxes, these men "borrowed" keys to the local National and State Guard armories and requisitioned three M-1 rifles, five Colt .45 pistols and 24 British Enfield rifles. The vets then went to the jail, where they offered the deputies safe exit if they would turn over the ballot boxes. The deputies declined and shot two of the vets. The GIs returned fire in a pitched gunfight that would continue into the early morning hours of 2 August, when a number of vets from neighboring Meigs County improvised explosive devices (baled dynamite sticks) onto the jail's porch in order to soften up the resolve of the occupants. Shortly thereafter, the deputies did surrender and the GIs secured the building and ballots. (Cantrell and Mansfield, cowards that they were, had abandoned their deputies and fled into the dark early in the battle.)
The political party, democrat socialists, Democrat Party of the US, consistently complains about “fairness”; yet their party has more incidents of unlawful activities concerning voting fraud than the Republican Party or that of independent or third parties.
Part of the reformation of our government should include election reforms.
In conclusion …
The non-partisan veterans delivered this message to the radio announcer at WLAR: "The GI election officials went to the polls unarmed to have a fair election, as Pat Mansfield promised. They were met with blackjacks and pistols. Several GI officials were beaten and the ballot boxes were moved to the jail. The GI supporters went to the jail to get these ballot boxes and were met by gunfire. The GI candidates had promised that the votes would be counted as cast. They had no choice but to meet fire with fire. In the precincts where the GI candidates were allowed watchers they led by three to one majorities." The following morning, the armory weapons were cleaned and returned, and the ballot boxes were turned over for a legitimate count.
In the final count the GI candidate, Knox Henry, was elected sheriff of McMinn County, and three other vets filled key county positions. In order to thwart future corruption, the town of Athens formed a new police force. In addition, elected county officials agreed to a $5,000 pay limit. In the decade that followed, the McMinn County reforms were adopted in many other counties across the state.

… Historian Dan Daley wrote, "It was a violent but decisive clash of two social and political cultures, between the past and the future of rural, state, and ultimately the federal government, and a reconfirmation of the deeply ingrained ideal that Americans can assert themselves against tyranny, even when it was taking place in their own backyard." …
First and foremost, this incident, like so many before and since, affirms why our Founders codified in the Second Amendment the unalienable right of the people to "keep and bear arms." As Justice Joseph Story (appointed to the Supreme Court by our Constitution's author, James Madison) wrote, "The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them." History records the appalling 20th-century consequences of disarming the people.
The second lesson is that those of us who have pledged by sacred oath to "support and defend" the Liberty enshrined in our Constitution against "enemies foreign," must be equally devoted to the defense of Liberty against insult by "enemies domestic."
Today, Americans can clean up the corruption and political establishment by becoming knowledgeable of constitutional and state election laws and ensuring that they are enforced and acknowledged. An American citizen who is armed with knowledge and ignores the propaganda on campaign TV ads and the mainstream media bias can improve and reform our government through honest and sincere candidates by voting for those who address the issues, not by the present ideology of politics, but by the standards and precedence set forth by the Constitution of the United States.
By all means, vote, it is your constitutional right – but do so with a sense of wisdom, armed with knowledge; which can be more powerful and prevent the need to stand against corruption as the veterans of Tennessee were forced to do after returning home from a long war.
As Mark Alexanderaptly puts it:
One certainly hopes we can defeat the socialist corruption undermining our Constitution nationally, with ballots, not bullets, but one way or the other, the next American Revolution is just over the horizon.
Save our republic by insisting that media report honest, fair and objective news and leave their opinions for the commentaries in the columnist section. Freedom of Speech does not give anyone the right to not tell the whole story, suppress truth, or only provide information that they want Americans to know.

Wisconsin Recall: America is Watching

Posted on 5:53 PM by Unknown
It must be known to readers by now the request for recall of Governor Scott Walker, Wisconsin has passed the required votes and a recall election is scheduled for June 5th, 2012. The recall is based upon the views and complaints of union members that work for the Wisconsin state government, to include the teachers' union. It is the public employee and teachers' union that has been instrumental in escalating the matter this far, and is now under national scrutiny, because, if Governor Walker IS recalled, it will show the strength and force that unions have over labor in the private sector as well as the government employment sector. This boils down to the constitutionality of government employees being allowed to have private sector-controlled union entities that meld special interest into the mechanics of government operation and drain the treasuries of government paid for By the People.

As Peter Ferrara wrote at TownHall:
Our Founding Fathers carefully eliminated in American law every special legal privilege of the old aristocracies of Europe. They strongly favored instead equality under the law, later enshrined in the Constitution's Equal Protection Clause, which means not equality of result, but that everyone plays by the same rules. A recall election for Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is scheduled for June 5. But on the ballot that day will effectively be whether we should establish in law after all these years a new aristocracy in America, not subject to the democratic will of the people like everyone else, with special legal privileges, including the right to plunder the taxpayers with virtual impunity. That new aristocracy is state and local government public employee unions. Nationwide, these public employee unions plunder taxpayers for pay for state and local government workers that is on average 45% more than the taxpayers paying those salaries make in the private sector. The bill to taxpayers for each of these workers includes an average hourly wage of $26.25, plus another $13.56 in hourly costs for benefits, for total hourly costs of $39.81, or $80,000 per year on average. …the Manhattan Institute's E.J. McMahon reports that for public school teachers in Milwaukee, the annual cost of family health coverage is $26,844, for which the teachers were paying nothing. State and local government workers today are not exploited in sweat shop conditions for poverty wages as the workers in union lore of old. Today it is taxpayers who are the ones being exploited. Governor Walker offended the public employee union gods now seeking his recall with his state budget reforms enacted early last year. … Walker, based on his experience serving as County Executive for Milwaukee County for 8 years, and in the state legislature for 8 years before that, focused on cutting the growth in state and local government spending instead. That spending restraint included requiring state and local government workers to contribute to their own benefits more like private sector workers. After all the yelling and screaming in Wisconsin, in the end these workers were only required to contribute 5.8% of their salaries towards their pensions, matched by their government employers (taxpayers), and 12.6% of the costs of their health insurance, with the other 87% paid by taxpayers. This compares to private sector workers paying on average 21% of the cost of their company health insurance, with most private sector workers having no pension. The budget reforms also limited collective bargaining to negotiations over salary, but not over benefits or working conditions and rules. This gave counties, cities, and school boards the flexibility to make management changes to reduce costs, without laying off workers and reducing services to the public, and to increase efficiency in serving the public.
The key point in this excellent analysis by Mr. Ferrara is that, as I have advocated all along, that government employees are not the elite of society that they should receive far higher wages than the average compared career field (and that especially includes federal government) and receive benefits without paying a portion of it – like the private sector. This IS Big Government, and that is what constitutional Americans and those advocating the “Tea Party” movement is all about. Therefore, this is not just a crisis that concerns the state of Wisconsin, but instead it is a preview of what could happen all across America – the further strengthening of unions who have infiltrated and taken control of public employment at the expense of taxpayers.
Governor Walker is only implementing what he said he would do when he campaigned for the governorship. Now that it affects those that have sucked up taxpayer funding and kept an attitude of “better than the private sector” – they are not happy, and neither is the power-grabbing unions.
We have seen what unions can do with the right politicians working for them – look at the auto industry bailout and the literal takeover of General Motors by the federal government and United Autoworkers Union. As for results of what Governor Walker has accomplished:
Walker's collective bargaining reforms have added up to over $1 billion in documented savings for state and local governments in Wisconsin in the first year alone. That enabled the entire state deficit to be eliminated without yet another tax increase, and without layoffs of teachers and other government workers, except in three school districts that have continued to resist implementing the reforms. The reforms have also resulted in the smallest property tax increase in 15 years, and the first decline in local school tax assessments in 6 years. In short, Walker's reforms are working. The right of collective bargaining for private sector workers is not at issue in Wisconsin, though President Obama and the Democrats want to confuse the public on precisely that question. Under current law, there are plenty of market and legal checks on private sector unions to keep them from abusing the public. The ultimate limit if they push too far is that their company will be driven out of business. Though that does happen sometimes, that is only when management fails to do its job in resisting excessive union demands. Otherwise, within current market and legal checks, private sector unions actually perform a helpful market function in ensuring that employers keep up with market wages and working conditions as expeditiously as possible. Not so for government unions, which are two words that together spell oppression. Federal, state or even local governments cannot be driven out of business. They gain their revenue forcibly through taxes. As a result, there is no market limit to how much such unions can pirate from the public. … Government employees work for democratically elected officials representing the will of the people, not greedy miscreants exploiting them for personal profit. This is another reason why there is no legitimate role for government unions, and there should be no collective bargaining rights for government bureaucrats. The democratically elected Congress or state legislature cannot sit down and bargain with government employee unions as equals. Government employees are subject to the democratically expressed will of the people like everyone else. They are not and should not be treated like aristocrats with special legal privileges, exempt from democratic governance. If government workers feel their pay and working conditions are inadequate or oppressive, they can join the democratic process to elect new representatives like everyone else. Private sector workers, by contrast, cannot elect new employers.

Such fundamental, unworkable problems with government unions used to be commonly understood, which is why even an ultimate liberal like Franklin Roosevelt would not recognize such unions. And that is why strikes by government workers have been commonly prohibited in American history as well. … These are the reasons that federal employees have no legally recognized collective bargaining rights at all. Governor Walker's reforms would still provide for more collective bargaining for Wisconsin government workers than allowed those so badly oppressed federal workers, whose wages are set by an act of Congress rather than by collective bargaining. … The June 5 Walker recall vote in Wisconsin represents a critical turning point for the entire nation. If the public employee unions prevail in recalling Walker because he dared to challenge their legal privileges and political power, these unions will be entrenched nationwide as the new American aristocracy, which the common serfs are doomed to serve and pay. … Walker faces the might of the national public employee union machine, as well as the national Obama political machine, which sees the public employee unions as the core of its political base. If the American Dream is to remain available to working people, and not just bureaucrat aristocrats, then Scott Walker must survive the recall, and his reforms must remain intact. That means patriots across America must respond to this Paul Revere moment with maximum possible support for the Walker campaign, which can be found on the Internet. Or what was won at Lexington and Concord 237 years ago will be lost in Madison this year.
For Wisconsin voters: This is an important time to show up at the voting polls and decide whether you want unions to control government or We the People. That is the gist of this argument that escalated into a recall election that will cost taxpayer funding as well as their future prosperity. Those selfish government employees and their parasitic unions need to realize and be thankful they have jobs while those in the private sector are beating the streets and checking their newspapers for a chance to be employed. When one looks at the average wage of compared positions within those government jobs, you wonder what the devil they are complaining about. Mr. Ferrara is correct – a new aristocracy has shown its ugly head, and wasn't that part of the reason why we rebelled against a government across the seas in the 18thcentury?
FDR, Democrat demagogue counterpart to Republican Ronald Reagan, supported unions, but knew full well that unions did not belong in government. Unions have slowly infiltrated its power into government thanks to naive or corrupt politicians.
Vote to keep Scott Walker as governor. He shouldn't be recalled for doing what was expected, correcting the plunder of the state government of Wisconsin by the previous governor and his sociocrat buddies in the state legislature. Where was a cry for recall when Governor Jim Doyle raised taxes each time he started a term, after saying he wouldn't, and in the first month of his second tenure, passed the highest tax increase in the history of Wisconsin - $1 billion. The state fees were raised 38% during a time when Wisconsinites, like other Americans, were trying to make ends meet with an economy pushing towards a national/global depression.
Vote on June 5thto retain Governor Scott Walker to continue his policy of reducing Big Government and the cost of keeping it.
By the way, Milwaukee is the 4thpoorest city in America.
Isn't it time to fix that?
Letting unions and the government employee elite having their way will not change that reality. They say they are for the "little guy" but in reality they use the them for their own agenda.
The nation is watching what we do on June 5th– give in to the unions and selfish public employees or not; and it is significant in the sense that it will be a precedence of future elected officials who actually work at reducing government spending and making life better for We the People.
Wisconsin voters have the right to ask for a recall, assuming it is justified – it is a good process; however, those trying to recall Governor Walker are just the union's and progressive's “useful idiots”. It is the same reason why there is not enough Americans yelling about the income tax system – there are too many not paying their fair share of taxes, relying upon others to foot the bill. And the tax rate can be reduced, thereby improving economy, if those in government wouldn't spend the people's money like drunken sailors. Politicians know that by making Americans dependent upon their programs, they have control. Too many want to keep that control. This is, in effect, what is happening in Wisconsin and the recall movement.
Unions have outlived its usefulness, and indeed has become a parasite that is devouring individual freedom of choice as well as its parasitic operations that has led to economic ruin. There isn't a week that goes by that some union official isn't caught performing unlawful acts. It is and has been a corrupt mechanism that once aided workers into a working life of better conditions and who was originated by socialist and communist organizations and then taken over by elements of the crime syndicate who found a legal means to racketeer and plunder the American economy. In reality, public employees have wages and benefits that those in the private sector would be pleased to have, yet the public employees are always asking for more utilizing the union tactics of what is called collective bargaining. Indeed, the word "collective" versus "individual" is the key word that identifies its socialist/communist origins. It began as a means for the common folk to bargain with the aristocracy and today that bargaining chip has become the aristocracy that the original union concept fought against. A worker has no choice in matters of strikes or even belonging to the union itself through peer pressure and plain, ugly union thug tactics. This must stop in the private sector and unions should not be allowed in the government employee sector, with their wages and benefits directed by the Congress of the United States whose constitutional powers are granted in the Constitution of the United States. Just as the Federal Reserve System should be removed from its seat in power, so must go the unions that feed off taxpayer funding.
The horror to think that government employees must pay into their own health care programs! It is high time that they face reality with the rest of the population. Teachers are an important aspect of a civilized nation -- important in its growth and education of youth that will be future leaders, inventors, et cetera; however, they are well compensated in earnings, the basic average of entry level being $40,000 for nine months of work, not twelve; as well as receiving benefits that other citizens would relish. It is because of unions that education (one reason) has been increasingly unaffordable; as well as not getting the quality education expected of that much funding paid by We the People.
In another article, I am going to address the long-needed reformation of the American educational system, where reform means that the American people get what they pay for and what they put into the system and at the same time acknowledging the importance of productive teachers that are mentors, that create good students who make productive and educated citizens.
It is important to note: Governor Walker stood by principles of lowering cost of Wisconsin government WITHOUT raising taxes or lay-off of government employees. Those complaining are doing so because they now have to pay into their health care and retirement system like other people do in the private sector -- all instigated by the powerful and corrupt unions.
Unions have bankrupted industry in Wisconsin (and other states), ruined educational system across America, where the student isn't the priority any longer, and corrupted the political system by funneling vast amount of funding to secure political control.
Stand up and be counted -- vote to keep Governor Walker on June 5th.
Milwaukee (4thPoorest City in America) – Journal Sentinel complains about unemployment, created long before Walker took office: Wisconsin Missing Out on U.S. Jobs Gains (forgetting that it is easier to prevent a crisis than fixing it, which the latter takes longer.)
Vote against Big Government – choose Scott Walker on June 5th. (Did you know that CEOs of unions against Walker make twice (or more) as much as the Governor of Wisconsin is paid?)
