AGU: Palin Update W/ Kevin Scholla; Interviews AGU

Posted on 12:39 PM by Unknown

(from US4Palin; courtesy of Ron Devito)

This week on The Palin Update with Kevin Scholla: Game over! Sarah Palin rocks 30 Rock and routs the 'Perky One' in the ratings. Plus Kevin talks with Thomas Schmitz, Chairman of the Board, American Grizzlies United. Also, Governor Palin praises passage of the STOCK act and she gives a thumbs up to John Stossel's new book. Listen NOW!

AGU Introduced and Showcased

Schmitz gave a brief history of American Grizzlies United (AGU), which was founded by Karen Allen in 2010. Organize4Palin (O4P) and Students4Palin (S4P) are both projects of AGU. O4P and S4P helped Gov. Palin's endorsed candidates by phone banking, walking precincts, installing signs on buildings and in the earth, and doing street visibility sorties. These volunteers, then documented their activities on various O4P and Palin-related sites. S4P grooms like-minded college students to be citizen activists and take the plunge into public service. "AGU is a grassroots organization dedicated organizing, educating, and training volunteers for American political elections. The O4P project helps candidates [who] are endorsed by Sarah Palin, and...AGU helps candidates endorsed by you, the people," Schmitz said.

AGU Resources

AmericanGrizzlies hosts a candidate list and resources for volunteers to use, specifically The Grizzly Doctrine and the Citizen Activism Guide.
"The Grizzly Doctrine: A Crib Sheet is an original manuscript. It provides a framework for discussion about honest, ethical policies. It's very basic. All Americans should expect this from our leaders. It doesn't just cover issues that Americans are concerned with. The manuscript helps educate ordinary citizen volunteers on the best way to approach potential voters, because it's so important to talk to people and to discuss the candidate's positions," Schmitz said.

"The Citizen Activism Guide showcases volunteerism, vetting, and organizing for your precinct," he said. Both resources are available as a free PDF download on the AGU website.
"We encourage people to use the resources to vet and help down-ticket candidates, who put country first, who understand that energy independence is a key element to our security, to our economic security, and a betterment that all Americans want and deserve; candidates [who] believe in American exceptionalism, and just good candidates who understand that above all our foreign policy should be founded in our national interests and not the interests of others," Schmitz said.

AGU Reviving Citizen Activism

Schmitz encouraged everyone to check the candidate list and the resources and start helping a candidate "you feel moved by." He said the AGU model has been highly successful and people have been contacting AGU asking how to help these down-ticket candidates. "It is really encouraging to see regular citizens calling us, texting us to get involved in the political process and bringing about real change. We don't really teach our children civics anymore, so this was kind of a refresher course for a lot of us," Schmitz said.

Scholla asked Schmitz which of the candidates he saw as being rising stars. "They're all stars...they're really putting it all on the line for their country," Schmitz said, but he noted that Josh Mandel, OH won his Senate primary. Now, Mandel is campaigning with Marco Rubio against Sen. Brown.

On the Importance of Down-Ticket Races

Scholla said there is a tendency to over-focus on the large national races and to neglect the smaller local ones. AGU, therefore, helps these lower-level candidates. Schmitz said that while everyone tends to focus on the Presidential race, we need to take the Senate and retain the House to ensure that whoever becomes the next President is working with common-sense Constitutional conservatives. The restoration to our founding principles must happen at all levels of government, Schmitz said.

Schmitz is a "born and raised native Californian who has gone through the various degrees of political activity" for his entire life. He's been very involved, complacent, and once again fully involved. He had been O4P's California State Coordinator and was appointed to AGU's Board of Directors in November 2011, and elected Chairman of the Board the following month.

Many Candidates' Ideas, Platforms Come from Sarah Palin's Facebook Page

"Why is it so important to keep Gov. Palin's message alive?" Scholla asked. He continued, "even if she is not running for office, I think she has tried to explain that to a lot of folks but some people think 'like well if you're not a candidate, we look to other things,' but isn't the reason a lot of us support Gov. Palin - it's her values, it's what she believes in? Is that what we're looking for in a lot of these other candidates?"

Schmitz responded, "oh absolutely, because it's restoration, not transformation that our country needs, and I think concerned citizens get that, and I also think many people running for office get that too - from the down-ticket all the way to the GOP Presidential field. Many of the ideas and platforms coming from these candidates can be found on Sarah Palin's Facebook Page....she's made a really big impact on this race across the board - outside of the race.

All 2008 Archives Have Disappeared From Jefferson's Rebels Blog

Posted on 6:49 AM by Unknown
Note to conservative bloggers.  If you're using Blogger, check your archives to see if postings have disappeared from your site.

Yesterday I attempted to search my site for an image used in 2008.  Much to my surprise, I noticed that everything published in 2008 has completely disappeared from my website.

I started Jefferson's Rebels in late 2007. Postings from 2007 are still archived, as is everything from 2009 through today, but all 2008 articles have evaporated into thin air.

2008 was an election year, and as I had many reasons to be concerned about Obama's candidacy, I published a lot of material regarding his background and discussed issues regarding his eligibility.

It is worth remembering that Google employees donate to, are linked to, and some are even employed by, the Obama administration.  Secondly, Google owns Blogger.  Is there a concerted effort to delete history from conservative challengers' sites?

I've posted a query in Google groups, but so far no one has attempted to answer my question.  If anyone else has had a similar experience, I'd love to hear from you.  Is my blog a lone exception with a logical answer to the problem, or is an unnoticed trend taking place?

You can contact me using the link in the sidebar.

'Barack Obama is very dangerous'

Posted on 6:25 AM by Unknown
Obama Sacrifices Liberty To All-Powerful Government
By Ernest S. Christian
Investor's Business Daily
April 10, 2012

Barack Obama is very dangerous, the apotheosis of an insidious strain of authoritarianism that destroys freedom from within.

Like an invasive species, it had been gnawing away at America's vitals since the 1930s. Then, impatient for power, Obama's Chicago contingent hit upon the ultimate quick-acting fraud — capture the White House by electing an illusion.

They conjured up an imaginary Obama invested with virtues never before or since found in the original. The make-believe Obama then starred in an electoral fairy tale scripted by the media and proclaimed a hit by bewitched voters.

Thus did it come to pass in the year 2008 that Americans were duped into electing a president quite different from the illusion for which they voted.

The real Barack Obama is a steely-eyed autocrat, dedicated to expanding his power at the expense of our liberty, still a bit of a Marxist, alternately hostile to or agnostic about capitalism, and intent on transforming America into a government-controlled society composed of obedient automatons.

The lights of personal and economic freedom in America are starting to flicker. If Obama gets a second term, they will go out. As Charles Krauthammer said, Obama "will take the country to a place from which it will not be able to return."

'Eerie Silence' From Eric Holder On New Black Panther Party Bounty Call

Posted on 5:17 AM by Unknown
Zimmerman family challenges Holder on New Black Panthers, says no arrests 'based solely on your race'
DailyCaller.com
April 9, 2012

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder on Monday, obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller, a family member of George Zimmerman asked the nation’s top law enforcement officer why he has chosen to not arrest members of the New Black Panther Party for their rhetoric — some of which may fit the federal government’s definition of a hate crime — throughout the Trayvon Martin case.
The family member believes the reason Holder hasn’t made those arrests is because he, like the members of the New Black Panther Party, is black.

[Read the letter]
“I am writing you to ask you why, when the law of the land is crystal clear, is your office not arresting the New Black Panthers for hate crimes?” the family member wrote to Holder.

“The Zimmerman family is in hiding because of the threats that have been made against us, yet the DOJ has maintained an eerie silence on this matter. These threats are very public. If you haven’t been paying attention just do a Google search and you will find plenty. Since when can a group of people in the United States put a bounty on someone’s head, circulate Wanted posters publicly, and still be walking the streets?”

The New Black Panthers have issued ultimatums to the Sanford authorities, saying they want Zimmerman arrested “dead or alive.” They have placed a bounty on Zimmerman’s head, and have called for the building of an army of vigilantes to track him down and effect a citizen’s arrest.

Most recently, the New Black Panther Party has called for violence.
In a conference call recorded over the weekend, the militant group said it planned to “suit up and boot up” and prepare for the next stages of the “race war.”

The Democrat Party Is Historically 'Utterly Racist'

Posted on 5:06 AM by Unknown
Race, Republicans, and Democrats
By Bruce Walker
AmericanThinker.com
April 10, 2012

It seems increasingly clear that Obama and the Democrats intend to use race as a principal theme for attacking Republicans in the 2012 election.  Last year Obama suggested that the Tea Party was racist.  Eric Holder implies that critics of his handling of "Fast and Furious" are racist.  Lloyd Marcus, in his recent AT article, describes the difference between the horribly real racism which has haunted modern history and the cynical exploitation of the killing of Trayvon Martin to make absurd accusations of racism against Republicans.  It is worth recounting how utterly racist the Democrat Party has been and how hostile to racism the Republican Party has been.

Typewriter Test Proves Obama's 'Official' Online Birth Certificate Is A Forgery

Posted on 4:56 AM by Unknown
Oblivious to the Obvious
By Nick Chase
AmericanThinker.com
April 10, 2012

Is Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate a forgery?  Definitely yes, for those of us who have spent a lifetime writing and producing technical documents, and who remember how they were produced in pre-computer days, and who have the technical expertise today to produce them using computers.  For us, it's been an "open secret" that the document image released by the White House on April 27, 2011 is a complete fake.

Last year, as document experts researched the digital PDF posted at whitehouse.gov and published their findings on the internet, it quickly became clear that the "birth certificate" fails authenticity on at least three levels:

First, in the digital composition of the PDF, where even cursory analysis with Adobe Illustrator will reveal how it was constructed from digital snippets.  (My personal favorite is where Illustrator reveals that the supposed rubber-stamp imprint of the registrar, Alvin T. Onaka, was shrunk 24% and rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise before it was added to the forgery.)

Second, without fancy (expensive!) software but just by magnifying the PDF about 4x, visible to the naked eye is the mixture of bitmap and grayscale elements which would not have been possible with an ordinary computer scan of a paper document.  This is most obvious in the Bates-stamped certificate number, "61 10641" in the upper-right corner of the certificate; the "61 1064" digits are stark black, and the trailing "1" digit is shades of gray, and blurred.  Certainly, somebody tampered with this number.  Bitmap and grayscale mixtures can also be clearly seen in Line 18a, the parent's signature.

Third, in the typefaces, with at least two different typewriter fonts (maybe more) being used in the single document.

But the problem with most of this research is that it's "geeky," requiring at least some computer knowledge ("layers," "fonts," "anti-aliased," "chromatic aberration," and the like) to understand that the technical arguments for the "birth certificate" being fake are valid.  Thus, it's very difficult to prove to the general public, which typically doesn't know much about documents except how to read them, that the Obama "birth certificate" really is a forgery.

So last summer, I wondered if there would be some way to demonstrate that this "birth certificate" is indeed a fake, just by looking at the document itself and without resorting to computer software or to any knowledge about how computers produce documents.  And, after studying it for a while, I realized that the forgery fails the "pitch test."

Big Government and Big Religion

Posted on 3:14 AM by Unknown

Jeremiah Wright is back in the news, probably because it is election year and Barack H. Obama wants to reap the benefits of being America's president for another four years, just as Reverend Wright reaped the benefits of making a living in the name of religion with racism his theme.

The following YouTube video shows a FOX News report on just how well off the retiring reverend is doing, hypocrisy considering he has preached against the wealthy, especially the “White” wealthy, a part of Americans who keep the flame of racial hatred burning despite great leaps of civil rights and equal liberties in a nation that still, in the 21st century, must judge people by skin pigmentation – on both sides of the racial fence. If oppression was like what Reverend Wright tells people, he would never last long with sermons like depicted in the following video:

In 2008 Jeremiah Wright revealed to the public is theme of hate that has been interlaced into his weekly sermons at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago and until Reverend Wright embarrassed the presidential candidate with the truth, Obama bragged that Reverend Wright was his minister for 20 years and his “mentor” concerning “Christianity”. But, as history reveals, this did not deter American voters to put him in office – reinforcing the belief that Barack H. Obama, alias Barry Soetoro, was elected in office not for his qualifications, but because of race. The wording in the Wikipedia entry about Reverend Wright's church states “predominately” African-American – when in fact it IS an African American Church. Why would anyone not “Black” attend that church with its racial themes?
In a recent news report, has stated that the United States caused the tragedy of September 11th, 2001 because of its own brand of “terrorism”. And in light of the racist movement of Wright and his church in his usual anti-Israel and anti-Semitic tone at the Dora Conference in Qatar, siding with the racist Palestinians called March to Jerusalem, calling it “occupied Jerusalem” and with no reactions or comments coming from the White House. It clearly shows how the president stands on division of America because of race with his recent ridiculous comments concerning one teenager killed, Trayvon Martin, ignoring the fact that teenagers are killed weekly because of gangs and drugs in urban communities; as well as ignoring racism coming from the church he and his family attended for twenty years. It is sensationalism and political rhetoric coming from life-long racists who have no intention of peace between people of different races. Even the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, who stated that people should be judged by their character, not the pigmentation of their skin; criticized the use of the “race card”, which includes the person now in the Oval Office.
A President of the United States is a president representing ALL Americans. Presidential candidates should not be judged by their race, creed, or color or even religion; however, they should not be elected for those reasons either. Barack Hussein Obama is an example.
AlterNet, the leftist blog, of course, blames the “right-wing media”. The publishers of that blog are living in an altered state of mind, as usual.
Reverend Wright accused the Jews as being the reason for his loss of influence over Obama, stating:

Them Jews aren't going to let him talk to me. I told my baby daughter, that he'll talk to me in five years when he's a lame duck, or in eight years when he's out of office.
Reverend Wright is not a good example of public school education in the way he butchers the English language; and is completely ignorant or just plain ignores the fact that Jesus of Nazareth, called the Christ, the reason why Christians got their descriptive name, was a Jew. In addition, Jerusalem has been the holy city of Jews and Christians like Mecca is to the Muslims.
Barack H. Obama has consistently denied ever hearing racist sermons from Reverend Wright, the latter revealing that the major news agencies paid for a copy of his sermons during the twenty-year period when Obama and family attended that church revealed differently.
And still Americans voted for him after that revelation in 2008, his association with criminal element and socialist agitators, radical socialist “community organizer” Alinsky, a former member of the American terrorist organization called the Weather Underground, and backed by Chicago's corrupt political machine.
With that background and Obama's presidential record, his approval rating should be lower than ten percent. But it is not. And that is more disturbing to me than the pretender presently sitting in the White House.
Christianity has brought itself into the discussion this year in the presidential campaign, more often than necessary.
In an op-ed, Ross Douthat claims that religion has never been separated in America from politics. However, when clergymen like Reverend Wright insert themselves into politics – it brings religion into politics.
