GOP Secret Weapon: What Have The Democrats Done For Blacks Lately?

Posted on 9:00 AM by Unknown
The Red and the Black
Seeking black votes could be the GOP's secret weapon
By Deroy Murdock
National Review Online
March 25, 2013

‘What have the Democrats done for you lately?”

Republicans should start asking black Americans that question — early and often. Doing so could become the GOP’s secret weapon.

As Republicans regroup after presidential and Senate campaigns that they should have won easily last November, they should seek votes among the 41 million black Americans whom Democrats take for granted, and Republicans lately have written off. Here’s why engaging black voters could revitalize the GOP.

Republicans need not win the black vote, or even a third of it. Securing 15 percent of the black electorate severely erodes the stalwart-Democrat base. If 20 to 25 percent of blacks vote GOP, it’s curtains for Democrats.

If Republicans seek black votes, they will win some. As the Republican National Committee’s recent autopsy of the 2012 election noted: “We are never going to win over voters who are not asked for their support.” The study lamented that black voters routinely back Democrats “without hearing anyone in their community making a case to the contrary.”

My Black Family Regarding Obama

Posted on 12:50 PM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American

Make no mistake about it, Barack Obama is the leader of a movement rather than our president pursuing the best interest of the United States of America. To all you black folks in my family who still think there is something seriously wrong with me for not supporting our black president, allow me to explain.

Obama is leading a socialistic secular progressive anti-America movement.

Whether you black folks in my family are ready to deal with it or not, the truth is Obama is always on the opposite side of what I know y'all believe. Though claiming to be a Christian, Obama is always opposing Christianity.

Our family heritage is full of ministers, deeply rooted in Christianity. No one in our family supports homosexual marriage. And yet, y'all support Obama who not only supports this sin, but is leading a movement hell-bent on forcing us to accept it as “normal”.  Obama vowed not just to be a friend to the Gay, Lesbian and Transgender communities, but an advocate.  Now, someone please explain to me how this squares up with the Bible you preached to me all of my life? It does not. Obama is black. You have chosen to side with him even over your commitment to Christ. I realize my statement may make you angry. The truth has a way of doing that.

Americans abort 4000 babies a day.  A disproportionate high number of those babies are black.  Obamacare forces Christians to fund abortions against their faith.  But once again, you guys do not care. Obama is black. So whatever he wants to do is OK with you. You even accuse me of being disloyal to my race while Obama is the guy supporting the slaughter of black babies.

Since Obama won the White House, you guys refuse to honestly critique any issue. At $1.84 when Obama took office, suddenly you are fine with gas averaging 4 bucks a gallon. Black unemployment is higher today than it was when Obama took office.

Apparently, that is OK as well.

Despite Obama running the country for four years, y'all say he bears no responsibility for anything including the horrible economy. Obama is the biggest government spender in world history.
The federal government spends $405 million per hour that we do not have.  So can one of my relatives explain to me how this is Bush's fault?

Y'all say, “If only those evil racist white Republicans would get out of Obama's way, he could fix everything!” I refuse to believe folks in my family are that stupid. Thus, I can only conclude that y'all are willfully making excuses for your black idol.

I am elated that a few (two) in our family have seen the light, but the vast majority have not. What I find extremely disappointing is that no amount of facts/truth appears to cause you to at least question your Obama zombie-ism. Your racism is so all consuming, you're like the walking brain dead, with Obama's black skin trumping everything.

Ironically, expecting me to join your worship of Obama goes against how I was raised. I was raised to stand up for what is right – always striving to do things God's way. But when America elected a black president, our family's morality and objectivity was thrown out the window in matters relating to this bizarre despicably conniving man. His race and skin color are all that matters. Who Obama is and what he stands for is irrelevant.

While I will always love my family, my respect for who we have presented ourselves to be from as far back as I can remember has been injured.

Despite your little digs, inferring that I am the weird guy in the family, I will not join your worship of the false idols/gods of race and skin color. Y'all raised me better!

Rand Paul proved one courageous patriot can challenge Obama, the Democrats, RINO Republicans and win! Imagine what two or more fearless patriots can achiever.

We have an opportunity to strengthen our ranks in Washington with a bold rock solid Conservative.

With only 7 days until the primary, we need all hands on deck supporting Larry Grooms in his run for South Carolina's 1st Congressional district seat in the US House of Reps. https://secure.donationsafe.com/groomsradio/LM

Rand Paul Confirms There Is Always Hope

Posted on 1:06 PM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American
Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

Courageous Tea Party Senator Rand Paul confirmed my statement that no one can foresee the future well enough to be totally fatalistic. Since the presidential election, discouraged patriots have been saying we have lost the country. Obama holds all the cards. All hope of restoring our country back to the vision of our Founding Fathers is gone. Game over.

As a Christian, I have encouraged patriots to keep the faith, stay on the battle field defending what is right. Situations can turn on a dime. Who could have foreseen that Rand Paul would challenge Goliath and win? Senator Rand Paul's successful filibuster resulting in the White House backing down from their unconstitutional claim that Obama has a right to kill Americans without due process is huge.

I wonder if this latest Obama Administration attack on the Constitution (wanting the right to kill Americans on American soil without a trial) was their jump-the-shark-moment? This extremely scary attempt by the Administration really exposes Obama's Imperial President mindset and arrogance.

And quite frankly, why shouldn't Obama feel emboldened to do whatever he pleases including deciding who lives and who dies? Low info voters have sent Obama the message that as long as he keeps his vow to take care of them and punish the rich, they do not care about losing freedom or him shredding the Constitution. Along with the mainstream media firmly in his back pocket, it is understandable that Obama would think himself invincible – a supreme dictator – a king.

By attempting to secure unprecedented unconstitutional authority to kill Americans at will, Obama may have pushed the envelope a bit too far in the minds of the American people.

Also, I have noticed that a few in the mainstream media are criticizing Obama for closing down the White House tours to hype his bogus pain of sequestration.

And here is another breath of fresh air confirming that the country has not gone totally reprobate. The Bible miniseries is enjoying huge numbers, even beating the zombies.

So, to all you hopeless gloom and doomers in the Tea Party, stop it! There is always hope. You do not know what is going to happen tomorrow.

“So you gotta hang on til tomorrow, come what may. Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya tomorrow! You're always a day a-wayyyyyyyyy!!!”

Tea Party: Come Together

Posted on 4:28 AM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American
Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

My late momma taught my siblings and I to never put family business in the street. However, my Tea Party family must deal with this issue if we are to accomplish our mission to halt Obama's tyranny and transformation of America into his socialist/progressive dream. The issue of which I speak is unity.

Early in our Tea Party movement four years ago, I was shocked to encounter turf wars and various selfish agendas. The people, the patriots who invest time and money for the movement, are not the problem. I am talking about some in leadership positions.

A major Tea Party website banned me from posting because I mentioned another Tea Party group. I thought, aren't we all on the same team? I quickly learned that we were not. Some opportunists joined the Tea Party simply because it was the hot new thing.

Then there are the single issue folks. If your Tea Party group does not channel all of it's efforts to the issue of which I am most passionate, I quit!

Let us not forget the doom and gloom folks. Their emails are as followed, “Lloyd you are an idiot for even trying to make a difference. Both parties are hopelessly corrupt.” No one, I repeat, no one can foresee the future well enough to be completely fatalistic. Numerous times in my life, when all hope appeared to be lost, God intervened. Thus, I have learned to move forward always attempting to do the right thing and deliver my best at whatever God has put in front of me to do.

The Bible says,“One can put a thousand to flight, two can put ten thousand to flight.” (Deuteronomy 32:30) In other words, our efforts are greatly increased when we work together.

Round one of the battle to restore America is over - Socialism won via Obama's reelection. As we enter round two, it is more crucial than ever that we put aside pettiness and selfishness. We must come together to save the greatest nation on the planet. Am I talking about sacrificing core beliefs? Absolutely not.

Patriots, there will always be issues on which we disagree. Such is human nature. Someone said if you find a perfect church, please do not join it because you will mess it up. I am simply asking that we be more diligent in finding common ground – areas in which we do agree and work together for the greater good.

Ronald Reagan said, “There is no limit to what you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit.” Patriots, I do not care who gets the credit. I just want to see stronger opposition to Obama's agenda.

Obama and company are destroying our country folks. America can not survive with us fighting about who gets to sit on the front row.

Please do not think that I am being Mr High & Mighty preaching to you. In my youth, I made the mistake of making certain situations about me resulting in embarrassing consequences. When you come to a situation thinking, how can I help, and how can I make a positive difference, good things happen for all involved.

Brothers and sisters, the battle is much, much bigger than us. America, freedom and liberty are at stake.

Someone should organize Tea Party Unity rallies – groups across America coming together showing solidarity in our shared mission to restore America.

Do not allow one group to hog the stage – each Tea Party group should be equally represented. Do not allow an ego driven long winded knucklehead speaker who is disrespectful of their allotted time assignment to hijack the rally. The rallies must be about serving the attendees and not about individual egos or agendas. We can no longer waste time, energy and resources on such selfish nonsense.

Every time the Obama media hears negative news and in-fighting in the Tea Party, they have an orgasm. Since our inception, Obama's media has tried to portray white Tea Party members as redneck racists against a black president and black members such as I as Uncle Tom sellouts.

Karl Rove recently revealed that the Tea Party is also in the cross-hairs of the GOP.

So brothers and sisters, it is our patriotic duty to be on our best behavior. Cease in-fighting and come together focused on achieving our divinely inspired common goal of restoring America back to the vision of our Founding Fathers and the Constitution.

If we, the Tea Party, do not save America, no one will. God Bless.

Don't Freak. It's Just The "R" Word.

Posted on 8:53 AM by Unknown
By Lloyd Marcus
Proud Unhyphenated American
Chairman, Conservative Campaign Committee

When you mention the “R” word, some folks on our side (Republicans/Conservatives) feel uncomfortable. I guess in their minds it feeds into the left branding the Tea Party as ignorant racists clinging to their God and guns, as President Obama described us. I have long since stopped caring about what characterless media and liberals think of me.

Candidly, when I first appeared on national TV I was a bit nervous. Oh the humiliation of coming across like an idiot. I was selected to be on a major cable news program as a spokesperson for Tea Party Express. My goal was to set the record straight about the Tea Party.

But, when the host began her interview proclaiming that the Tea Party is racist, no-ifs-ands-or-buts-about-it, I realized that the truth was irrelevant. This woman knew nothing about the Tea Party nor had she attended one rally. I am a black man who has been warmly embraced by fellow patriots at over 400 Tea Party rallies. And yet, I had to listen to this liberal media hack attempting to demonize decent folks and racially divide Americans for her political agenda. Thus, I believe that the liberal media is evil. Though contained during the interview, I was furious.

These people are unworthy of my respect or fear. As for the media's despicable claim that the Tea Party is racist, I have ceased dignifying it with a response. However, I will state that the Tea Party is the last hope for America, salt of the earth good people who simply love their country and reject socialism.

Regarding the “R” word, I must tell you about my new original song titled, “We Are Americans”. Its message is divinely inspired and required to restore America. I was extremely excited about performing the song in my repertoire at tea parties. Surprisingly, “We Are Americans” was not instantly embraced because it contained the “R” word one time towards the end of the song.

The word I am referring to is “Repent”. Some folks are uncomfortable when you add religious faith into the mix. “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.” John Adams

Perhaps this explains why the left despises and is so hellbent on getting rid of the Constitution.

For the bible-phobic, let's ponder the “R” word from a non-religious historical point of view. Can you say Roman Empire, boys and girls? The mightiest empire on the planet collapsed from within due to immorality.

Can anyone deny that America is racing to the same end? Homosexuality is aggressively promoted everywhere – in elementary schools, kid's TV programming, sitcoms, dramas, movies, pro-sports and even cooking and home improvement TV shows.

Due to the left's if-you-disagree-you-are-a-hater tactic, absurdly, I must make the following disclaimer. Neither I or true Christians, hate gays or seek their harm. We simply refuse to be forced to embrace a sexual behavior which goes against God's Word. Pressure increases daily to succumb to the “gay is normal” politically correct mandated mindset.

The Bible says the fruit of hard work is wealth and the reward of slothfulness is poverty. American voters have embraced a completely opposite philosophy. Obama defines “fairness”as punishing the rich and rewarding the slothful. In his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast, Dr Ben Carson stated it brilliantly, Why should a man who pays a billion dollars in taxes be punished?

The assault on the traditional American family. Have you noticed the attack on dads? Long gone are the days of “Father Knows Best”. On modern TV dads are idiots and the butt of jokes. Twenty years ago while working as a graphic designer at a TV station, I was reprimanded for using an illustration of a traditional family (man, woman and two kids) on the cover of a brochure. Management said the illustration was offensive because families come in all configurations – single moms, same sex parents and etc.

Could you imagine a day when an image of a traditional family would be deemed offensive? Families are the bedrock of our society. Most black kids grow up fatherless.

Hollywood and the media typically portray kids as being wiser and smarter than their parents. Apparently, public schools agree because children may acquire abortion services without parental knowledge or consent.

An irresponsible rapper who produced eleven babies out-of-wedlock by ten women was offered his own reality TV show showcasing how he copes with all his babies' mommas. Meanwhile the media treats pro football star Tim Tebow with disdain for publicly displaying a moral compass.

Another symptom of the cancerous deterioration and racial polarization of our culture is that the “I Support Chris Dorner”(black cop killer) Facebook page received 3000 “likes”. Liberals believe blacks are eternal victims and should be allowed to have “issues”.

Is America headed the way of the Roman Empire? You betcha!

The non religious definition of “repent” is to change one's mind – to make a 180 degree change of direction. Clearly, it is time for America to “repent”.

Please listen and enjoy my song, We Are Americans.

Against the Ghetto Plantation

Posted on 1:40 PM by Unknown
(Reprinted with permission)

By Jeanne Donovan

If Frederick Douglass walked today's ghettos, he would witness a new-age style of slavery, plantations without the lash and chains. He would soon be outraged that government overseers are perpetuating generations of dependency through policies designed to capture the votes of the ignorant. Of the people he would ask, "What have you done with your freedom? Where is your dignity and self-respect?"

Frederick Douglass was born about 1818 on a Maryland plantation. Following common practice, he was taken from his mother to be raised with a brood of other children until he was old enough to work. He did not know his father. At the age of eight or nine, his master sent him to work for the Auld family in the city of Baltimore. Hugh Auld was a shipbuilder.

Douglass served as a houseboy to mistress Sofia and as a caretaker of their little son Tommy. Sophia had had no experience with slaves. She was a kindhearted and pious young woman, who treated Douglass with the same gentleness that she showed her own son. Her kindness shocked Douglass: "I had been treated as a pig on the plantation; I was treated as a child now." (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, Pg. 115)

While master Auld was working, Sophia read aloud to the boys from the Bible. The sound of her reading sparked Douglass' curiosity as to the "mystery of reading" (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, Pg. 117) that he said "roused in me the desire to learn." When he asked if she would teach him to read, she introduced him to Noah Webster's textbook, The American Spelling Book, a popular "blue-back speller" that sold an amazing 122 million copies in its lifetime (E. Jennifer Monaghan, A Common Heritage: Noah Webster's Blue-Back Speller, Pg. 11) only the Bible and McGuffey's Readers sold more copies. Douglass quickly mastered the alphabet, and was spelling three- and four-letter words when his education came to an abrupt halt.

When master Auld discovered that Sophia had been teaching Douglass to read, he rebuked her because educating slaves was unlawful and unsafe. Douglass heard Auld say, "he should know nothing but the will of his master, and learn to obey it." . . . "If you learn him now to read, he'll want to know how to write; and, this accomplished, he'll be running away with himself." (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, pg. 117)

Those words pierced Douglass' soul: "Very well," thought I; "knowledge unfits a child to be a slave." . . . and from that moment I understood the direct pathway from slavery to freedom." Douglass became ". . . more resolute in seeking intelligence." (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, pg. 118) He would teach himself to read and write, and then he would have the tools to escape bondage.

During his remaining seven years with the Aulds, Douglass surreptitiously accessed Tommy's discarded speller and copybooks. Where space permitted in the copybooks, Douglass mirrored Tommy's writing. On other occasions, Douglass used the top of a flour barrel on which to copy text from the Bible and a book of hymns that he had smuggled away.

Douglass also relied upon the help of sympathetic white boys:
I used to carry, almost constantly, a copy of Webster's spelling book in my pocket; and, when sent on errands, or when playtime was allowed me, I would step, with my young friends, aside, and take a lesson in spelling. I generally paid my tuition fee to the boys, with bread, which I also carried in my pocket. For a single biscuit, any of my hungry little comrades would give me a lesson more valuable to me than bread. (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, pg. 124)
By the age of 13, Douglass was able to read well enough that he could follow current events in the newspaper, which is how he learned about the abolition movement and the Free States.
On one occasion, Douglass overheard some boys talking about The Columbian Orator, an anthology of famous speeches. Somehow he managed to save 50 cents, and bought the book for his secret library. The Columbian Orator increased Douglass' vocabulary and, most importantly, taught him how to express his thoughts.
The reading of these speeches added much to my limited stock of language, and enabled me to give tongue to many interesting thoughts... I had now penetrated the secret of all slavery and oppression, and had ascertained their true foundation to be in the pride, the power and the avarice of man... With a book of this kind in my hand... I was equal to a contest with the religious advocates of slavery, whether among the whites or among the colored people, for blindness, in this matter, is not confined to the former. I have met many religious colored people... who are under the delusion that God requires them to submit to slavery, and to wear their chains with meekness and humility. I could entertain no such nonsense as this; and I almost lost my patience when I found any colored man weak enough to believe such stuff...
...I saw through the attempt to keep me in ignorance; I saw that slaveholders would have gladly made me believe that they were merely acting under the authority of God, in making a slave of me... The feeding and clothing of me, could not atone for taking my liberty from me. (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, pp. 126-128)
Aged 20, Frederick Douglass ran away to the free state of Massachusetts. There were many hardships to overcome in the years ahead, but he made the most of his freedom. Initially he joined the abolitionist movement. In time Douglass broke with them because they merely wanted to change hearts, whereas Douglass wanted to alter slavery laws. He gave heartrending speeches in the free states, as well as in England and Ireland. He founded The North Star, an antislavery newspaper. Douglass wrote three autobiographies, each book reanalyzing the chapters of his life and recording his evolving views of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. At first he saw no place for the black man in the founding documents, but in time he reversed his arguments.

Douglass became so renowned in the campaign to emancipate slaves that Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, invited him to the White House as an adviser. They developed a close friendship, and eventually Douglas embraced Lincoln's republicanism: "I am a Republican, a black, dyed in the wool Republican, and I never intend to belong to any other party than the party of freedom and progress." When Lincoln was assassinated, Douglass mourned saying, "No people or class of people in this country, have better reason for lamenting the death of Abraham Lincoln, than have the colored people." (James Oakes, The Radical and the Republican: Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, and the Triumph of Antislavery Politics, pg. 256) When asked what was Lincoln to the colored people, Douglass described all of Lincoln's predecessors as "facile and servile instruments of the slave power,[sic] Abraham Lincoln, while unsurpassed in his devotion, to the welfare of the white race, was also in a sense hitherto without example, emphatically, the black man's President: the first to show any respect for their rights as men." (James Oakes, The Radical and the Republican: Frederick Douglass, Abraham Lincoln, and the Triumph of Antislavery Politics, pg. 256)

Imagine this man, Frederick Douglass, walking the slums of Chicago or Detroit, and witnessing the desolation of its peoples. In My Bondage and My Freedom, Douglass laments that "Slavery does away with fathers, as it does with families." (pg. 51) To beget more wealth, women were raped by their masters who, without remorse, sold their kin. Destruction of the family continues today, and has been expanded to the whole people, regardless of their origins. State overseers reward single women with welfare benefits for every child they bear, so long as no father is in the home. Douglass warned, "Make a man a slave, and you rob him of moral responsibility. Freedom of choice is the essence of all accountability." (Frederick Douglass, My Bondage and My Freedom: Part I -- Life as a Slave, pg. 149)

In the old days, slave babies were separated from their mothers shortly after birth and placed in the care of others until they were old enough to be sold or rented out. Asking questions about parentage was evidence of impudent curiosity that resulted in lashings. Today, children face a different hazard. Women with unwanted pregnancies can abort their babies, and overseers pay the clinic. Planned Parenthood sucks the babies from their mother's wombs, and dumps their bodies into the trash. Those babies will never show impudent curiosity.

In the nineteenth century slaves slept on the floor without blankets in unheated hovels. Rising at dawn, they worked until dark. They were expected to survive on meager rations, and nurse their own wounds. Today's slaves live in cookie-cutter government housing. They receive food stamps, health benefits, and free cell phones. Even if jobs were available, they are not required to work. Obesity is a growing problem. Bored youths kill each other for trivial reasons.

In Douglass' era, slaves did not know the days of the month or the months of the year, only seasonal events like planting and harvesting times. Ignorance was enforced when Democrats passed laws that forbade educating slaves. Education is a right for everyone now, but educators have thrown away the effective alphabet and phonics method used in the blue-back speller and replaced it with whole language instruction, a technique that impedes learning. Over time, the result has been a population of poorly educated people, easily fooled into believing that the government is a benevolent caretaker (so long as it is run by Democrat overseers.)

If, by magic, Douglass could meet the inhabitants of the ghettos, what might he say to them? He would remind them that Knowledge is Power, and much more importantly, Knowledge is Freedom. He would encourage them to take practical steps -- to master reading and writing by every means possible; to ask for help from educated people; to listen to educated speakers. And he will suggest that something old should be new again; reprint Webster's blue-back speller and The Columbian Orator.
