If Obamacare Is Ok, Let's Require Every Household To Buy A Gun

A Modest Proposal
By Ed Morrissey

June 29, 2012

Now that the Roberts Court has affirmed that the government has the power to mandate purchases of private goods and services as long as it’s structured as a tax, I propose that we put this new-found authority in the service of an explicit Constitutional right.  For far too long, too many Americans have suffered from an inequal distribution of firearms, despite the Second Amendment’s express exhortation to “keep and bear arms,” in large part because income inequality in this nation has kept the poor and working classes from having the proper protection for themselves and their loved ones.  We need to end this disparity now by applying the ObamaCare model immediately.

First, the government needs to issue a mandate that all households must own at least one firearm. We will need a federal agency to ensure that people aren’t just buying cheap BB guns or .22 pistols, even though that may be all they need or want.  It has to be 9mm or above, with .44 magnums getting a one-time tax credit on their own.  Let’s pick an agency known for its aptitude on firearms and home protection to issue required annual certifications each year, without which the government will have to levy hefty fines.  Which agency would do the best job?  Hmmmm … I know!  How about TSA?  With their track record of excellence, we should have no problems implementing this mandate.

Supreme Court: What Constitutional Article Put Govt in Charge of My Health Care?

Posted on 6:21 AM by Unknown

As I am sure you have read or heard by now – the Supreme Court ruling on the so-called constitutionality of ObamaCare. The mandate, which was the biggest argument has been upheld by the high court as a “tax”. Well, Jisya upholds that all non-Muslims be charged a surtax unless they convert. So because it is a tax, this makes it right?
My main question to the Supreme Court that I have also asked of those who have pushed to pass this:

Where, what article or amendment, in the Constitution of the United States does it require the US government, federal, to issue mandates, create legislation, or control people's medical care?
One of the major reasons why health care is so expensive is because of government regulations that favor insurance companies, who spend millions a year in lobbying to ensure the cards are stacked in their favor. The other main reason is fraud and mismanagement of our health care system.
Economists have directed people to look at government health care systems in other nations, clearly showing that it is not good for the economy or for those seeking serious healthcare issues.
Many nations are learning from this failure, one of them is Sweden.
Government financed social programs and medical care requires a high tax. This ObamaCare, when it kicks in in 2014 will not only demand that everyone gets healthcare whether one can afford the extremely expensive premiums or not, but also includes a 1% federal tax described as a penalty.
Where does it state in the Constitution of the United States that taxes are to be imposed to punish citizens of the United States?
Sweden still has a progressive tax rate, the most oppressive in the industrialized world with the top rate being 56.6% of income. France and Denmark are suffering from the burden of big government financing. Denmark has nationwide school choice and a system that has partially privatized Social Security.
Sweden, according to Daniel Mitchell is rejecting Keyneiasnism, lowering tax rates, and reducing the burden of the public sector.
In a Bloombergcolumn:
Not so long ago, Sweden could claim world leadership in unmitigated Keynesian economics, with a 90 percent marginal tax rate and a welfare state second to none. …but in the last two decades the country has been reformed. Public spending has fallen by no less than one-fifth of gross domestic product, taxes have dropped and markets have opened up. …no turnabout has been as dramatic as Sweden’s. From 1970 until 1989, taxes rose exorbitantly, killing private initiative, while entitlements became excessive. Laws were often altered and became unpredictable. As a consequence, Sweden endured two decades of low growth. In 1991-93, the country suffered a severe crash in real estate and banking that reduced GDP by 6 percent. Public spending had surged to 71.7 percent of GDP in 1993, and the budget deficit reached 11 percent of GDP. …Sweden’s traditional scourge is taxes, which used to be the highest in the world. The current government has cut them every year and abolished wealth taxes. Inheritance and gift taxes are also gone. Until 1990, the maximum marginal income tax rate was 90 percent. Today, it is 56.5 percent. That is still one of the world’s highest, after Belgium’s 59.4 and there is strong public support for a cut to 50 percent. The 26 percent tax on corporate profits may seem reasonable from an American perspective, but Swedish business leaders want to reduce it to 20 percent.
Sweden, like Canada, is a nation that has been misguided by the promises of socialism, despite history showing clear results that it bankrupts any nation that adopts it – and is now moving in the opposite direction to correct those mistakes.
When will Americans finally get it? After the US dollar becomes only worth 25-cents? When the country goes into a financial collapse?
Why are people voting for those that promote this stuff – clearly against constitutional law, above and beyond the limitation of federal government?
Why do we have Supreme Court justices that rule against the Constitution? They are required to interpret and settle arguments – not create their own brand of legislation from the judiciary bench, siding with their choice of political ideology.
If you want to see the future of American healthcare system, now that the Supreme Court has ignored the articles of the Constitution, check out the article concerning Sweden's government-run healthcare system.
If Mitt Romney doesn't win or have the spine or cannot get support in Democrat-controlled Congress – this fiasco will never be overturned before it is implemented at a cost of $2.7 trillion. And the political left wanted to burn GW Bush at the stake for spending $161 billion in his last year in office for defense spending.
Obama's administration spent $903.2 billion in FY 2011 with healthcare at $882 billion compared to $248 billion spent in FY 2011.
If Sweden adopts a flat tax system, they will have progressed much farther than the United States to get a handle on government spending.
The US government continues to spend more because it has the mentality that it can just continue its tax increase binge and/or creating new taxes on something else – like the lie that overtaxed products like alcohol and tobacco helps defray medical costs that government pays for those products being consumed. And as a method of social engineering. The same situation is heading toward low mileage vehicles and “fast food” (or any food that the government deems unfit).
Americans have allowed a monster to not only exist in America, but continue to grow at an alarming rate. That monster is the federal government who clearly is and has ignored or openly defied the Constitution of the United States since the days of Woodrow Wilson.
And guess who will be in charge of the new healthcare penalty tax?
If you guessed the American gestapo called the IRS, you are correct.
People have paid into the Medicare system all their lives in order to use it at the age of 65; but the government has screwed up that system as well. Yet people are going to trust government to be in charge of their total healthcare?
It boggles my mind.
Since the Supreme Court upheld the mandate tax, but it can be defeated if true constitutionalists take back the executive and legislative branch. Congress needs to choose their Supreme Court Justices more carefully – pinpointing upon being mindful of constitutional law, not consensus law, or foreign laws. Congress needs to be cleaned out in 2012.
Wall Street Journal describes what this means to consumers.
The media describes the Supreme Court ruling as “surprising” – but looking at the stacked bench of justices, it shouldn't have been a surprise at all.
Although Justice Roberts decision was surprising – caving in to the other justices for reasons he only knows.
Again – show me where in the Constitution where the government is required to distribute wealth, control our health care, or take away our property rights?
Where in the Constitution does it authorize taxes to be used as penalties and punishment – anything but a means to generate revenue to cover government cost?
History seems to be boring to many Americans, yet, if our leadership paid more attention to history they wouldn't keep making the same mistakes over and over until even more numerous and different mistakes are made. And that goes for the American voter as well. You cannot expect government to improve if you continue to vote for the same people that got us into this mess in the first place.
Stop listening to politicians who promise free stuff – nothing is free – someone ends up paying for it, and eventually all of us.
Here's a final thought: Maybe more Americans would be able to afford health insurance if:
  • They didn't have to pay for other American's benefits over the overall social programs.
  •  Government legislation didn't side with insurance companies and make everything else expensive with their control-freak legislation.
  • Medical care facilities wouldn't overcharge or pad the bills of patients.
 As Lloyd Marcus wrote:
If the Tea Party was dying, the Supreme Court upholding Obamacare is unquestionably the rebirth of the Tea Party.
For those 50% of American who pay taxes as Sarah Palin pointed out - it truly is time for a serious Tea Party and if Mitt Romney doesn't hold the constitutional line - make him accountable. This will be the biggest tax increase in world history. For those who pay taxes, and it doesn't count when you pay taxes forcefully through your payroll check and get most or all of it back at the beginning of next year. It just means you let the government hold YOUR earnings for one year with no interest paid (or late penalties) because that is the job of the infamous IRS.

Chief Justice Roberts Has Moved The Commerce Clause To The Liberals' Two-Yard Line

The Chief Justice Done Good
By Dov Fischer
AmericanThinker.com
June 29, 2012

Chief Justice John Roberts has handed a remarkable victory to American conservatives by threading the judicial needle with perfect precision.  The initial disappointment collectively felt by Americans who had hoped for a Supreme Court ruling that would overturn Obamacare soon will be replaced, upon further reflection, by the excitement that will come with a fuller appreciation of what the Chief Justice has wrought.
First, almost completely unnoticed, the Chief Justice voted with his four conservative colleagues in drawing an unprecedented red line against Washington wielding the Constitution's Commerce Clause in the future to justify federal intrusion into the personal lives of Americans.  This decision will restrict American Presidents and future Congresses for a generation and more.

Supreme Court Ruling: Rebirth of Tea Party

Posted on 1:12 PM by Unknown

June 28, 2012

Dear Patriots,

I am heartbroken, but fired-up more than ever! If the Tea Party was dying, the Supreme Court upholding Obamacare is unquestionably the rebirth of the Tea Party.

I briefly mourned the death of America as we know it. Upon stabilizing my emotions, I realized that as a Christian, I must trust God. I know some of you will want to slap me across the face for my optimism. Perhaps, the Supreme Court ruling is a blessing in disguise.

Had Obamacare been ruled unconstitutional, Obama's reelection team, which includes the mainstream media, would have launched a shock-and-awe campaign ranting – Four racist white guys and a black Uncle Tom took away your health care! The Supreme Court ruling has taken that evil low-rent scumbag way-of-thinking narrative away from the democrats.

I believe the Supreme Court ruling in favor of Obamacare will unify a majority of Americans to crawl over broken glass and walk across burning hot coals to vote for Mitt Romney. Obama getting a second term will mark the end of freedom and America as we know it.

Anyone who emails me saying they will not vote for Romney because he is not conservative enough, I will hunt you down and slap you! Just kidding, but you get my point.

Folks, we are about to lose our country. All foolishness, selfishness and pettiness must be cast aside.

We have been given an issue, repeal Obamacare, to rally voters to defeat Obama in a landslide. Let's roll!

Obamacare: We The People Will Issue Our Ruling In November!

Palin:  Rise Up Against Obamacare, The Largest Tax Hike In History
By Sarah Palin
Breitbart.com
June 28, 2012

Thank you, SCOTUS. This Obamacare ruling fires up the troops as America’s eyes are opened! Thank God.

This proves to be such an unsettling time in America as we undergo the fundamental transformation that Barack Obama promised he would do to us if elected. Obamacare was dealt in deception and confusion by flooding the public with an overwhelming amount of conflicting “rationale” via thousands of pages of unread legislative detail, which is the radical left’s M.O. Obama promised the American people this wasn’t a tax and that he’d never raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000. We now see that this is the largest tax increase in history. It will slam every business owner and every one of the 50% of Americans who currently pay their taxes. The other 50% are being deceived if they think they’re going to get a free ride – because Medicaid is broke. Recipients of Obama’s “free health care” will have fewer choices and less accessibility. Trust me – this much more expensive health care WILL be rationed; to claim otherwise defies all economic and common sense.

Obama is a Racist Powered By Hate

Powered by Hate: Racist Content from 'Dreams from My Father'
By William A. Levinson
AmericanThinker.com
June 28, 2012

Numerous urban legends circulated about the content of Barack Obama's Dreams from My Father during the 2008 election.  The concept of falsus in unum, falsus in omnibus (false in one thing, false in all) means that people who read enough proven lies about the book will then not believe the truth.  It is therefore important to circulate the truth as widely as possible, and with page numbers for easy verification.
The following quotes are from the paperback edition from Three Rivers Press (New York), ISBN 978-1-4000-8277-3.  The content is also verifiable from Google Books.  It is important to state up front, and reiterate later, that the racist content of Dreams from My Father is 100 percent consistent with Mr. Obama's open association with hate-mongers like Jeremiah Wright and Al Sharpton.
Pages 99-101 of the book are particularly informative because Barack Obama talks very explicitly of his racial identity politics.  He identifies very clearly as an African-American as opposed to a melting pot American, which makes him totally unqualified to be president for Americans of all races and ethnicities.  He begins by talking about "problems" with a classmate of multiracial (Caucasian, Native American, and African-American) ancestry, and then talks about showing one's loyalty to "the black masses."

Obama File: Supreme Court Decision Prompts Obama Admin Tantrum

Posted on 2:57 AM by Unknown

Well, it has hit the headlines – the Supreme Court upheld the Section 2(b) Arizona immigration law, Senate Bill 1070, and the ACLUhas promised to seek an injunction of section 2(b) based on the 4thand 14th amendment.
The Supreme Court wrote:
The United States has established that §§3, 5(C), and 6of S. B. 1070 are preempted. It was improper, however, to enjoin §2(B) before the state courts had an opportunity to construe it and without some showing that enforcement of the provision in fact conflicts with federal immigration law and its objectives. The judgment of the Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit is affirmed in part and reversed in part. The case is remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
Dissension was mixed in different parts of the case, the dissenting justices: Antonin Scalia, Clarence Thomas, and Samuel Alito.
Governor Jan Brewer conceded that the heart of the bill survived, despite the Phoenix Times stating:
Governor Jan Brewer is spinning this as a win …
The ACLU responded this morning:
The U.S. Supreme Court decision that upheld a key provision of Arizona's draconian anti-immigrant law will lead to racial profiling and discrimination, ACLU Executive Director Anthony D. Romero warned today. … "We are not done in Arizona and will continue the battle against discriminatory laws like these that encourage racial profiling and undermine the constitutional guarantee of equal protection," Romero said. "Be it in the courts or in state legislatures, we will aggressively take on these laws and blunt the effects of this miscarriage of justice. When local police can stop and detain anyone they perceive as 'foreign' because of their skin color, their accent or their surname, it is a watershed moment for civil rights." … In anticipation of the ruling, Romero announced the ACLU has amassed an $8.77 million "war chest" to aggressively battle any state's attempts to enact copycat legislation while also fighting the "corrosive effects" of existing anti-immigrant laws in Arizona and five other states.
Earlier this month, five bodies were found on the US side of the border in Arizona, allegedly victims of the drug cartel. Our border security and the security of people living in states along the border does not seem to concern the ACLU or the federal government – but the state of Arizona demands that if the feds don't do their job, they will do it for them. That is the gist of this whole legal argument.
And, the answer to all of this from the White House executive branch?
Yesterday the Obama administration announced:
… it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.
This was declared by the Obama administration via Homeland Security chief Janet Napolitano stated:
I am pleased that the U.S. Supreme Court confirmed that state laws cannot dictate the federal government's immigration enforcement policies or priorities. DHS remains focused on enhancing public safety and the integrity of our border by prioritizing enforcement resources on those who are in the country unlawfully and committing crimes, those who have repeatedly violated our immigration laws, and those who recently crossed our borders illegally. … Finally, it is important to note that today's Supreme Court decision will not impact the memorandum I issued on June 15th related to prosecutorial discretion eligibility for productive members of society who were brought to the United States as children.
Napolitano is referring to the “Dream Act” announced to the public in which President Obama bypassed congressional approval and declared that children of illegal immigrants will not be deported.
Nothing was mentioned of suspending 287(g) until later that day on June 25th.
Patriot Post image
This all focuses upon which I have feared for so long and I and others have warned Americans – the federal government has gone beyond its limitations and no longer recognizes state sovereignty of state governments. If a state is abiding by the articles and amendments of the Constitution, it must surely be in charge of its own law enforcement; and when the federal government doesn't enforce its own laws – what else can a state government do?
As the KTAR Newsroom put it in its article headline: Obama acting like a 'spoiled child'.
He didn't get his way. Indeed, whenever he didn't get his way he used every illegal method one could think of. Might I remind you that he used to teach constitutional law at university level! Which means his study of it was only to find ways to circumvent it, according to his tenure as President of the United States.
And the spineless Congress haven't even hinted about impeachment hearings – afraid of the democratic-socialist race card so often used.
Unity, Mr. President?
You promised it, as you made other promises – like “change” - but the change was not provided in detail. Shame on Americans for getting duped.
Read what Mexico had to say. How hypocritical, considering that Mexican immigration laws are draconian compared to the United States.
Even the Washington Times states that Mexico's laws are stiffer than ours. So why does Mexico act insulted over this Supreme Court decision?
"They just want a better life"
I can give one of the several reasons that stands out among the rest: Mexico receives billions of US dollars per year from illegal immigrants sending money back to family in Mexico - which stimulates their economy; while illegal immigrants ruin our economy.
Mexico has never been a true friend - they sided with, despite neutral status, Germany in both world wars, as one example. Also, Mexican government operated schools teach Mexican students that several states in the United States is actually Mexican real estate stolen from Mexico. It is in their school textbooks, so they cannot deny it.
So what has happened over the decades rising at a steady pace:
  • Illegal aliens come here with the attitude that they have a right to be here because United States stole their land.
  • Mexican drug cartels have moved operations into the United States in several major cities.
  • Americans cannot protest against illegal immigration without being called racist.
  • State law enforcement is rendered impotent because federal law enforcement will not cooperate, often not answering calls of illegal immigrant activity and presence; circumventing or just ignoring federal immigration laws legally passed by the Congress of the United States.
This is more than a constitutional crisis - it is an endangerment to national security and our sovereignty - and most importantly transgression against state rights.
Governor Jan Brewer says it best:
"As though we needed any more evidence, President Obama has demonstrated anew his utter disregard for the safety and security of the Arizona people. Within the last two hours, I have been notified the Obama administration has revoked the 287(g) agreement under the authority of which Arizona law enforcement officers have partnered with the federal government in the enforcement of immigration law.
"I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. The Obama administration has fought the people of Arizona at every turn - downplaying the threat that a porous border poses to our citizens, filing suit in order to block our State from protecting itself, unilaterally granting immunity to tens of thousands of illegal aliens living in our midst, and now this."

Late AP News Report, Washington, DC:
The Justice Department has set up a hotline for the public to report potential civil rights concerns regarding the Arizona law that requires police to check the immigration status of those they stop for other reasons. ...

Let's Hear It Again: 'When Will Obama Crack In Public?

Posted on 3:09 PM by Unknown
Mychal Massie's April 2011 article bears rereading.   He is chairman of the National Leadership Network of Black Conservatives-Project 21.

Since Massie wrote this article, Obama has new pressures and worries that should give him ulcers, so will Massie's prediction come true?

Stupidly, President Obama has claimed executive privilege over documents related to Fast & Furious, a DOJ scandal that resulted in the death of an American border agent and nearly 300 Mexican citizens.  Furthermore, Obama's having so much trouble raising money that he has resorted to embarrassingly silly gimmicks, including suggesting people give to his campaign rather than buying wedding, birthday and anniversary presents.  He's also sold raffle tickets to the peasants for a chance to have dinner with The One.

Let's keep the pressure on.
==============================

When Will Obama Crack In Public?
By Mychal Massie
WND.com
April 19, 2011

At a time when many Americans can barely afford Burger King and a movie, Obama boasts of spending a billion dollars on his re-election campaign. Questioned at a recent appearance about the spiraling fuel costs, Obama said, “Get used to it” – and with an insouciant grin and chortle, he told another person at the event, who complained about the effect high fuel prices were having on his family, to “get a more fuel-efficient car.”

The Obamas behave as if they were sharecroppers living in a trailer and hit the Powerball, but instead of getting new tires for their trailer and a new pickup truck, they moved to Washington. And instead of making possum pie, with goats and chickens in the front yard, they’re spending and living large at taxpayer expense – opulent vacations, gala balls, resplendent dinners and exclusive command performances at the White House, grand date nights, golf, basketball, more golf, exclusive resorts and still more golf.

Expensive, ill-fitting and ill-chosen wigs and fashions hardly befit the first lady of the United States. The Obamas have behaved in every way but presidential – which is why it’s so offensive when we hear Obama say, in order “to restore fiscal responsibility, we all need to share in the sacrifice – but we don’t have to sacrifice the America we believe in.”

The American people have been sacrificing; it is he and his family who are behaving as if they’ve never had two nickels to rub together – and now, having hit the mother lode, they’re going to spend away their feelings of inadequacy at the taxpayers’ expense.

Obama File: Rights of Some Overrides Rights of Others

Posted on 12:26 AM by Unknown

I try to be an open-minded person, especially when it comes to fellow citizens and their freedom of choice, individual liberty. However, I have limitations, especially if another person's “rights” transgress against my values and principles – or moral values.
The “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” policy of the Clinton administration was a compromise concerning military personnel who are homosexuals. It didn't transgress upon the rights of heterosexuals.
Then Obama became president, and that compromise went out the window and along with it the rights of heterosexuals.
A veteran having served 15 years in the US Army I can tell you that troop unity is important, and especially in the combat arms military occupations, living together in close quarters in combat zones and training exercises is a given.
On June 15th, Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta released a message, according to American Forces Press Service, promoting and recognizingJune as “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month and thanked the families of gay and lesbian service members and LGBT civilians.
The secretary stated:

Diversity is one of the department's greatest strengths.
President BH Obama signed the repeal of “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” in December of 2010, which meant open homosexual acts would be allowed in the armed forces of the United States, and he said:
We are not a nation that says, 'don't ask, don't tell'. We are a nation that says, 'Out of many, we are one'. We are a nation that welcomes the service of every patriot. We are a nation that believes that all men and women are created equal. Those are the ideals that generations have fought for. Those are the ideals that we uphold today.
The rules of a democratic, constitutional republic are simple: People should have individual liberty and the right of free choice in all matters and forms – as long as those rights do not transgress against the rights of others.
The progressive left are not just concerned with individual rights and liberties, in fact they promote collectivism; so all of this is hypocritical. The progressive left doesn't draw lines as to how far they will go. It is like my father used to say: “Give them an inch and they want a mile”.
Our military has become polluted with political crap since the Vietnam War. Indeed, the Vietnam War's outcome was the result of leadership in Washington running the war instead of the military leadership trained and tasked to win. It should have been a hallmark in our government history that American military should never be sent anywhere to war (conveniently called a “conflict”) without congressional declaration of war; unless it is an emergency defensive measure.
Our military has been “diverse” for a long time, and Defense Secretary Panetta made little comment about the US Army's anniversary on June 14th, but made a declaration and public fanfare out of something that concerns personal lifestyles – which does not belong in an armed forces community. Now the “Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month” has been proclaimedby the person who holds the title of President of the United States – who never served one day in the military and cares nothing about the rights of heterosexuals, which is the majority of citizens in the United States; and who made no fanfare about the month of June being the anniversary of the US Army. Getting approval and votes from homosexuals was more important. Politics overriding military tradition and discipline that has proven itself to be effective and why our military is the best in the world.
Soldiers under my command were made fully aware of the US Army policy and my policy that they all wear the same uniform and are all US citizens serving their nation – all are brothers (and sisters) in arms. Prejudice against religious beliefs and ethnic/race was not tolerated. Sexual encounters among personnel were forbidden in the rank and command structure required of military service, especially between leadership ranks and lower ranks.
“Don't Ask, Don't Tell” was a reasonable compromise. Now a minority group whose sexual preference should be private anyway, are transgressing against the rights of other citizens who want to serve their country as well.
It is the same old story with progressive leftist political minority whiners – they won't settle for being equal, they want to be specially treated because they are a minority.
Over time, just as the progressive left has polluted our government, infiltrated our educational system with their propaganda thereby brainwashing our children where the government mandates supersede individual and family rights when it comes to raising their children with values and character being important have now polluted an entity that has been the best equipped and trained military in world history.
I wish to thank J. Bartlesonfor sending me this email with the subject line: “Is this True”.
Sadly, it is.
I am glad that my son is not serving as originally planned.
It is bad enough to put oneself in harm's way for unappreciative government leadership, but to live in a political pseudo military atmosphere is just too much to bear.
I would not be critical of anyone who doesn't want to serve in the US Armed Forces today, not that I ever was because that life isn't for everyone. I can fully understand why they wouldn't.
It will take quite a while to undo the damage this president has done, with the help of his comrades in Congress and the RINOs falsely claiming to be a conservative. What was once an honor of statesmanship, is now just a career choice for political prostitutes – will do anything for votes, anything to maintain big government tyranny.
Our Founders made it clear that a society that loses its values, its character, its integrity and traditions; will not remain a free society for long. Freedom requires responsibility, just like freedom of choice – they are intertwined.
Ancient Rome as an “anything goes” society, and look what happened to that civilization.
There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpation.
James Madison, speech to the Virginia Ratifying Convention, 1788
Once upon a time, homosexuality was a mental disease. Now it is a social panacea.
Obama and associates continue division instead of promised unity programs.

American Grizzlies United (AGU) is a grassroots organization dedicated to organizing, educating, and training volunteers for American political elections. This election cycle AGU is focused on down ticket races; getting Common Sense Conservatives elected who will fight for a smaller, smarter, government through sudden and relentless reform. AGU: 2012 Primary Candidate List At this very moment there are a lot of hardworking AGU volunteer's in their homes and on the ground fighting to bring positive change to America. But, if we are to win the #WAR and restore our Republic we need to recognize and actively engage another positive change that has already begun to make a difference. This positive change is not just the necessary boots on the ground engaged citizenry. It is an engaged citizenry who are also ready, willing, and able to get outside their comfort zones, and fearlessly dive into the world of Pop Culture.

Our Army of David's must actively engage The Democrat Media Complex in the arena of Pop Culture. We must be on the offense. Pop Culture has been influencing American politics for quite some time. The left figured this out a long time ago, and to be perfectly honest, we have some catching up to do. Thanks to Governor Sarah Palin, we are catching up. We are catching up very quickly. Liberals no longer own Pop Culture. Common Sense Conservatism has infiltrated the arena and some battles have already been won. For years Conservatives have ran from Pop Culture as some sort of danger. Now we need to follow the lead of Sarah Palin (or any Marine) and run toward the danger. When Bristol Palin got outside her comfort zone to compete in Dancing With The Stars millions of ordinary Americans felt compelled to flood the voting lines of the show to keep her on.

Suddenly an enormous chunk of the American electorate (many who have become disenfranchised with politics and even voting) were talking about Bristol's mother Sarah Palin and what she represented, what she had to offer, what she has accomplished, and how strong a leader in the Conservative movement she is. Pop Culture matters. Soon afterwards, TLC debuted Sarah Palin's Alaska and again an enormous chunk of the American electorate watched many of the LSM's false narratives melt before their very eyes.

Dumb, Crazy, RAAACIST, Homophobic, Bad Mother...

All of this hogwash got thrown down the drain. Across the country, without the filter of the LSM, a truthful portrayal was now in peoples living rooms. Americans watched with their own eyes how a loving hardworking family coordinate the busy schedule of a mother of five, co-owner in a family fishing business, Former: Councilwoman, Mayor, Governor, President of Alaska's Conference of Mayors, Chair of Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, Chair of the National Governors Association, 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate, Current: Fox News Contributor, Author, and much sought after Public Speaker.

Regular Americans saw for themselves how incredibly normal The Palin's are. Just like them, this family pitches in, helps each other raise their children, and conduct their small business(s). They face the same challenges that most Americans face everyday. No book burning, no hanging from a helicopter shooting wolves for fun, no divorces...

For years the loons in the enviromental left have overwhelmed Pop Culture with faulty images of cute furry little critters whose homes would be destroyed if we developed our own God given resources in Alaska. One little television show completely destroyed this lie as viewers learned for themselves that most of Alaska is a vast frozen tundra and the foot print for drilling is the equivalent of putting a dime on your dining room table. Pop Culture matters and Bambi will be just fine.

Now we have Bristol venturing out on her own in Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp on the Lifetime Network.

On August 13, 2012 Todd Palin will take part in Stars Earn Stripes on NBC.

So how do we fit into all of this?

What can we do to help advance the Common Sense Conservative world view in Pop Culture?

It's actually quite easy. Most of these shows have their own sites with forums, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts and more. Use them. Show your support. Make your voice heard.

Conservatives consistently outnumber the left by a 2-1 margin. It's time we act like it. We can surrond them.

Who knows, we don't know the format for Todd's show but he may need some help if viewer voting is involved.

The best way to get involved in Pop Culture is to just do it. Talk about these shows with your friends, families, and co-workers. Maybe invite some of them over for viewing parties.

(Remember the Sex in the City viewing parties from the 90's? Instead of serving Cosmo's and potty talk; how about serving some Alaskan Smoked Salmon or maybe even trying this recipe for Baked Alaska Cupcakes and then after the show talk about what local candidates everyone wants to support?)

If you are really willing to go outside your comfort zone to effect positive change maybe you or someone you know would like to participate in a television show. Having the platform to express the Common Sense Conservative worldview is a privilege that encourages others to take a stand against The Democrat Media Complex and show regular Americans they are not alone.

This election cycle we have an opportunity to renew the American Spirit and sense of purpose of our country.

All hands on deck.

Our work continues...

Trailer: "Truthland" Disproves the Claims In "Gasland"

Posted on 9:05 AM by Unknown
Josh Fox, a New York City filmaker, produced "Gasland," an anti-fracking movie intended to scare the public away from technology that has unleashed a wealth of energy in America. No doubt the EPA regulators support his plot so that they can attempt to force us away from fossil fuels through severe regulations.

A Pennsylvania mom was worried after watching the film, so she set out to find the truth by traveling to areas of the country where fracking is taking place. Along the way she interviewed homeowners, environmentalists, and academics.  "Truthland" reveals that "Gasland" is full of hot air.

AGU: Army of Davids VS. The #Democrat Media Complex

Posted on 3:03 PM by Unknown

This weekend American Grizzlies United joined other concerned citizens in Las Vegas for the Right On Line Conference. An Army of David's came together to talk strategy and learn from each other. The battle to save our Republic has officially begun. If the permanent political class thinks Americans are going to fall in line and let them call the shots, tread lightly around the LSM (in fear of being called: RAAACIST, Crazy, Dumb, Homophobic, Dangerous, Mean), and let the GOPe pick our candidates, then they are in for a big surprise.

Energized activists swarmed The Venetian Hotel because they are sick and tired of the permanent political class endlessly modifying America according to the dictates of some abstract intellectual concept. We love our country. And we know that America does not need to be fundamentally transformed. America needs to be restored; and together that is exactly what we are going to do.

On Friday night Governor Sarah Palin in her aggressively authentic speech reminded us that the future of America is in our hands. She pointed to the recent victory in Wisconsin and used the triumph in a way that was not a pat on the back, but rather an empowering model for the battle (#WAR) before us in November.

An organized army of patriotic David's must be prepared to fight not just the Democrat/Occupy/Union ground team, but also fight back against the Democrat-Media Complex if we are to save our country. A lesson we should have learned by now is that we must use new media to fight back the lies immediately and consistently or the old media will continue to protect their guy and allow the permanent political class to remain in power.

The seminars over the weekend focused on the power of the individual and how best to use that power to bring positive change. Brandname education and political pedigree's are a thing of the past belonging to the old media.

As we move forward past Wisconsin and into November we must remember that the power to restore America lies within us. It is literally at our fingertips. New media is the future; and the future is ours for the taking.

Our work continues...

Video: Rep. Gowdy (R-SC) Rips Eric Holder Over Fast & Furious Contempt

Posted on 2:09 PM by Unknown
After watching Rep. Trey Gowdy's (R-SC) epic rant about Eric Holder's contempt of Congress over Fast & Furious, imagine the possibilities should Gowdy ever get elected to serve as Speaker of the House, or better yet, President. He's smart as a whip, and a vocal champion of the Constitution and the laws of the land.  Keep an eye on this gentleman.

Governor Scott Walker Wins - Big Government-Unions Lose

Posted on 10:36 AM by Unknown

SCOTT WALKER REMAINS THE GOVERNOR OF WISCONSIN in recall election!
Much to the relief of Wisconsin citizens who have fought so long to attain the right guaranteed by the Second Amendment to “keep and bear arms”; as well as the fight against unions involved in government affairs, civil employment, that has caused an increase in state (and federal) expenditures (tax dollars) in the cost of government personnel employment. Now, those employed by our state government will pay into their own retirement like the rest of the working class; and yet have more benefits than those taxpayers who are paying toward their salaries and wages – which is higher than the state's average rate for those employed in the private sector.
Walker stated in his victory speech:
Tonight, we tell Wisconsin, we tell our country and we tell all people all across the globe that voters really do want leaders who stand up and make tough decisions.
Indeed, the history of some state governments and certainly the federal government's legislative branch, have clearly demonstrated that it is easier to go along with the “crowd” rather than stand up for the rights and liberties of the people who put them in office; as well as honor and enforce the articles and amendments of the Constitution of the United States.
Millions of dollars flowed into the state of Wisconsin in opposition, as well as support, of the Walker recall election. It was a landmark recall that had been orchestrated not as a cause that was not because of ethical transgressions or illegal acts of a governor, but because a governor stood against the power of the trade union and the selfish and spoiled people who are employed to be civil servants of the People. To many people who are employed in government office positions have the attitude that they are doing their fellow citizens' favors by performing their job; when in fact they are servants of the people and not the other way around.
Whiners of the political left who work in government positions, like teachers, have developed an attitude that it is their right to allow unions to control the personnel budget of government, whether it be state or federal. This recall election outcome has shown differently.
Whatever campaign propaganda was delivered in this unjustified recall election, does not deter from the gist of facts: Governor Scott Walker was being hounded for doing what he was elected for, performing his tasks as a governor should, and keeping campaign promises. Those promises included creating an atmosphere that would keep businesses in Wisconsin, and encourage them to work at expanding their business, which in turn creates additional employment for the betterment of the people of the State of Wisconsin, not just for those who belong to unions.
Tom Barrett, while moaning about losing the recall election, made a statement about unity, reported by MSN:
We are a state that has been deeply divided and it is up to all of us, our side and their side, to listen. To listen to each other and to try to do what is right for everyone in this state. The state remains divided and it is my hope that while we have lively debates, a lively discourse which is healthy in any democracy, that those who are victorious tonight, as well as those of us who are not victorious tonight, can at the end of the day do what is right for Wisconsin families.
Tom Barrett, the Democrat Party, and the unions have been the ones promoting disunity. For part of the political platform that is written into the ethics and policies of the Democrat Party is to “divide and conquer”. Barrett failed to mention the TV/radio ads that used character assassination and every political propaganda trick in the book to make this recall election go to his favor.
Mitt Romney, candidate for the presidency, Election 2012, stated on Walker's behalf:
Governor Walker has demonstrated over the past year what sound fiscal policies can do to turn an economy around, and I believe that in November voters across the country will demonstrate that they want the same in Washington, DC. Tonight's results will echo beyond the borders of Wisconsin.
It remains to be seen, as many citizens believe, whether or not Romney will be a solid base towards real reformation of our federal government or just all talk like too many times in the past. Mitt Romneyis still viewed by many as a voter's choice only because the opponent, Barack Obama, is far worse in leading our country. However, it can be rightfully said that Romney has better character and value qualities than the incumbent president that presently sits in the Oval Office – when he is not on vacation or golfing.
It is interesting that President Obama, much to the chagrin of Wisconsin Democrats, who did not stop in Wisconsin in his trip to Minnesota to campaign for Tom Barrett.
Could it be because Obama's approval rating as dropped so low?
Only speculation at this point.
Governor Walker also had a unity statement:
Tomorrow is the day after the election. Tomorrow, we are no longer opponents; tomorrow, we are one as Wisconsinites.
Democrat leadership in Washington were watching this recall closely, as well as unions, to see if there will be implications caused from it in the upcoming general election.
They are correct in worrying, and there is no sympathy coming from here. The Democrat Party has been long-time coming when reformation is the issue. They have moved from the true sense of liberalism to democratic-socialism in the span of the last fifty years; and this has escalated under the leadership, as President of the United States, of Barack H. Obama.
The bottom line:
Labor unions belong in the private sector, their right to do so as long as they stick to ethical and civic laws; however, labor unions do not have the right to oversee employment of civic employees of either state or federal government. It is recommended to the legislative branch of both state governments and the federal government that they create an amendment to the United States Constitution that forbids any private sector entity (unions) to have the power of control over employment within the personnel agencies and offices of government. It is not only an affront to constitutional law of limited government, but it is also detrimental to fiscal responsibility of the budgeting of taxpayer dollars.
Any private entity that develops power that promotes increased, and unnecessary, cost of operation of government should be regarded as detrimental to the constitutional mandate of limited government, as well as the rights of We the People.
Historically, Wisconsin has not backed (as a majority) a Republican candidate for presidential election since Ronald Reagan in 1984; but this recall election outcome may indicate, especially since Obama did not involve himself. The traditional “swing” state whose latest polls show that Wisconsinites favor Obama over Romney from 6 to 10 points. Obama won Wisconsin votes in 2008 by 14%, despite people like myself warning them that he was not the right person for the job. Still, there are too many Wisconsinites who retain favor for Obama for the following reasons (given):
  • He is a member of the Democrat Party.
  • He is the first “Black” President of the United States.
And still others state for reasons for continued backing of Barack Obama, like “I like him”. No logical explanation, no consideration for job performance and campaign promises not followed through (except for ObamaCare, which was a disaster before it was implemented).
Americans have continued the practice of voting based upon emotion, propaganda, and loyalty to a political party (club); despite statistical and real-time facts being presented against their political stance.
And there are still other Americans who will not participate in politics, that includes voting, because it is disdainful, argumentative, and they just have no interest. They are the Americans who are the most delusional and the least patriotic. They rely on TV/radio ads and political rhetoric to decide who they vote for, never knowing much about their previous actions and policies within their voting record or the record of the candidates political career. And most of those described are not familiar with constitutional law, know who their representatives or senators are, and decide that all politicians are “corrupt” and thus voting is a waste of time.
It is hard for me to believe that Americans would, so blindly and consistently, allow politicians who do not uphold their sworn oaths of office and have the power over our private lives. They will certainly complain about the conditions or issues in America – state or federal issues – but do nothing to work upon reforming by choosing their candidates more carefully. Part of the blame goes to the infrastructure and curriculum of our educational system, which the union and progressives have wisely gained control. There is an ulterior motive to “dumbing down” the youth of America and not allowing open discussion or critical thinking when it comes to our government. It is part of the grand scheme of making government increasingly powerful in order to do what they perceive as good government – big government with little or no limitations, centralized by federal authority established against the Constitution as well as the reasoning that caused the framers to create it.
Like Arizona, Wisconsin is a state that could become a leader in true reform and not the false “changes” promised, with little detail as to what changes are to occur, that was promised in the Election 2008.
Let's hope that our “swing state” reputation and political reasoning swings into the direction of a limited and constitutional government.
I must conclude this article with a hearty thanks to fellow citizens in this landmark stand against big government and the unconstitutional insertion of power by labor unions. And, although I doubt it, but it is wishful thinking, that those that voted for Barrett and big and wasteful government will wake up to what the Tea Party and reformation movement is truly about -- We the People in control of OUR government.
