Paul Ryan's VP nomination acceptance speech was the voice of We The People. While on vacation at a Gulf Coast condo, the owner of the building looked me in the eye and said, “Lloyd, as a nation, we need to BELIEVE again. We need to believe that the people we put in office are good honorable people committed to doing what is best for our country.” Paul Ryan is the answer to the elderly condo owner's dream.
What struck me most watching Ryan brilliantly deliver his speech was an unmistakable sense of wholesomeness which emanated from the man. It is the same quality possessed by Sarah Palin which is as repulsive to the modern Democratic Party and mainstream media as showing Dracula the cross.
Remarkably, the Democratic Party has become so infected with an anti-American, socialistic and anti-God agenda, that traditional American wholesome principles and values are vehemently attacked and labeled “extreme”.
According to the Democratic Party and mainstream media, rejecting Obama's mandate to force Christians to fund abortions is branded a “war on women”. Americans who do not object to homosexual civil unions, but believe “Marriage” should remain defined as between a man and a woman are punished and branded bigots and haters by the Democrats and their sycophant media.
Unbelievably, Obama is historic in two categories. He is America's first mixed-race president and the first president that the mainstream media declares it racist to criticize or disagree with in any way. The passionate mantra of the mainstream media has always been, “We must speak truth to power!” Well, apparently, it does not apply when there is a black man occupying the Oval Office.
And speaking of “occupying”, Ryan pointed out in his speech how the Obama administration (and the mainstream media, I might add) rallied around the OWS thugs while demonizing small business owners; the people that make our country work and employs most Americans.
Ryan called Mitt Romney a man of high morals. Mentioning the “M” word was like throwing Holy Water on the Democrats and mainstream media. I heard them screaming through my TV, Stop! Stop! It burns! It BURNS!
As excepted, the Democrats and the media have launched their, Paul Ryan-is-an-extremist-racist-nut campaign. Think of their campaign to destroy Paul Ryan as “Sarah Palin Two: The Sequel”; only this time it is a wholesome articulate bright white male they hope to brand as the dumbest most extreme VP nominee ever.
Still, Americans that watched his speech on TV with open minds and hearts “felt” Paul Ryan. They sensed that we are in a battle of good versus evil; wholesomeness versus a diminished America and Godless society.
To the elderly small businessman condo owner, longing for politicians we can believe in again, Paul Ryan represents a major step in the right direction. Go Romney/Ryan, America needs you!

A poll claims Romney will receive zero percent of the black vote. Well, if the poll proves correct, it means that a vast majority of black voters are ignorant of the truth... or else they're racist.
Black Christians who vote for Obama knowing his crimes against Christianity and biblical principles haven chosen to worship the idol of racial loyalty over their discipleship to Jesus Christ. Pure and simple.

Incredibly, some blacks have completely forsaken their Christianity for Obama. A fellow PK (preacher's kid) said her parents recently changed their stance on same-sex marriage in support of their black president. I find this remarkable.
Though I disagree, I have been sympathetic and understanding with black seniors who have suffered dearly, with hearts still bearing scars of racial injustice.
A year or so ago, I hosted the first Black Conservative Press Conference at the National Press Club in DC. Several prominent black conservatives from numerous black conservative groups/organizations spoke. My brother brought my 84-year-old black dad from Baltimore. That evening, Dad said, “Everything I heard today is true. But, because of racism I suffered in my youth, I can not turn against Obama.”
At that time, I respectfully gave my hero, my preacher dad, a pass. Some may criticize me, saying, Lloyd, either you stand for conservatism or you do not. While you may have a valid point, it is in my DNA to respect my parents. How do you respectfully tell your usually character-driven parent that his decision to support Obama, no-matter-what, is rooted in racism and a refusal to forgive?
But now that Obama has been exposed as the most anti-Christian president in U.S. history, senior black Christians must no longer be given a pass for supporting this man.
At stake is something extremely important; their fellowship with Christ versus an idolatrous worship of skin-color.
Obama versus Jesus. “...Choose you this day whom ye will serve,” Joshua 24:15
A growing number of black clergy are publicly choosing Jesus over Obama -- denouncing Obama for his support of same-sex marriage and his vow to be an advocate for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities.
Talk about hard core anti-Christian beliefs; not only does Obama support abortion, but he supports infanticide – killing babies who survive failed abortions.
Obama taught Alinsky tactics to university students from a book which its author dedicated to Lucifer. “Rules for Radicals” was written by Saul Alinsky.
Alinsky's dedication says, “...the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer”
Obama's attacks on religious freedoms are numerous. Over 40 Catholic groups are suing Obama for mandating in Obamacare that faith-based institutions provide contraception and abortion services.
Make no mistake about it: the black church is home base/campaign headquarters for Democratic Party politics. IRS rules against political campaigning from the pulpit only applies to Republicans.
In his shameful, blatantly race-baiting “African-Americans for Obama” campaign ad, Obama says to go, “to your faith community” to promote his campaign. Obama actually instructs black churches to recruit “congregation captains” for his re-election campaign.
Rest assured; black churches which dis Jesus for Obama will not be investigated by the IRS for violating their 501c3 non-profit status.
But there is a higher authority. Woe unto black pastors who encourage their flocks to vote racial loyalty over biblical principles.
Incredibly, the roots of racial hatred run so insidiously deep into the hearts of some blacks who profess Christianity that Obama has their vote – period. These blacks will claim that my facts are lies, that videos have been doctored, and that I am a paid Uncle Tom sell-out to the Republicans. The Bible speaks of those who would rather believe a lie than the truth. Such are in my prayers.
In the biblical account of Christ's Passion, the law gave the mob an opportunity to free one condemned prisoner, thus, saving their choice from crucifixion. Pilate asked the crowd, do I free Jesus or Barabbas? The crowd yelled, “Give us Barabbas!” Jesus was crucified.
Two thousand years later, biblical principles are scheduled for crucifixion in America. Black Christians are faced with a crucial choice; Jesus or Obama. I pray that come November, a majority of black Christians will not yell, “Give us Obama!”

Mary and I accepted Becky's gracious offer to use her condo for a week of relaxation. The panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico from the balcony is breathtakingly beautiful. The spectacular scene of varying shades of blue sky and alive water is always in a continuous state of change. From our high vantage point, we realized that the gulf is a mirror reflecting the heavens, gifting the sky an opportunity to behold it's own glory.
We were thrilled to witness a pod of dolphins swimming in one direction across our view in the mornings and swimming in the opposite direction in the evenings. Their amazing water ballet featured dolphins two by two, in unison, gracefully leaping into the air and reentering the water in one silky smooth movement.

Surfing the TV channels, I caught the media frenzy over stupid statements made by Republican Todd Akin. One could only conclude that Akin was the most important news story on the planet. This is yet another example of irresponsible, reprehensible and sold-their-souls-to-the-devil behavior by the mainstream media. Their motto is anything that helps Obama or makes Republicans look bad must be exploited to the max. So Akin will receive 24/7 coverage until they have milked every ounce of negative PR for Republicans out of the story.
Remarkably, the mainstream media functions as if getting Obama reelected trumps everything including world affairs, national security, the U.S. economy and nation race relations.
While our media imitates sharks responding to blood in the water ripping apart Akin, Iran unveiled a new upgraded missile. In response, Israel is talking about possibly attacking Iran. Food and gas prices continue to skyrocket. Mary said, “Can you believe a quart of mayo is five dollars on sale?” One in seven Americans are on food stamps. Have you heard the mainstream media talk about any of these crucial issues? The answer is no because these extremely important news stories do not further the mainstream media's mission to reelect Obama.
As I stated, even national race relations is fair game to be sacrificed for Obama. For example: The mainstream media has ignored the New Black Panthers' call for violence on Republicans at the Republican National Convention in Tampa.
The New Black Panthers' rant on a radio program against Republicans was vile, profane, racist and hate-filled. And yet, we have not heard one peep of rebuke or denouncement from Obama, the Democrats or the mainstream media. The Panthers outrageously and absurdly claim that Republicans hate black people. Therefore, the Panthers claim moral authority to say to the RNC: our “Feet will be on your motherf***king necks”
Judging by their silence regarding the Panthers' hate-filled threat of violence on whites, one can only conclude that the Obama camp believes that the New Black Panthers ginning up hatred in blacks, against white Republicans is good for Obama's reelection. So what if their evil lie rhetoric sets back national race relations, inspires violence and furthers racial division. The Obama camp is not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
The Obama justice department and mainstream media simply yawned when the New Black Panthers broke the law by putting a bounty on the head of George Zimmerman. Could the under reported epidemic of black flash mob attacks on whites across America be the fruit of the mainstream media supporting Democrat race-baiting and ignoring New Black Panthers threats of violence?
This is the evil we good people of America are up against folks. It truly is a war of us against them who harbor evil intentions. This election is not politics as usual; Democrats vs Republicans fighting for control of America's purse strings.
Given their obvious agenda to reelect Obama, lack of fair and balanced analysis and refusal to report news which really affects our lives, I have no, I repeat, no respect for the mainstream media. My gag reflex is growing increasingly weak watching small minded arrogant people on TV pontificating about premises which are flawed at their root; such as, all opposition to Obama is racist.
This week, it was 24/7 coverage of Akin. In these days leading up to the November presidential election, expect the mainstream media to triple down on their coverage of minor stories that they believe will help Obama while ignoring major news that impacts our lives.
The New Black Panthers are pushing for a race war. And yet, the president, his justice department, the Democratic Party and the mainstream media say nothing. Absolutely contemptible.
Hang in there my fellow patriots. God is still on our side and we will defeat this evil come November. May God bless you and the United States of America.

These three kids wanted to run for the tall grass. It was early 90's at the U.S. Citizenship Ceremony in Maryland. Around 1500 people filled the hall comprising of citizenship applicants, supportive family and friends.
I was backstage with a trio of extremely nervous and intimidated teenagers who were scheduled to sing our National Anthem. These kids had never performed for such a large audience.
I had been the grand finale of the ceremony for years, performing my original song, “Celebrate America” after applicants took their oath of allegiance. I took great pride that my song was the first song thousands heard as official Americans.
When the MC introduced the trio from so-and-so junior high school, the kids were visibly shaking. They began the anthem fine, but one got nervous and stopped singing which threw off the other two and they stopped singing as well. The trio stood in silence.
I walked from backstage and joined the kids center stage. I told the audience that these kids were symbolic of what it really means to be an American and the great family they would soon become a part of. I shared that the kids were very frightened because the event was much larger than they expected. They could have backed down and refused to perform. But despite their fear, these kids found the courage to face the difficult challenge, keep their word and give it a try. This is the American Way.
Together, the trio and I sang the National Anthem. The audience gave us a standing ovation.
Performing my song at U.S. Citizenship Ceremonies rewarded me an opportunity to chat with brand new “proud” Americans. They understood the sacrifice and divine blessing required to make this extraordinarily unique experiment called “America” a thriving reality. They gleefully desired to assimilate into our culture.
Some applicants were extremely old in wheelchairs; their raised right hand assisted by a family member as they tearfully recited their oath of allegiance.
As the sacred sound of the applicants reciting their oath of allegiance, in unison, came to an end, the hall always erupted in cheers and applause. These jubilant people of various races from numerous countries were officially Americans! They respected our laws, followed the rules and were awarded the precious gift of U.S. Citizenship.
With a stroke of his executive pen, Obama awarded amnesty to illegals, pushing them to the head of the line, in front of applicants who are following the legal process to become U.S. citizens. Obama is disrespecting the efforts of those seeking citizenship legally and the value of what it means to become an American.
And yes, there is a dramatically different mindset between those I witnessed at the ceremonies who earned their precious U.S. Citizenship verses those who got it for free because Obama seeks to purchase Hispanic votes.
Many illegals given instant free citizenship by Obama could not care less about assimilating into our society. They refuse to learn English and have little or no respect for our flag. America is simply the place the go for freebies while still proudly waving their Mexican flag.
Meanwhile, American kids are banned from wearing clothing which features the U.S. flag to school on Cinco de Mayo, a Mexican holiday. The song “God Bless The USA (Proud to be an American)” is banned from public school deemed potentially offensive to other cultures.
Illegals given free citizenship from Obama join the socialists/progressives in their “what's-the-big-deal-about-being-an-American” attitude.
So illegals who are clueless as to what it truly means to be an American and have no emotional connection to our amazing country enjoy benefits not even available to legal U.S. Citizens. For example: Thanks to Obama, illegals from outside any given state can get in-state tuition while U.S. Citizens can not.
Even more painful, Obama continues to lower the bar of what it means to be an American.
Obama's speeches and actions imply that he would like to rewrite the words at the base of our Statue of Liberty to read: Bring me your lazy, entitlement-minded, class envious, haters of achievement, those who pervert God's original intent, baby killers and deadbeats. I offer America to you with open arms.
The value and worth of U.S. Citizenship is yet another item on a growing list of sacred laws (The Constitution), freedoms and principles Obama has sacrificed on the socialist/progressive alter of evil to purchase four more years; needed to complete his vowed fundamental transformation of America. God help us.

On behalf of ten ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement)employees, Kris Kobach, Kansas Secretary of State filed a lawsuit on their behalf against Janet Napolitano, Homeland Security Secretary and ICE Director, John Morton. The lawsuit was begun today and it is legal action against the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivalsplan that President Obama illegally created against laws legislated by Congress that the executive branch refuses to enforce. Indeed, the word Enforcement in ICE is a joke. It isn’t like this was the first president to ignore enforcement of immigration laws, the last four presidents didn’t fare any better – but they didn’t enact an executive order that superseded congressional legislation, a clear violation of the Constitution of the United States. Barack Hussein Obamashould be included in the lawsuit because he authorized the action.
The lawsuit filing consists of 22 pages that the executive administration violates federal law and forces ICE employees to break the law by not arresting certain illegal immigrants. According to Dallas News: Kobach, who also advised Arizona lawmakers on the state’s controversial immigration bill, said he is representing the employees as a private lawyer and not in the capacity as a Kansas state official. He wrote in the lawsuit that ICE agents have been ordered not to arrest illegal immigrants who claim to be eligible for the administration’s new deportation policy. . . . In June, Napolitano and President Barack Obama said that some illegal immigrants could avoid deportation and be granted a work permit for up to two years. Under the program, immigrants have to prove that they arrived in the United States before they turned 16, have been in the country for at least five years, are 30 or younger, are in school or have graduated or have served in the military may be eligible. They cannot have a criminal record or otherwise be considered a threat to public safety or national security. . . . U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services started accepting applications for the program on Aug. 15. Immigrants have to pay a $465 paperwork fee for the program. DHS officials have not said how many people might be eligible under the program, though the Pew Hispanic Center and others have estimated that about 1.7 million people could be covered. An internal DHS document obtained by The Associated Press shows that the government estimated receiving about 1.04 million applications in the program's first year, with about 890,000 being immediately eligible. The document estimated that the program could cost between $467.7 million and $585.4 million. The department anticipated collecting about $484.2 million in fees.
With unemployment so severe, common sense would dictate that 1.04 million people who have circumvented the law should be deported and provide openings for out-of-work Americans. However, common sense in our government has died long ago.
Media outlets that reported the story are AP, Fox Nation, and Washington Times as of today. The Democrat-controlled media: NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, and others have failed to report on the matter as of this article posting.
Debbie Schlussel wrote an exclusive on the story. Debbie also has added another federal lawsuit that had been unnoticed concerning Homeland Security employment discrimination against straight male agents by Napolitano. The federal complaint reads that Napolitano favored her lesbian girlfriend and also stated that Suzanne Barr, Chief of Staff of ICE, demanded that a male ICE Special Agent engage in oral sex with her and when refused their offices were relocated to the men’s bathroom at ICE headquarters. All those involved were hand-picked by Barack Obama to operate the Department of Homeland Security.
Blogs like Hotair, Examiner, Weasel Zippers, Sodaheadand others also published hours ago. The Tea Party Organization also wrote an article on the breaking story of the lawsuit.
This White House administration has undergone more lawsuits than any other has. BH Obama has violated several laws, including the articles of the Constitution, where in one he violated state rights in the Arizona lawsuit case that the Supreme Court took sides with the White House and federal authorities. During the entire term of his administration, he has violated constitutional laws and ethics, even jeopardized national security – but not ONE whisper of impeachment hearings to be conducted. It is partly because every time a viable complaint or violation is pointed out, the accusers are immediately denounced as racists. How convenient.
This president claimed in his campaign speeches that he was to “unite” America. Yet, he divides people by race and financial status – common within the political tools of the Democrat Party.
Smart Republicans have listened to and joined the Tea Party movement (those that are true conservative-constitutionalists) demanding extreme reformation policies be put in action within the federal government. The Democrat Party needs to be put into such a minority state of being that they will be forced to reform themselves – although it will take a long time before anyone trusts them. As far as myself, I do not trust Republicans who are part of the political establishment either.
Thomas Jeffersonand other prominent founders warned Americans that they must keep a close watch upon those elected – and a tight rein; otherwise, tyranny replaced by the American Revolution only replaces a different form of it. The Tea Party movement has set off a Second American Revolution – but this time it will be won by votes and the amount of Americans who are willing to stand by truth and principles instead of the garbage they are expected to believe.
The disgusting behavior by the People put in trust to operate our government is beyond words and makes me ill.
The following video is a testament why I insist that ALL candidates running for the elected office of senator, representative, President of the US, and VP should be required to have an FBI background check for security clearance – like myself and others were required for access to classified material.
The following video also demonstrates that while a President of the United States is not required to have military experience, it certainly helps in the role of commander-in-chief of the US Armed Forces. BH Obama, a former community organizer and briefly a US Senator has, obviously, not the right stuff required for his position. If any other citizen of the United States would have done what Obama and those in his administration and members of Congress did in breaching national security – they would be looked upon as actions that are traitorous and definitely prosecuted.
In the views of politicians and courts today, apparently traitorous actions are no longer a serious issue to be dealt with, an example would be Taliban Walkercase.

We the People are facing a serious choice this election year. The major problems we face today are because those that operate OUR government over several decades have ignored or circumvented the Constitution of the United States and its amendments. The separation of powers is dissolving, and the Supreme Court legislates from the judicial bench. Supreme Court justices disregard their oath of office, relying upon foreign laws and political, special interest group in making their decisions. The justices make decisions upon what they perceive the articles of the Constitution implies, despite clear definitions. An example would be the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, and Tenth amendments. For decades, state governments have been allowed to deny Second Amendment rights to American citizens through state laws that are clearly unconstitutional. We the People are just as guilty as the politicians are because we have allowed them to manipulate us with the help of the media networks that use misinformation, bias and nonobjective information reporting. The people lost the freedom of choice via the media and politicians who do not limit the powers of government, as well as giving those choices away for promises of what government control can do.There are some very serious issues at stake in this year's election -- so many that some people may not be able to see the forest for the trees. Individual issues are the trees, but the forest is the future of America as we have known it. The America that has flourished for more than two centuries is being quietly but steadily dismantled by the Obama administration, during the process of dealing with particular issues. For example, the merits or demerits of President Obama's recent executive order, suspending legal liability for young people who are here illegally, presumably as a result of being brought here as children by their parents, can be debated pro and con. But such a debate overlooks the much more fundamental undermining of the whole American system of Constitutional government. The separation of powers into legislative, executive and judicial branches of government is at the heart of the Constitution of the United States -- and the Constitution is at the heart of freedom for Americans.
Beginning with the FDR administration where F.D. Roosevelt stated hi his Commonwealth Club address:
The task of statesmanship has always been the redefinition of these rights in terms of a changing and growing social order.
“Social order” is a key phrase that comes from the philosophy of Karl Marx and to say that the Constitution must be “redefined” is an illusion, for the Founders were wise enough to create a constitution designed to apply to changes that occur as time progresses. In terms of social changes, the Founders knew that if society allowed the standards of family and social values, diluted and ignored, so then the Constitution is null and void. John Adams wrote in 1778:
The foundation of national morality must be laid in private families... In vain are Schools, Academies, and Universities instituted, if loose principles and licentious habits are impressed upon children in their earliest years ... The vices and examples of the parents cannot be concealed from the children. How is it possible that children can have any just sense of the Sacred Obligations of Morality or Religion if, from their earliest Infancy, they learn their mothers live in habitual infidelity to their fathers, and their fathers in as constant infidelity to their mothers?
We the People are not in contract with our government to be afforded rights and liberties as FDRalluded, contradictory to the basis of the Declaration of Independence”
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.
Whether or not one believes in Creationism or that life began in a primordial soup – the gist of this statement applies.
It took a civil war to exercise those words into literal common truth that all men are created equal, and the emancipation of slaves and women’s rights were established in lawful equality.
The word unalienableis not conducive to any “contract” – for rights and liberties fall under natural law of humanity. Those self-evident concepts are never changing. Alexander Hamilton wrote:
The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of divinity itself …
F.D. Rooseveltclaimed that the fundamental change was that you have property because the government allows it, which is not what the Founders established. BH Obama recently stated that if it were not for government aid businesses would exist. Both presidents, and some between, advocate Rule of the Mobinstead of Rule of Law.

Therefore, We the People have a definitive choice between two major political philosophies, of which both established political parties have transgressed against the system of the American republic, as well as the meaning and purpose of the Constitution of the United States and its amendments – based upon the principles of the Declaration of Independence. When during the Course of events means that truth applies anytime and anywhere.
This was the object of the Declaration of Independence. Not to find out new principles, or new arguments, never before thought of, not merely to say things which had never been said before; but to place before mankind the common sense of the subject, in terms so plain and firm as to command their assent, and to justify ourselves in the independent stand we are compelled to take. Neither aiming at originality of principle or sentiment, nor yet copied from any particular and previous writing, it was intended to be an expression of the American mind, and to give to that expression the proper tone and spirit called for by the occasion.

Our problems and issues we face today have accumulated over decades, and they are not resolved because those we elect continue making the same mistakes in different ways.
In the Constitution of the United States, the limitation of powers is clear, as well as the separation of those powers. The Fifth Amendment:
No person shall be …. deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
The articles of the Constitution place limitation upon government for important reasons – and those fundamental reasons NEVER are outdated, and those that state differently have ulterior motives or have been corrupted by other political philosophies.
Limitation of government is clear in the Declaration of Independence, which lists grievances that established the content of the articles of the Constitution. Sovereignty and individual liberties were established and governments, necessary for a nation to survive, are elected By the People to represent all citizens of the United States; and that sovereignty and those rights supersede any claims of foreign people and their governments. That includes the world-body organization called the United Nations.
James Madison, Federalist #51:
But what is government itself but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary.
Equality does not mean that all of us are physically equal in appearance or abilities; but equal in sense of the law, as well as rights and liberties – each of us having the freedom of choice as long as those choices do not transgress against the rights and liberties of others. Members and supporters of the Democrat Party, as well as those who belong/support to the Republican Party use the word fairness often. Their concept of fairness is providing special interest groups and minorities, rights and liberties that supersede rights of others.

This essay presents the foundation of making choices, and the choice between political philosophies that have divided our nation unified in the form of a republic that is now past the crossroad toward the political philosophy of democratic-socialism versus a constitutional republic. It is a choice between truth and illusion, individual freedom versus the illusion of fairness of collectivism. It is a battle between the natural law of standards that promote family unity, individual freedom, and civilized values with government control of every facet of an individual’s life and annulment of rights and liberties established by the founding Americans.
If you do not exercise your right to vote and do not vote in a free choice and responsible manner – you are subject to the whims of others who vote and those who side with those whose agenda is to destroy the American republic, Rule of Law, and natural law. Primary elections are an important process that determines who will campaign in the final election for office – yet not enough Americans participate. Those that do participate rely upon the media bias and misinformation in making their decisions, as well as the demand of the political establishment that is behind the issues and problems we continually face with no problems solved. One cannot expect change if We the People, and those we elect, continue on the same path that created those problems - making the same mistakes will not change anything.
Politicians gauge their effectiveness by how much legislation voted upon instead of the quality and constitutionality.
We the People must educate ourselves in the concept and workings of the Constitution and its related documentation in order to be responsible voters and keep tabs upon those elected. Government-controlled educational institutions cannot be relied upon to do this, for they are constantly changing the rules and weakening the basis of constitutional law. The Internet provides a great ability to achieve self-education, and it can be at no cost, just the time it takes to learn. Hillsdale Collegeoffers just such course programs, only asking for a $50 voluntary donation. Constitution 101 and Constitution 201are available.
Too many legislators serving in Congress are not qualified in the respect of knowledge of constitutional law, its background and concepts. Indeed, too often they do not read and analyze bills brought to the floor for vote, relying upon information from others or just support it because others of their political party do.
Thomas Jeffersonand other founders, strongly believed that the People of any nation must be educated and knowledgeable, emphasizing the advantage of a classical education.

Chairman, Campaign To Defeat Obama
I jump on every opportunity to respectfully challenge my 84 year old black dad's loyalty to Obama. Dad has been a Christian pastor over 50 years. He lives in Maryland and I live in Florida. I called Dad to ask if he participated in Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. He said, no he had not heard about it. Then, he added, “All I know is Chick-fil-A discriminates against gays.”
Folks, I was outraged. Struggling to keep my composure, I passionately said, “Dad, that is a lie! You have got to stop getting your news from the mainstream media!”
I went on to explain to my dad what the protest and appreciation day were really about. Dad was shocked. He does not support same-sex marriage. Dad was pretty grossed out when I told him that in retaliation homosexuals have planned a “kiss-in” at Chick-fil-A restaurants.
I also took the occasion to inform Dad that black pastors across America have organized to protest Obama's support of same-sex marriage. Again, Dad knew nothing about the black pastor's protest.
At my local Chick-fil-A restaurant, Mavis and I were the only blacks there in support of the protest, amongst hundreds of white Christians and Tea Party patriots.
So what is going on? Why is the truth not getting to a majority of black Americans? I fault a majority of black media outlets and the mainstream media.
For the most part, conservative talk radio is a white thing. Even black conservative radio talk show hosts have a mostly white following.
How do we get the truth to black America? Since I am writing about this problem, one might assume I have a solution. Well, I do not, and it frustrates me.
My conversation with Dad was yesterday. He called me at 9AM this morning. “Why haven't I heard about what Christians were doing in support of Chick-fil-A?” I told Dad the reason is because the mainstream media, where he gets his news, is in the pocket of the socialists/progressives who embrace same-sex marriage. The mainstream media (CNN, ABC, CBS, and NBC) gave the phenomenon minimal coverage.
Dad was surprised to learn that all who oppose same-sex marriage are branded bigots and haters by his beloved Democratic Party and the mainstream media. Dad said he does not hate or judge anyone. However, the Bible says homosexuality is wrong. He must stand on the Word of God.
Patriots, my excitement was overwhelming. For years I have been waiting for the correct moment and approach to “respectfully” tell Dad that his blind loyalty to Obama and the Democrats contradicts everything he has stood for and taught me. The moment was miraculously here. Dad was on the phone, asking questions and listening.
My mind was racing, “OK! OK! How can I give him a history lesson and Conservatism vs Liberalism 101 in as few words as possible?” I thought, “Calm down and take it slow.” We talked for an hour.
Dad did not know that not only did Obama say that he supports same-sex marriage, but he vowed to be an advocate of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities. Dad told me to send him the link, which is pretty amazing, considering I have not been successful getting dad to check his email.
Dad was unaware that the Democratic Party is considering making same-sex marriage a part of its platform.
I explained to Dad that the mainstream media spins the truth and, in many cases, lies to support its socialist/progressive anti-Christian anti-God agenda.
For example: Dad heard from his media sources that Republicans, Christians, and Conservatives are trying to ban contraception for women. Yes, Dad was familiar with the reported “War on Women”.
I told Dad no one is trying to stop women from obtaining birth control. Contraception is cheap – available at Walmart for five bucks. I explained that under Obama Care, Christian institutions and Christians will be forced to fund contraception and abortion services against their will and their faith. Again, Dad was shocked. Dad said he does not want to fund such services.
My 84 year old dad joined the Democratic Party in his youth, believing it to be for the hard working little guy. I informed Dad that that Democratic Party no longer exists. In short, spoiled-brat old hippies run the Democratic Party today.
A majority of the Democratic Party leadership are far-left liberals who hate America and believe that man can fix every problem. God is an imaginary being clung to by ignorant, bitter, and racist middle Americans. These Democrats believe they are intellectually superior – and thus far better-qualified to manage our lives. This is why the Democratic Party seeks ever-expanding governmental controls over our behavior. Outrageously, death panels in Obama Care even give government power to decide who lives and who dies.
In response to the socialists/progressives' disbelief in God, Dad, a preacher over 50 years, said, “Your house had a builder. I did not see him. Nor do I know him. But I know he exists. Man also had a builder.”
Dad ended our conservation with “I'm going to Chick-fil-A today to spend some money.”

Reagan is Gone: Is Sarah Palin America's Next Great Cheerleader?

Some might think me to be just a naïve sentimental old fart. I still remember living in the projects of Baltimore and seeing my dad walking to work. Every eye was on the handsome young black man in his dress blue uniform with polished brass buttons, starched white shirt and spit shined black shoes. Dad was one of the first blacks to break the color barrier into the Baltimore City Fire Department. I was nine years old and so proud of my dad.
While race baiters and haters love to bash our great country saying there should have never been a “color barrier” into the Baltimore City Fire Department, the truth of the matter is black and white Americans together saw this evil and corrected it. Jesus said he who is without sin cast the first stone. It is time that we move on. For crying out loud, we now have a black president of the United States.
Dad went on to be Baltimore City Fire Department's first black Firefighter of the Year, paramedic and Chaplin.
My wife Mary said when she first met dad at a family cookout, she was surprised. She expected a huge man. What she saw was a little pleasant man wearing a funny hat attending the grill, cooking hotdogs and burgers. Dad is around five-eleven medium built. But in my mind, he has always been a very big man.
Dad once commented to me how it saddened him to see the deterioration of standards in the fire department – firefighters being slapped on the wrist for not showing up for their shift and serious laps of character.
Dad, now 84, is very much like Ronald Reagan. Both men came up the hard way and worked for everything they got. Both epitomized the American Dream. Reagan was an eternal optimist; so is my dad. Reagan loved laughter and jokes. Dad who lives in Maryland calls me in Florida to tell me his latest joke. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am to still laugh at dad's corny jokes.
Dad is a good guy. Am I naïve or old fashioned expecting the good guy to win? Has America changed so dramatically that being good – a person of character is considered naïve?
Public schools are teaching our children that patriotism is ignorant and prejudice – rude to the rest of the world. These schools force Gay Pride Day down our kids throats. But, wearing a t-shirt to school with the U.S. Flag on it is banned; considered offensive. They teach our kids songs praising Obama while banning God Bless the USA.
So, where are the prominent voices who are standing up and celebrating the goodness and greatness of America? Reagan always touted the goodness of America and how God is with us. Michael Reagan said his dad was America's last great cheerleader. Sadly, I must agree. Although, there is one strong contender.
Sarah Palin has stood up touting the greatness of America and look what the Obama administration and the mainstream media have attempted to do to her. Disgracefully, millions of ill-informed Americans view Palin as a nut-case far-right extremist.
Think about that folks. Because Palin boldly stands up for traditional family values, God and country, the left has tried to crucify not only Palin, but her entire family. Showing more “cajones” than many Republican males, Palin continues to be a relentless cheerleader for Ronald Reagan and my dad's America. But Sarah Palin is only one courageous woman. To conquer the shock and awe assault on our country by Obama and his media minions, we need an army of cheerleaders.
To pass patriotism on to our children and our children's children, we need many more American cheerleaders – teaching character, hard work, education, the goodness and greatness of this extraordinary unique successful experiment called America.
A female relative of mine said, “Sarah Palin – and she wants to tell women – no, no no!” My ranting cousin never did tell me specifically what Palin said that was so offensive. All she knew was Palin was bad for women. While in reality, Sarah Palin epitomizes everything the feminist movement claims to desire for women. Palin is a successful homemaker and businesswoman. My clueless relative clearly bought into the left's campaign to destroy Palin.
I sang God Bless America the other day and towards the end of the song my eyes welled-up. I felt a little embarrassed, silly and old-fashioned. Good things such as love, honor, character and courage stir my emotions. For a moment I thought, “Toughin' up Lloyd, people today do not feel such passion for their country and traditional values.” I rebuked such media inspired nonsense. A majority of Americans still do believe, like my dad and Reagan did, in truth, justice and the American way.
People on both sides of the political aisle, some secretly, liked Reagan because he was a man of character.
As a young black kid clueless about politics, Reagan speeches made me feel good and believe in myself and my country. Who will help Palin fill the void – courageously pick up the baton of inspiration which has laid dormant since the passing of President Reagan.
Will you stand with Sarah Palin cheering on America – risk being demonized and persecuted for the greater good – the future of our country?

On Monday, the Department of Labor sent a letter to all state workforce agencies, administrators and liaisons, hoping to deter defense contractors from notifying employees of diminishing government funding, and urging them to forget about telling employees about the potential for massive layoffs “right before Election Day.”
As lawmakers on Capitol Hill work to deliver a solution to a looming deadline that could “sequester” billions from the defense budget, the Obama administration is advising defense contractors to forget about the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act – ensuring employers that the standards in the law need not apply to them.
“Such federal announcements would be sudden and dramatic, and in such cases, consistent with the WARN Act, employers would not have to provide the full period of notice,” the letter stated.
While defense contractors and GOP lawmakers have been probing the White House for guidance on the sequestration, the Department of Labor’s only suggestion is to delay notification until after the November 6 election.
